QuotesiriaOh, and another exciting "find" was the Translation in the Tools-menu, already included in newer K-Meleon versions grinning smiley If anyone feels like adding this directly on a button, use something like this: rebarmenu(&Translation)|En&coding Oh, forgot: To translate not a whole page, but just a highlighted part of a page, just highlight and then right-click, now th

3692. Re: Hi!
Hihi, too cool that yt really works with that fake name, LOL! Ah yes, hotlist, I use it quite a lot, so just from memory: NEVER try to add new folders or hotlist-bookmarks (how to call that??) by clicking Hotlist>Edit and right-clicking directly on the TOP folder! It will look working right at first, but next time you open it, the new entry or folder has vanished. If you moved other entrie

Found it, OOPS - there was one gimmick that I did not undo, had changed the name of the kmm-file to searchplus.kmm. Renamed back to "search.kmm" and all is fine again! :O Didn't imagine this one would refer back to itself somehow, but looks like that preftab "Finding Websites" xul code (or whatever) somehow checks if "search.kmm" exists in macros... Actually it

Ah okay, cool feature! And the german kml has moved into DE folder, but the other languages are still missing, see previous page near the bottom, attached by jsnj, v104.exe unzipped ;-) And uhm, am now searching how to configure the Web Search menu... In F2/FindingWebsites the tab for choosing the MENU entries seeems to be vanished - or is it me?? Anyone else...? Actually two, "Web Se

Perhaps in the laptop the toolbar "search buttons" is enabled and the toolbar "search+" hidden? Or perhaps the icon gets only changed after first switching an engine, or perhaps it may be related to locked default engine, no clue, just wild guessing. In the menu "Search Options", the first entry locks or unlocks the "default engine". Well possible that it&#

Hi MXB Off by One? Uh oh... Am also a fan of ultratiny and simple proggies, and actually used OB1 a couple times a few years ago, just for fun, but today it can't render hardly anything in a decent readable way anymore. Oh well. Just a couple years too outdated now ;-) As it happens, my main machine is also running on win98(SE) and it's my only one that's online Am mighty gl

Hmm, have you took a look in Firefox about:config, if your search engines list shows up there? And/or in the file "prefs.js" in your FF profile folder?

Finally realized why the search engine configuration via Preferences (F2) didn't work anymore here: My #6 engine in about:config had only a "name", but no "url" definition! Easily fixed by either "Reset" the name entry, or by adding a url to that name. Funnily, the web search menu on the globe button is built until the next serial number has no "name&

I don't like your aggressive and useless offenses either, and in other forums where I participate people with such (non-)manners would get banned either immediately or after one warning at most. Unfortunately over here no one cares, so you can happily continue offending other members. It can only happen that you get less answers. By the way you're wrong about the age of KM. It's

Sigh. Another try. The link in the wiki does point you here: http://kmext.sourceforge.net/ext7.htm And on that page you find this download and description: http://kmext.sourceforge.net/extensions/spellcheck0.8.7z QuoteSpell Check 2 spell checks your spelling as you type. misspelt words get highlighted with a red underline, right clicking displays word suggestions to choose from. suppor

Yes that's the method for K-Meleon 1.5.x In KM 1.6beta it's much easier, spellcheck extension contains less files, and no deleting of dat files necessary anymore. In KM1.6 stable I have hope the spellchecker may already be included in the browser, but that's the devs decision. Don't worry about "overwriting folders". Yes it sounds a bit worrying, but that's

Oh well, I love that configurability of KM too much, and couldn't stop playing a bit more ;-) What I wanted to do for years, collect all cookie-commands into an own menu together and place that on the cookie-button. This is a bit more complicated but not much: 1) Create that NEW menu from scratch: Edit>Configuration>Menus (attention this file is only stored in your current

Hi and sorry, am just too tired lately for posting much, my bad. I suppose the Search+ extension will cover your search options That the extremely useful privacy bar is still switched OFF by default is something I just never understood, and it seems that nearly every new user or quick tester simply overlooks it It's one of the greatest stand-alone features of this browser, a real jew

Not from statusbar, but have you noticed the built-in privacy bar? (View>Toolbars) options menu: can live without Can you explain more in detail? locat

WHOA, what a work - Comparing **40** browsers! :O And delighted of course that KM is your favorite (on old machines that is) Yes, it certainly is true that not all capabilities of KM are evident at first look, and some not at the second or third either. Some things are unfortunately not as intuitive as in some other browsers, but on the other hand stuff like e.g. customizing the skin and but

That thing is just too crazy. And the craziest is that it differs from page to page! So I'm starting to think that it's probably just some mess created by wiki editors. For me those example images hardly move, and if anything, they are placed a bit too low (KM1.5x only). And while loading all is fine, only at the end the page injects some css that moves things around. Funnily, on my m

Okay thanks, but - still can't find anything different from 1.6! Riddling... And that's with an almost default profile in 1.5.4 running parallel, and nearly all blocks down. Weird. Could it be a windows version bug? Kidding, LOL!

Have an example link? Can't reproduce it, and can't remember having had that prob on Wikipedia... Now that you say it, guess I saw that Occasionally on other sites, but it never 'clicked' to examine it closer, never realized some system behind it, always just thought "stupid layout" and either temporarily disabled the css to read the covered text (there's som

Have no clue about that browser, but since you say it has something to do with FF, it's possibly similar like in KM? If in KM you click on Help > About plugins there appears a list, which by default does NOT show the full path. But the display of that path can be toggled on, if you go to about:config and look for this pref: plugin.expose_full_path

Yes, I think there should be some 'break' before 'delete' Noticed another thing, concerning new macrolanguage function. As posted by Dorian on the KM16 wiki page, in "what's new": QuoteInjectJS now return the result of the script (when applicable). It would be nice to have that new function also for those handy macros in main.kmm, named "JS_hndlDo

QuoteIt shows the "favorites" but not the "bookmark" and I have over 900 bookmarks and need to find them Sorry for the stupid offtopic: How do you know you have "over 900"? Just curious, cannot figure it out... BTW, did you happen to share the KM bookmarks with firefox? Do you store them on a custom location, or the default one of KM?

@James: Nonsense, your spelling is perfect! We all do little typos occasionally, who cares, it just shouldn't be in the program and localization templates. And perhaps not quite so much in the wiki, but that's our fault, who know the language a bit better and don't correct  QuoteJamesDExecMacros_JavaScript. Does this leave JavaScript on at the completion of the macro?

In embed.jar, in mozilla.xhtml, there's a little spelling typo inherited from the troubleshooting.kmm Never wanted to be so nitpicky and didn't mention it when it first came up, but if it's now getting an official part of the browser and especially the localizing files, you probably want to correct it ;-) Acc. to dictionaries it's "Privilege", not "Priviledge&

Quotegordon451Alas, they're like fleas. Go look at the QtWeb forums, where they seem to have given up scratching sad, but funny picture! I think those were just tests tonight, to first test and adjust their automatic scripts, and looking what happens with their posts, if it works, if they show up, if they stay, how long, etc. And once the scripts work, and they find they are 'ac

test punycode... führerschein.de bücher.net Can't believe that, first wondered if it has anything to do with the way a page is opened (highlight text / open as url?), but now see it depends on the country code! :O Just typed both addies with my own keyboard directly into the url bar, and both contain the exactly same german umlaut character "ü". But only the second one
