You can copy your bookmarks.html from the old "Profiles" subfolder into the new one. For a complete migration of all settings, maybe someone else can give you better advises than me, since excepting for bookmarks.html, (my own) user.js and (my own) search.xml, I prefer always a clean install for new major releases.

You don't need flash to view Flipboard.com. I've tested Flipboard.com with K-Meleon 76RC2 on Win7 and it works. With K-Meleon 75.1 I also got only a blank page.

Tested with both KM 75.1 and KM 76RC2 on Win7 and the streams on that site are working fine.

Excuse me for chiming in. http://cinestrenostv.tv/canales/documentales/historia.php - it looks like this (btw, dubious!) site serves content in both flash and HTML5. Tested K-Meleon 76.RC2/Win7 - neither flash nor HTML5 are working. FirefoxESR 45.8.0/Win7 - both flash and HTML5 are working. Maybe the site will work with FirefoxESR 45.8.0/WinXP with the flash plugin activated. You could

Quoteguenter p.s. Normal Gecko browsers gobble up much RAM and let Win never have 1 or 2 GB. Can't confirm. It boils down much on how one is used to use the browser and individual surfing habits. See pic below. Also bear in mind that my Win7 allone needs arround 1 GB RAM. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This thread went totall

QuoteGeorge_Hall I do not call that an improvement because never liked that chrome did not have a status bar at he bottom of the page. Can't tell anything about Chrome which I never tested and probably never will so. However it probably depends much on how we are used to use the browser. At the time I discovered K-Meleon, Opera Presto was my main browser (I'm still using it for cert

That's how it looks in the chronological order of your second test: That image is really small. Whilst canvas size is 16x16, the image is basically 11x10. ------------------------ Last case confirmed: round, light blue globe icon.

!!! SORRY JohnHell !!! I was too dumb for testing. Generally I'm testing with default settings. This time I didn't and forgot that favicons are disabled in all my browsers. After retesting, in both of your tests (all cases) the favicons show up. (Win7x64) Once again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Quoterodocop Oh, those russian hackers! But you're right - javascript.options.asmjs = false solves this Not only russian hackers. There are also other sites using that trick - among them Facebook as well, if I recall exactly. Be aware that the above setting might have a negative impact on JS performance on some sites like Facebook.

@Rodocop Those settings are fine - for lenovo.com at least. IMHO the first setting browser.cache.offline.capacity = 0 is redundant since browser.cache.offline.enable = false supersedes it. Now visit rt.com and test if some metadata gets stored despite of your settings.

Quotesiria Und das hat auch nix genützt...? dom.indexedDB.enabled = false Wahrscheinlich nicht weil Archer die Einstellungen einzeln getestet hat anstatt in Verbund wie sie Rodocop gepostet hat.

QuoteJohnHellSure SVG requires more processing power, but also the files are smaller. Dilemma Generally speaking that's correct. But it also depends on the complexity of the drawing and the complexity of the colors/gradients. Therefore in some cases an SVG can be much bigger in size than a PNG at 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 128x128 or even 256x256.

Als Test ändere in "about:config" die untere Einstellung und nach einen Browser-Neustart wiederhole den Versuch mit aktiviertem JavaScript. javascript.options.asmjs = false Translation: A: It doesn't occur if scripting is disabled. Y: Try as a test to change in "about:config" the below setting to false. Restart KM and see if the issue occurs with scripting enabled.

Sorry, I'm not a programmer but AFAIK rendering of images is done by browsers. Edit: Basically KM/FF can render SVG files. IMHO it wouldn't be useful at the moment if developers would implement SVG files for skinning. The main disadvantage would be an increased resource wastage. Rendering of vector graphics is considerable more resource intensive than that of raster graphics.

@Archer Bloß eine Frage. Werden die Dateien hinterlegt auch wenn JavaScript deaktiviert ist? Translation: Does it occur with scripting disabled as well?

Yes, it is sufficient to toggle that pref via "about:config". The options in "about:addons" are triggereing the respective settings in "about:config".

QuoterodocopP.S. Not only portable Flash is the reason but any type of Flash used by KM. Of course not. My point was that it comes handy to test (or even work) with portable Flash. QuotesiriaI doubt it's a "bug", ... Since Firefox 38, Mozilla changed several Flash related things. They had to keep up with Google. So it might not be a bug but some outdated way of handling F

@Mala Okeh & Rodocop I was able to reproduce the problem shown in that picture provided by Mala!!! No HTML5 video play back for that site! Neither with KM75 nor with KM76RC. Only a black strip. Why it worked for me but not for you: I don't have (portable) Flash installed for K-Meleon. As soon as I tested with portable Flash installed, neither KM75 nor KM76RC were able to play t

Sorry, I have no idea why it doesn't work for you. Just out of curiosity - you say that other browsers work. If you watch the vid with another browser what information gets displayed if you do a right-click on the player during play back?

Nope. I assume that something is broken with your K-Meleon. - Create a new folder and unzip the KM76RC-package there. - Don't touch any setting (AFAIK JavaScript is enabled by default). - See if you can watch the video (make sure that only the new installed K-Meleon is running).

It's HTML5/mp4 and should work out of the box on modern operating systems at least. What's your OS? In case it's WindowsXP or older, maybe someone using that OS could test and see if it works or maybe can tell what workarounds are feasible.

Quotethot As for using kmeleon 76 better not, since this consumes too many resources of my pc .... I hope the next versions of kmeleon (official or unofficial) were as flimsy as it was 1.7. Alpha 2  I wouldn't hold my breath. As computers became more and more powerful, webpages became more and more resource intensive. That resourse intensive code has to be processed by your browser
