Just did some testing, and it really is just a cookie, but an independant one. Logging out from the forum doesn't help, nor logging out from the bug tracker itself. The cookie is from "kmeleon.sourceforge.net" and named "BugUserName". Cannot find any way to log out except deleting cookies manually :-/ Either all or just this one: Tools > Privacy > View Data >

Many of those things you can already do if you click on Bookmarks>EDIT. E.g. for copy/paste use Ctrl+C/V Or try "Favorites" system from Internet Explorer, that offers all that too, except that I'm not sure if you can see the title and the URL of favorites side-by-side.

Now that you say it, I think I had the same problem some time ago... And no solution.

Thank you for your great work to the developers! Some nice little additions and updates, much prettier skin IMO, but also an awful lot of work "behind the scenes" that's almost invisible just to get gecko1.9 adapted and less bloated. Can well imagine that, although struggling myself only with a few harmless macro and js commands, microscopic tiny peanuts in comparison, but even s

Oops... haven't seen anyone angry here, personally I was just confused considering your background, sorry if it may have looked so ;-) Was just putting the link a "little" bigger to make sure it's not overlooked *again*, had wrongly that impression. No offense meant

QuoteJamesD Have you tested the macro commands $TEXT = getclipboard(); and setclipboard( TEXT ); to see if they work correctly in Win98? Yes, you're exactly right, setclipboard is the problem. Have now opened a new thread for this Clipboard stuff: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?2,112227

A little macro for easier testing: # ErrorTest9x.kmm, version 2010-11-15 # Creates menu "TEST" in Tools + Selection-Context + Link-Context ErrorTest9x_clip1{ $_i=prompt("","cliptest1","xx"); setclipboard($_i); alert($_i,"cliptest1"); } ErrorTest9x_clip2{ $_i=$SelectedText; setclipboard($_i); alert($_i,"cliptest2"); }

Have examined that closer now, and there's definitely a problem with the "setclipboard" command in KM1.6 on win9x (with KernelEx). The problem is only the format, if anything is copied with "setclipboard" it doesn't seem to exist in ANSI-format there, only in Unicode, even the most simple letters. Have read somewhere (wikipedia?? MS help?) that the clipboard should

Hmmm... now we're getting closer... sounds like you didn't just add the bold text to your existing skin, but probably also exchanged the bmp names accidentally, could that be?? Or some syntax error, a typo in your file...

WHEW, am really glad that the window titles work again after exchanging bookmarks.dll And slowly discovering the new updates, like it! QuotesiriaPS-2: Just a suggestion, perhaps that vcredist link could be added to the "Download" page, if anyone has startup probs... While I'm at it, yet more *whistle* ... and a link to this announcement thread, so that people also find

It's all quite normal IMHO, new engines need little updates sometimes, and this one is really a very tiny and easy one. Must admit I can't figure out where exactly lies your problem... You're switching skins and the buttons change... You mean, they look now like the buttons from the new skin you chose?? Knowing that you're longer with KM than myself, I must be somehow "

Today was released K-Meleon 1.6 beta! Skins from 1.5.x can be used too, but need a tiny update: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?8,112137 Quotedesga2Note for skins/themes: Skins/themes need to be updated for 1.6 due to use of new @SHistory menu functionality. Changes on toolbars.cfg file in bold to show history back/forward context menu In Classiria skin too, for use in K-Meleo

Not quite sure what you mean: Simply make a backup copy of your bookmarks.html, to paste wherever you wish, or use your bookmarks 'actively' from the external HDD, while browsing the web? For safety backups, it's highly recommended to simply copy the whole profile folder to another place. You can open that folder by Edit > Configuration > Profile directory

Best keep it really separate, that means don't use the setup-exe, but just use the 7z version. Unzip it into a new folder, and it will create its own new profile in that folder too. Make sure that folder has writing rights when surfing the web. To get a start icon for this version, pull the new exe to your quickstart bar or to the desktop or right-click to create a LINK. Quotedesga2Quotesiria (win98) Window titles worked fine in preBeta, now all only show "????", on top, and in the taskbar only show the first character. Only KM pages like "preferences" show titles okay. I think this is an old problem when you use an old kplugin. Try to use kplugins from preBeta if this work fine for you. YES! Just tested and it's actually the new boo

Thanks, but pity... on win98 it looks like stepping back, compared to preBeta, no idea if that's due to switch from gecko 1.9.1.10pre to 1.9.1.16pre :-/ Window titles worked fine in preBeta, now all only show "????", on top, and in the taskbar only show the first character. Only KM pages like "preferences" show titles okay. Uff, the history on the back/forward butto

There's definitely something fishy with the formats... Okay, finally figured something out, in Notepad2 (KM1.6/wi98se with unicode): EMAIL addies from "Copy Link URL" in KM1.6 can only be pasted into files that are in UTF-8 code. When trying to paste into ANSI files, even the paste command is grayed out. I suppose it has something to do with the clipboard format... Ha

Will try with cp4.exe tomorrow...

QuoteguenterI cannot reproduce under WinXP SP3. Have You installed Unicows and all properly? Unicows many years ago, not sure about the "all", but KM16cp4 and 17a1 and FF3x etc. all show window titles quite normal and readable. As just about all other programs too, which are more or less running here  Am running the independant 7z-version of course, fresh out-of-the-box. (PS:

K-Meleon 1.6-Beta-1 on Win98/ME Uhm, hardly dare to say it, really sorry, but... my windows titles are only "??????" now. That is on the top, and in the taskbar the windows show only the first character of the titles ("K"). Inside the TABS the titles are okay. But LOVE the new lock icon!!

Have no idea about that stuff, sorry, just wonder if "7z.exe" really is the correct one? It looks like a dos version or such, the 'normal' version with the filemanager is starting with "7zFM.exe"

The web is full with discussions about "wrong" mouse wheel behaviour. I've studied over an hour yesterday through various heated discussions, from the time when FF2 switched to FF3, and looks like everyone has his own "intuition" which should be the "right" direction, and the other direction feels "unnatural" to him. Must have to do with how our brains

It's a bit difficult to describe, because I haven't examined the exact circumstances yet. Too fuzzy yet... But often when restoring a session and clicking "stop" on a page that cannot load at all (no connection or server prob), KM1.6 tends to forget the URL instantly and there's only an empty "about:blank" page left. Although there was an URL in the address bar

Must admit, couldn't quite stop playing with this yet, so here's a little macro that creates a menu entry for toggling easier Open Notepad and copy&paste the blue text below, then save as e.g."Zoom_toggleWheel.kmm" into a macros folder. Make sure it has NO .txt ending! Tested in KM 1.5.4 and KM 1.6 preBeta (cp4) After restarting the browser you'll find a new en

Hi rxantos, glad you like the browser, I like it too But just because people have different tastes doesn't make one way "right" and another "wrong" in itself, and much less a "bug" ;-) It's just that there's no rule for this direction, so in the past every programmer just chose what he liked better himself, and meanwhile it turns out that one dire

There are two huge threads about login probs over in the gmail support forum: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/gmail (right column) I wonder if that may be related? IIRC it was some malware problem, involving router-resetting or hosts file or such... And actually google DID change some code again lately! First there were tons of complaints about some #010 error in gmail, then a bit lat

And check if perhaps you have it only blocked?? Tools > Privacy > Block Java And you did install the Netscape Plugin (Mozilla/Firefox), not just IE version, right? But perhaps its always both installed by default, no idea, have never installed java on my old machine ;-)
