Quotepanzer Does anyone know some good freeware which enables the user to download all pics from the web page at once? Does Km have any extension for this? Bulk Image Downloader is now limited as freeware (no longer 30day trial)..all features are enabled, just limits on the number of 'at once' downloads compared to the full version...have a look. http://bulkimagedownloader.com/b

Apologies if this has already been posted here...I guess it would be a bump for a indispensable bit of software I use otherwise The way Tiny Watcher works is pretty simple: basically, it starts by taking a snapshot of important parts of your Windows system; then it tracks changes (every time you log in, or whenever you want to). When a change is detected, you are notified. For example, you

Is there a working spellcheck for v 1.60 yet? I have tried looking through the forums and all questions and references are bogged down with technical jargon...I just want to know if a non tech end user can have spell check?

Quoteluk3Z Quotesnuz2 I stopped using abp because of the long load time. It seems to be related to parsing its very complete black list. I bet if you make a black list of just the few most annoying sites, it will be faster. You never notice this on FF, bcuz it takes forever to load anyway.... I don't know why you use black list subscription. I make my black list myself based on the web si

Shell Extensions are in-process COM objects which extends the abilities of Windows operating system. Most shell extensions are automatically installed by the operating system, but there are also many other applications that install additional shell extension components. For example: If you install WinZip on your computer, you'll see a special WinZip menu when you right-click on a Zip fi

Quotedisrupted i don't think abp performance would differ on 1.5.x versions. it could be related to the subscription itself..when it got updated, it might have gotten too big making kmeleon slower. disable adp or uncheck the subscrption temporarily and check if it's launching faster..if not, try different abps and see if it gets better latest official version (1.0.2) http://adblo

Is it just my fermented imagination or did AdBlock plus perform better with K-Meleon versions pre 1.5.4.....I 'think'it was better when I had 1.5.2 installed, by that I mean the lag that occurs with Fanboys standard Adlist when I use it with 1.5.4 when loading from cold\warm. Or is it due to the v1.02 adblock? I think I was using v1.01 then (is that still availible anywhere?)

I found this bit of software...Windows Worm Door Cleaner, it closes Port 135, DCOM and a few other 'risky' ports...so now PrivateFireWall gets the thumbs up at Shields Up Softpedia

I've given up with PrivateFirewall, it seems to leave port 135 open and fails the leaktest....both tests according to results at GRC's ShieldsUp. It's a shame because it's so easy to use for noob's like me!

QuoteSoerenB Hi, the "Uninstalling Adblock Plus" how-to says: QuoteNote that deactivating Adblock Plus plugin will only remove it from the user interface, usually the extension will continue blocking in the background. To uninstall Adblock Plus you need to remove all the files you installed with the ZIP package. Note: This is talking about the PLUGIN. I don't know what just u

Don't know if you guys are aware, you probably are....but kmeleon is taking a bit of a drubbing on that site with some suggesting it contains malware!!! I know this isn't true but, these guys are techy, and I'm not...I think one of the techy dudes from this site would do well to respond!!! http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-web-browser.htm about the 5th or 6th poster

I fully agree with the above comments in defence of MS but, I'm hoping K-Meleon does make the final list, and the browser finally gets the attention it so richly deserves.
