A late thanks for your replies, mates... (computer tweaking sent me offline). @Alain: Could Lex1's QuickSaver for Opera provide some assistance, either by adaptation or coding example? (It worked with oGet!...) http://my.opera.com/Lex1/blog/quick-saver-2-1

The later versions of Foxit are turning to be as bad as AcroReader in my aging system. I still use them though, but I keep Sumatra PDF along for an emergency... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sumatra_PDF

213. MozBackup
This has been discussed before (see thread below), but K-Meleon still isn't explicitely supported by MozBackup while it seems every other Mozilla flavour out there is. Maybe a little campaigning is in order... http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,30735,30735#msg-30735 http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/

Sorry to bring up this thread from the dead, but since the mods detailed here have proved to be a bounty for my Web clipping -- especially when I just use OE's "'Save as' text" feature to generate little text files, that keep the message subject line as the file name, and with the originating URL stored inside in plain text along with whichever text scrap I fancy... I have a small cache of old K-Meleon resources, although I never was much of a skinner - Phoenity and sometimes Crystal suit me fine. I can upload whatever I got, if your idea gets any support from the community.

Let me just state that, while it's no business of mine and accounting nothing more than attitude, I am leaning towards ndebord side on the overall ongoing debate with kk0... Sometimes one has to stand up and be counted.

FYI, portuguese (iberian) keyboards use a slow ~ and certain vowels to create accentuated characters -- slow meaning it doesn't show immediatly, you have to press another key for it to show. Portuguese special characters - with tilde: ã Ã õ Õ - with acute: á Á é É í Í ó Ó ú Ú - with grave: à À - with caret: â Â ê Ê ô Ô (AKA circumflex) - other: ç Ç :O

After seeing that I could 'Clip' any one or two paragraphs but not the whole text of the example page I mentioned (http:// www.tcbmi.com/strokeit/donate.shtml), could it be there's some limit on the amount of data that can be transfered this way?

Thank you, kko. The console error is gone! Unfortunately, the other problem still remains. Oh well, I guess I'll just live with it, my modification mostly works -- pity because that particular option would be the most convenient -- but I don't have the knowledge to fully debug the issue. Thanks again. Final code, for the record: Mail_SendPageURL{ $JS_doit="with(top.docum

I am trying to better adjust the mail.kmm macro file to my needs and uses. I have been mostly successful with the following: Mail_SendPageURL{ $JS_doit="with(top.document)location='mailtosubject= '+encodeURIComponent(title)+'&body=See URL: '+encodeURIComponent(URL)"; &JS_hndlDoc; } Mail_SendLinkURL{ $JS_doitLink="j=a.length;location='mailtobo

@desga2: links are not working for lack of the proper referrer string... Well, I'm revising my opinion about AntiVir, which I tried in the past with (subjective) unsatisfactory results. But I still seriously doubt its 'Total' score as an accurate deciding factor, since in the last results ESET NOD32 -- which I regard as the best overall AV product (except for the fact that it

Yes the instructions you mention are still valid (up to version 1.1.4), provided that you understand that 'Config' now refers to 'Configs'... IYAM, a better solution would probably be to install Adblock Plus and just add those blocking rules. http://adblockplus.org/

Are you running K-Meleon under the same logon who installed it? Do you have Administrator rights? My guess is this is caused by profile location not being writeable by K-Meleon...

I noticed this too -- my workaround is to right click the home button and then choose 'Open home page'. I'm using KM 1.1.4 with the Phoenity skin and the 'start with last session' option selected...

Thanks for looking into this, JohnHell. Mostly, I leave K-Meleon on so whenever I come back to my workstation(s) I am instantly set to resume my browsing where I last abandoned it -- I know I can use sessions to do the same, but with me, if it isn't open in the desktop, I won't even remember that there is a session saved, I am that braindead... I am glad I seem to be the only one

I've done that before (see the other thread)... I am sure this is real, since when it happens the disks never stop spinning with read & write noises & lights; plus the whole system gets really sluggish -- sometimes I have to wait like two minutes for Process Explorer to show up so I can kill the lizard. :O
