Am currently working to make a slightly different (and independant) macro, that toggles only the current link and re-toggles automatically. Partly works, just two little probs yet, one of them being that re-toggling must be done manually if js is blocked, grmpf... ;-) (setTimeout seems not in the exceptions for macrolanguage)

Can't believe it - just extracted the suspicious looking middle part of the "overlay.js" script from the FF extension, the part between "var links" and "ontoolbarbutton", saved it as file and executed it as bookmarklet with the javascriptia macro - and it simply works, right away!! *shocked* Not bad that script, really... cudos! There's nothing changeab

Huh?! I certainly don't have those dll's either, even ran a search on c: now, and yet the bookmarks etc. work perfectly normal, and neither does the bookmarks.dll need those files, acc. to my own dep-walker. Perhaps it depends from the system somehow?? Have no clue of such stuff, am curious what others will tell. Which of your plugins (and which version of it, date) needs those files?

The top menu, with download, customize, support...? Seems to work perfect for me. Am on the latest version too, KM1.6beta2 with a few more updates.

Why not browse in fullscreen mode, that gives by far the most space ;-) How big is your screen? Just curious. If I see that right, you already have removed the title bar, and probably the main menu bar, so you're halfway done already. If you like post the whole screen. Otherwise it looks like those buttons in your screenshot are all single toolbars, created by single macros? You probab

Don't think so. AFAIK the KM scrollbar style is defined by the general windows system style for scrollbars, you can change that somewhere in your advanced display settings. And your overflow-command doesn't really hide the scrollbar, but simply crops the page content, so there is nothing scrollably anymore anyway. What are the reasons that you want to remove the scrollbar?

Funny that thing A bit blurry for my eyes, but interesting to play with... Well, I'm on KM 1.6beta and it works fine here, but obviously not yet in 1.5.4. You can google for "text-shadow css" for more information, and here's a bit info and examples for different shadow values: http://maettig.com/code/css/text-shadow.html Quotesupported in Safari since version 3 (also a

You can have multiple profiles at the same time and choose one of them at each browser start. So an old profile is ignored as soon as you create another one and choose this at startup. You did that, so profile-wise you're done. There's also lots of personal stuff stored in the k-meleon program folder, like skin settings and macros. But you said you deleted the program folder too, and

You accidentally installed with the "portable" option without knowing what this means. If you don't mind having your profile in your windows user account, just delete the file "profile.ini" in the k-meleon folder and restart

Quotesteve ctrl + '+' makes text bigger or ctrl + mouse wheel Yes, my preferred way too Another: You can click the Zoom Buttons in the toolbar (unless you've hidden them) A third: F2 > Page Display > Fonts --> Minimum font size And 4th: F2 > Page Display --> Default Zoom (probably text+pics)

My history seems to work fine (KM1.6b2 on KeXed win98se), but use it very rarely, so not quite sure... I dimly remember there were some issues with history... First the skin button had to be adapted (beta1?), later not anymore (beta2)... And remember having read about some bug with automatic deletion of history not yet working or such... And am not sure anymore which KM files or plugins I exchang

QuoteJamesD I think the pref intl.accept_languages might have something to do with which language is read first. Yep, that's what websites use to choose a language to display. In KM 1.6 (currently beta) desga recently added this setting in the pref sheets: Edit > Preferences (F2) > Page Display / Languages In KM 1.5 it can only be set manually, unless I'm mistaken: - Edi

Uhm, not really any extension needed I think. All you need is to take a look at your URL bar after manually doing a search with exactly the options you want. And then copy the whole line from the URL bar into your configuration, just delete your searched word from it (mostly at the end, after a "=") Example: Lets say you did a search for "TESTING", then this word will appea

For daily use I'd much prefer KM1.6beta, since KM1.7 is a very early and rather buggy alpha version yet, just meant for testing. Another additional bugfix for KM1.6b2, that "embed.jar" thing recently: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,114826 QuotedeadlockIf you use 1.6beta 2 without having changed anything in k-meleon/chrome/ folder of your installation, the brows

Reminds me of that freezing bug with bottom tabs in Vista32, if min tab width was set smaller than 8. Can't remember if it's fixed. Guess tried it last with some 1.6alpha version. And can't remember if the freeze only happened when the tabs row was full and overflowing or not. And wasn't there some bug with tab close crosses, which only hits if favicons in tabs bar are disabl

Would try with a new default profile (Edit > Manage Profiles > Ask at startup) If KM is installed with the multi-user-option (=default), then the new version still uses the already existing profile of a user, which contains his changes and personal settings and other stuff. Usually that's the best option, and a user can still easily switch between multiple profiles at each start.

Oops... Thanks for the info! :-) So the split-menu isn't complete if TABS are disabled. Will have to post an new file, for the moment just: If anyone uses it, you can simply fix it yourself, just exchange the word "$_page" with "$_TabWin", it occurs just once in line 769 in file opensplit.kmm Edit > Configuration > Macros (or User Macros), right-click on it an

There actually is some issue with favicons in toolbar folders and/or bookmarks directly... Can't remember details now, but there was some discussion about it awhile ago. Somewhere buried in the depths of the forum, but you can use the search function for it. Or perhaps someone remembers details?

Strange... You also miss the sessions menu. Which version exactly, KM1.6beta2 ? Did you have an earlier KM installation with an old profile, or old language packs? Do you have disabled any other of the default plugins?

Hmm... that should really work... Just tried it myself, it's fine... *confused* Are you 100% sure you do not have overlooked a tiny "spell" entry in the context menu?? I'd wonder if the macro were disabled in the prefs, but then again, the shortcut probably wouldn't work...

Just tried it, and put your link in a bookmarklet. After some alleged server problems the site finally worked again. Suggestion to check if perhaps you've accidentally blocked javascript...? (shortcut is F7) Had some fun there, this is their oldest version of the kmeleon site, dating from 2001 http://web.archive.org/web/20010310074316/http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/ Edit: Ah, now I

I'm using RAM DefXT on my Win98/256MB machine, from the description our programs sound like twins No, with just 5-6 tabs you definitely don't have too many open. I often have 30 or more open, and while it does seem to sometimes nearly kill the connection, the RAM cleaner mostly opens the door again. But I have all sorts of shields up, especially javascript blocked, that makes a

*blush* Okay, time to stop to only use memory, but I had warned you about it ;-) After actually looking inside my files, KM1.6 also needs the "spellchk.dll" in the components folder, BUT that is already included out-of-the-box in the beta by desga. KM1.7 does NOT need that additional file anymore. AND you probably still have it, or I doubt that spellchecking would work at all. But
