K-Meleon only runs on Windows. Therefore Ubuntu is not possible. I don't know anything about OpenCD. It would not be possible to change configuration on a CD. KM writes to the file prefs.js. Also you could not use the history plugin because you could not write to the history database. You could not add favorites or bookmarks either. The bigger question is could you fit enough of W

Had a situation happen just now and was able to repeat it. I had 1.5a1 open and then opened Outlook Express. I had a link within an e-mail. When I clicked on the link, I got an "Address not found" message. After trying some more links with the same failure, I concluded there was a problem. I closed the open KM 1.5a1 window and then when I opened the links they worked. I went back

Can anyone tell if the value for $kFavorites is being set? I am not seeing any error messages but I am also not seeing my addition to the menu. I added the line for the clipboard just to check and nothing is going to the clipboard either. I am using Favorites and the checkmark is in the box in preferences to enable support for IE Favorites. Thanks Jujuland, That has fixed items in two of my macros. The quotes did not seem to be required in 1.1.2. Much more strict on things now. I just have to figure out what I let slide before and correct it. From the number of error messages that I am getting, a lot of lines have missing or incorrect code.

@ leveck I have the favorites menu working. I am using the Klassic skin and to install, I just made a new folder for KM 1.5a, extracted to that folder, and made a file called "profile.ini" in that folder. The freeze or near freeze seems to occur when KM has the whole window. I did some testing with the new 1.5a and what I found was that when KM' screen was about 80% of full screen it used 53 of CPU and I could control the menu OK. when I clicked the window size icon (the middle one) then CPU slowly went up to 99 and the screen appeared to freeze. Seems that I cannot start KM 1.1.2 if KM 1.5a is running. I have 1.1.2 in C:\program files\k-meleon and 1.5a in C:\program files\KM_15a. KM uses the Gecko engine which is the same one driving Firefox and Sea Monkey. My understanding of the GPL is that you can modify it but you need to release your source code along with the new version. That way anyone can add function and everyone can use the new things.

Dwedit is right that the "find" bar, if shown, has focus for the arrow keys and page up and down keys. I do not know if it was designed to be that way or if something was overlooked. For myself I use the mouse more than the keys so I never noticed this.
