This is definitely no K-Meleon bug. The code of the related links looks like this: a href="javascript:" onclick="window.open(...)" This means that, when you click the link, the JavaScript code specified in the onclick attribute is executed (which opens a popup window here). But also the url specified in the href attribute is opened. For most browsers, "javascript

QuotendebordMore to the point, which is the methodology of search engines in KM, this module you talk about sounds like a winner to me. As does the whole concept of modular macros. As you mentioned before, modular reduces macro file size and app overhead, depending upon just how much "stuff" you care to load up. I'm not sure about what you're talking now. Just to make sure:

@George: What changed in K-Meleon 1.1a3c that made that advanced preferences not function when you replaced the chrome files with the ones from seamonkey 1.1.1 when it worked in K-Meleon 1.1a2? I guess, you've overseen that our en-US.jar also contains all the en-US locales for our extensions. When you simply replace our en-US.jar by SeaMonkey's, all the extensions' locales ar

Well, N., since you don't say anything essentially new, I also have to repeat myself more or less: QuotendebordWhen you developed the new search engine method, it was presented as a done deal. End of story. I see that different, as I've already said above. When I presented the new implementation, I actually launched a test balloon. I wasn't sure how the community would take

Will Cookie Monster work with the new 1.1 beta release? Yes, why not? Why don't you try it? If so, where do I point Cookie Monster so that it sees the cookie file? To your profile directory? Might I need a new version of Cookie Monster? I don't know. We are developing K-Meleon here, not Cookie Monster.

Sorry N., but the more you say the less I understand what you actually want. I'm getting the impression that you're turning yourself like a flag in the wind. This day you say that and another day you say something else. First, you wanted more discussion about proposed features. But when I joined the discussion and told my opinion, I was all wrong and the discussion was over. This

Quotermnkko, How difficult would it be for someone to change the number of displayed entries? :/ Never tried one of the recent builds? QuoteI do NOT recall that there was a discussion about the changeover to the "ring" method, merely that it was something that was developed, looked good and was incorporated without much or any discussion. I do not recall that this is a democracy. I don't like to make many words now, I just like to please you to examine the next release of km 1.1 and to see what the "ring&qu

Put your user_prefs into defaults\profile\prefs.js (in your km installation directory). Then newly generated profiles will inherit them.

You could also take on sun glasses. Another possibility might be to reduce the screen's brightness. But why simple when it also works complicated... Unfortunately, I couldn't reproduce the problem yet. I can't spend more time on this at the moment. So, I've updated the information in the wiki for later investigation. Please report here in case you find out more. In the meantime, you could try it with a newly generated, clean profile since you have some legacy settings in your prefs.js: kmeleon.download.saveDir - path x

In Version 6 you (kko) added comments on the relevance&validity in your opinion of some of these bugs. In Version

As far as I can tell, km supports session cookies (code 8 is understood). It's just that our cookie dialogs don't provide the necessary controls i.e. you have to set code 8 manually in hostperm.1.

At first, you have to figure out the correct format for the path in the Folder Options. 1) "C:\PROGRAM FILES\FOXMAIL\FOXMAIL.EXE" (including the quotes) 2) C:\PROGRA~1\FOXMAIL\FOXMAIL.EXE (no quotes) One of these should work i.e. Foxmail should open when you click a mailto: link. Then you have to append parameters to the path, at least %1, to make Foxmail open the Compose Mess

QuoteraWell, in my terms, a macro bug is a bug in a piece of code written in the macro language. That's my responsibility. Dorian won't care until I assign such problems to him (e.g. in case the plugin needs to be fixed). The wiki is not the BTS. Dorian asked to report bugs to the wiki. I categorized them. That's not assigning nor did Dorian say that he won't read the (two)

Are sure you've set Foxmail as your default mail client? Open the Control Panel's Folder Options and there the File Types tab. Search for the File Type "URL:MailTo Protocol" and check its settings. Make sure there's an open action defined for this type. Make also sure that the command line given for this action is correct and that DDE is disabled.

When I assign a bug to Dorian by moving it out of the macro section, you don't need to reassign the bug to me by moving it back. That's simply counter productive

WTF, why is this still listed in the macros section? I know I've moved it out there. This problem is not caused by any macro. And Dorian will hardly investigate issues entiteled as macro bugs...

When you've selected text on the current page, only this text will be translated. Otherwise the entire page will be translated. Instead of the main menu you can also use the context menu to requ

QuoteOutlook Express links do not open in K-Meleon. How can I correct this? As guenter said you have to set km as your default browser (Edit > Advanced Preferences). But there is some chance that this won't help. That's because OE uses IE's layout engine to render HTML mails. QuotesimpleinventorDoes anyone have the source code for the original tabbed version of k-meleon AFAIK this code is not open source. Just noticed that there's a hidden pref to set the hight of the url bar's drop-down list. Navigate to about:config and create a new integer preference named "kmeleon.urlbar.dropdown_lines". The default value is 10. Simply set it to a higher value. (You may have to restart km)
