The main difference between preBeta and Beta2 is the Gecko engine version. Your problems seem due to Win98+KernelEx. Others users can confirm if this happend only in Win98+KernelEx or happend also on WinXP systems. Are you using K-Meleon 1.6.0 Beta or 1.5.4? This is a KM problem in Win7 64 bits. I think this is fixed in 1.6.0 Beta, can someone confirmed it? I think this can be related with Mouse Gestures kplugin, can you try to disable Mouse Gestures kplugin? Preferences (F2) -> Mouse Gestures -> and uncheck the first checkbox option: "Enable Mouse Gestures ..." More info about this

Macros not show any found message, this is only for kplugins. To check if macro is installed correctly check it in Preferences -> Macro Extension and if this macro created some menu option search it in menus, usually in Tools menu.
