Great - finally someone who knows how to give himself folder permissions!! Man, that's rare, you wouldn't believe how many people never 'master' this, if I look at all the 'bugs' posted in this forums :-/

The current profile folder you find in Edit > Configuration > Profile Directory and you must step one or two levels higher, then allow yourself writing into the "Profiles" folder. Search a bit in the forum for profiles and writing rights, it's full with such stuff :-/ Perhaps you have accidentally chosen the portable version at setup, which stores the profiles inside the

Or the macro can check if there's the properties-word in the result ;-) Thanks for the explanations, desga! Soeren, you shock me, how does that harmless menuline mess your menus?? Does it work better with the other version, the menu-name included directly, without variable?? Or do you just mean the sort order is different, since the menu-macros are executed alphabetically...?

Great Mike. No need to excuse for your english, it's perfect except for the speedy typos, and besides this is a pure Danish-Germans thread, LOL!

I tested and it works fine for me, James! (KM1.5.4) Actually I'm surprised it works without putting quotes around the variable text - something I'm learning today? Quotes only needed if blanks or special characters in a string?? Am not sure what for introducing another variable, works just as well directly: setmenu("_Config_General",macro,"Language Pref Choice",_

From another thread: QuoteSoerenBOder wenn Du händisch die Spracheinstellungen geändert hättest - lies Dir auf der Translations-Seite den Abschnitt durch, der mit "If you are using a Gecko-based" anfängt. http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/Translations QuoteIf you are using a Gecko-based browser like K-Meleon, SeaMonkey or Firefox, you can customize your preferred document lang

There are some usual workarounds for KM1.5.x, like trying user agent etc. Take a look in Help>FAQ, or around here in the forum, especially for facebook... But the engine really is getting a bit old now, and not all pages can be worked-around ;-) The alpha versions still have some bugs, but if you wanna try, try the lastest version from desga: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?2,109196

Hi Mike, Edit > Preferences (F2) > Browsing/Tabbed Browsing There are 2 "pref pages", check both for options.

LOL! I don't think I have any say in the matter, but in general it really is a bit difficult to get me 100.0000 % happy And was trying not to say anything anymore to this title thing, but now, well... must admit I'm not a fan of 10m long webpages, and think that the commands+keys list in itself is already *very* long, and the how-to's are great but can probably fill an own book to

Quotedesga2If we facilitate a pref modification we have to check that the value in pref is corrected/valid. I understand that as long as the internal function of the browser is concerned, but is it in this case really too?? Isn't this just a simple text string that is delivered to the website, but has no influence on the browser function itself...? Example: What happens if a user has an ex

Quotedesga2 I guess this is a lost panel option when we migrated from old "Preferences" (C++ in K-Meleon code) to current "Advanced Preferences" (XUL in chrome). I think this are complicated options to implement in XUL and with little use. It's more easy change it from Edit -> Configuration -> Browser Configuration (about:config) IMO this language setting is of

YES, but I'd rather call it "commands list" or such. I think new users will expect something different if they read "Quick Guide"...

Oh that actually exists? Very cool, I just recently thought that this would direly be needed! For example it always was a real problem to switch the wiki language back to the own language, once one had clicked the english flag. After much searching, I found one day the "Translation" page, with the embedded flags to click, and then had to hunt that down again for every switch. Not someth

I dimly remember there were already some solutions posted a while ago... And around the time when I played with the fullscreen toolbars, I also created some window buttons, just for myself. I don't expect that anyone will like my dull gray win98-versions, and never posted this until now, but oh well Just a copy from my toolbars.cfg: #==================================================

Good question ;-) I suppose you don't mean the browser menu language, but that of the displayed pages? Am not sure how many webmasters offer different versions for En-US and En-GB, but guess there exist mainly 4 prefs that deal with language settings: intl.accept_languages intl.content.langcode general.useragent.contentlocale general.useragent.locale Not quite sure what exactly eac

If it's a javascript button, my first suspicion would be that rollover-block again: F2 > Page Display > images: Disallow scripts to change images - Do NOT forbid this. But it can be anything... Have you tried clearing the cache? Switching user agent? Etc...? More in FAQ: http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/docs/faq.php#images Uhm, are you sure it's not perhaps intentionally missing

Well... For the managers of the company where I work proper planning is extremely important. So the employees are always busy working at timelines and statistics and processes and forms and documentation and controlling and new standards and spend half the day at meetings and the bosses are always 'improving' the processes of course (=if you finally got that new program/process/structur

I just can't help feeling that it must be something external to KM, on that computer, or it wouldn't run so fast on all other and much smaller machines. As if there's some other tool or setting on that box that interferes and strangles the browser, perhaps some security tool?? Or some incompatible windows themes or such?

Frankly, everyone will recommend something different, what *I* would try at the current moment, with a modern system, is to download desga's latest cp4-version of KM1.6 (pre-Beta). It still has some bugs, but the big advantage is that it's already fully portable out-of-the-box, contains a profile.ini and the two infamous Visual dll's. And it rules out probs with the old gecko1.8. I

Just on a general note, not macro related, but talking of "Advanced users": It's used here in the sense that *I* use it too, but I keep getting shocked by the fact that on most websites today people are already called "advanced users" if they know how to unzip a file!! They'll probably soon be called "advanced" if they know how to switch on the computer, n
