Thanks for that pointer Siria !! In between all the amusing comments there involving bodily excretions & such, there is actually some useful info tucked in. Sad how there was zero mention of K-Meleon though, IMO. Regarding PM - this comment is too sadly accurate & very worthy of repeating: QuotePale Moon – Tries to continue Firefox heritage but has a terrible maintainers and

I have finally gotten my win2k VM running again & it is time for me to actually do this process, which I have wanted to do for such a very long time. The files shared by Hermes are still up, and I found that to get them takes a bit of extra effort & attention rather than just clicking on them. Aside of that, this is a fantastic concept & I look forward to gaining the results from

To start with, from this member: Panzer's contributions here are THE motivation this member has for visiting this forum every day; When his addition appears in the new messages list it is instantly opened in a new tab and only after that will any other new message(s) get opened. Every single line is carefully read too. And why is that ?? It is the single best resource this member has

I have tried it again & again since it 1st appeared actually: QuotesmallhagridI am quite lukewarm towards Seamonkey & have always wished there could be a bare browser version of it - and even better if it was portable. As one who adored Netscape 3.0.3 Gold, I had hoped that SM would be a nice 'update' very much like that - and it would be EXCEPT that it is slow & bloated

I am quite lukewarm towards Seamonkey & have always wished there could be a bare browser version of it - and even better if it was portable. Yes, the big g is now the g monster & has quietly pretended to false goodness as it has consumed...everything, pretty much. Looking at the dysfunctional side of things, for those croome-only sites that seem to be unavoidable I stooped to the le

I know this is an older thread - but: Since I am still very happy using Rodocop's 75.1 Pro, I would like to be able to use a couple of userscripts now too. This was what reminded me of this idea: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/10096-general-url-cleaner So I searched here for what might work and did find Burp's thread - and also the warning that his mod bundles both Greasemonk

Wow - that is quite the list !! I am always curious as to what will run in XP SP2. Didn't know there was still any such thing as NN - when did that last get anything done with it ?!? K-Meleon is what I use the most daily; No longer use straight-up Firefox at all; Tried SeaMonkey, but it is sluggish IMO; Basilisk requires w7, which I do not have; IceCat...no ideas about it ?? I don't really have one - but the closest to my having any IS K-Meleon - the one I open 1st & close last every day. But as my day moves onward I also use Mypal. Later still, if the need arises I'll use Vivaldi briefly - and sometimes even Otter.

I see the same stuff as WasiFH documented in the OP here, and have found that I have 2 options to get around the endless & only maybe working reloads: 1 - Use a newer version of Mypal browser if I am really wanting to view that video (but it is very slow & clunky, so requires loads of patience...) 2 - Use a downloader of some sort and just grab it instead. The really snappy version o

Greetings Callahan !! Funny thing about emailing sometimes...it can just sort of fade away for no apparent cause. My tech life has been moving over to Linux-land for a while already. Given that XP was my final win-doze adventure, by that time (and by happenstance alone !!) I'd collected hundreds of sounds, pointers, etc. - only to find that my very favourite animated cursors simply ca

Well Hello Again Callahan !! Truth be told - as a tech who did many set-ups, I don't remember ever hearing more than a tiny snip of any of that music UNTIL visiting the site you provided a link to, so: Thanks !! It is lovely music & I actually listened to every clip during a meal which made for a very nice background. My biggest goal with any/all of that gang's OSes (and now

Good news perhaps ?? QuoteOver the last year a project has been underway to decompile the original code so that it could be rebuilt and development continue. Have a look at what has so far been achieved and download the updated program made from the new compiled source. Thanks for replying to my concerns about this forum Siria. We have some terrific folks here - and that is what makes a forum stick around. (That is - besides the mechanism of the forum itself, of course.) All it takes to move forward in using another forum is for such good folks to willingly participate at that secondary location. An example: Rodocop has made 'The K-Meleon place

This forum is a totally precious resource - the ONLY one of its kind, and as such it is FAR beyond any measurable value. Add in the other contributions here like Panzer's ongoing (wonderful) lists, and it is simply amazing; For this user it is an absolute necessity to visit here EVERY day to see what has been posted. That being said - it is also totally at the mercy of the (somewhat r

Congrats Panzer !! As always, massive kudos, appreciation & thanks for these gifts which you so generously provide for us. There are those of us (like me) who delight in seeing when you've added more entries & actually start that day with a wonderful assortment of new & improved things which we (otherwise...) would not know about. Thanks for replying folks !! Backing up is no problem, I do that anyhow. It has been long enough that I also do not know what I did exactly either !!!: QuoteJohnHell First, backup all, the installation folder, as we don't know what you have changed and where, and if the profile is not in the installation folder, find it, and backup it, as we don't know either. Howdy Folks. I'm very happy with Rodocop's 75.1 Pro...but the internet as a whole now considers it to be too old. BooHoo. So, maybe this has been asked & answered 100 times & places already here, but: Is there any really quick & easy way to transfer ALL tweaks, settings, etc. from the older version to a newer one ?? (Presumably copying the profile is part of this...

Hi Rodocop - good to see you !! I'm very interested in Roytam's 74G version as mentioned in the bottom 3 replies here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?19,145119 I tried a bunch of videos with very assorted results & have no record of which did what, but when I try a few more I'll do better at it & try to report back here. That guy's blog is a mess of jumbled up Italian (?) & english paragraphs with a couple of tinyurl links included. IMO it is mostly good for getting a headache when looking at it, so here is the useful info from it pared down to english only in a more legible form with full links instead (& 1 small comment added by me): QuoteSalvatore Abbate Windows 2000 Extended Kernel I insta

Thanks for replying Siria. I haven't done anything with 76 as I like Rodocop's 75 version so much & would have to do over all my tweaks - so call me lazy ?!? (Actually doing that would take a bunch of hours & I've had too many other urgent matters demanding my attentions lately.) A sort of side-funny about Mypal: The version I got into it with quit displaying videos m

OK - I'll add a very much shorter question: What is the latest (non-Goanna) version of K-Meleon that will work within XP SP2 ?? (Either from here directly, or a variant ??) Thanks.

I truly love K-Meleon and use Rodocop's version called 75 Pro within XP SP2 (as a VM). It is wonderfully quick & light, only crashes on goofy sites with excessive demands & for the most part it is a pleasure as my go-to browser. But...there's a lot of stuff it will not do lately & many sites just show as blank pages - some have webgl errors, and most YT & other video
