The menu is coming from somewhere else. The code you changed has Add Page, Edit, and Settings. The actual menu has Add Page, Edit, and Options. It is not coming from the favorites.dll because Options does not appear in the source code for that. You need to find the place that has Add Page, Edit, and Options.

I tried all the test items that were with the writeup. None of them seems to start up the calculator on my system. Starting the calc program was supposed to indicate a sucessful exploit of the flaw. I am using KM 1.1.2 on XP SP2 fully updated. My QuickTime plugin is 7.2

@ gardner Have you tried keyboard shortcut to favorites? That is ALT A. What skin are you using? I use Klassic but it is not supposed to make a difference. I see a text menu Favorites and a memu bar item that is a briefcase. I assume that you are not see either one on your setup? Is is possible or practical to provide a way to have (user defined) replaced by a description of the macro. Right now a line of code in the macro like $macroModules=$macroModules."Shortcut;"; enters the macro name for Macro Extensions, but the description is always (user defined). I think it would be useful to have a description of the macro's function.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Configs > Prefs.js and make sure the following line is in that file. user_pref("kmeleon.plugins.favorites.load", true); Also make sure that the file favorites.dll exists in ...k-meleon\kplugins folder. I know this is all simple stuff, but I am just trying to rule out some possibilities.

I have the Rebar Menu enabled and I can use the Alt+F to open the file menu. There are no submenus under file, so only the down and up arrow keys work. If I use Alt+V for the view menu, I can use the down arrow to move to Reloading and the right arrow to open that item's submenu. I think this is what caktus meant.
