Quoteguenter Netscape bookmarks is activated by default & the first bookmarks.html contains useful links to K-Meleon and Mozilla project. Details are set via Edit > Preferences >... the bar can be toggled - bookmarks also have menu entry - I often deactivate the bar. I do not know whether it is possible or worthwhile to construct a way to drag links. Bookmarks.html must be edited

ok, thank you all for this information. simple scenerio: let's say that when i install k-m, i do not enable any of the bookmark plugins. let's say i don't have any existing bookmarks anywhere. once i install k-m, i know that k-m will create a bookmarks.html file, since none exists, and i know where that file is stored on my computer, but where in the k-m interface do these bookm

no, i must still not be making myself clear. where does k-m store its own bookmarks? not the plugin ones, not ones shared with netscape or firefox, but its own bookmarks? every time i try to edit a bookmark, i get a message saying that i'm trying to modify a file that k-m did not create. and i know where k-m's bookmark file is stored. that's not my question. how do i get my boo

update: i now have the netscape bookmarks plugin running well, but i can't drag anything to the bookmarks bar. in addition, there does not seem to be an "open all in tabs" option for toolbar folders. thanks all.

- facebook.com assumes that k-meleon is firefox, and acts accordingly. see next point. - facebok gives user the option of dragging a button to the toolbar, that will post any website to your facebook profile when clicked. i have netscape favorites extension installed. i cannot drag this link to the bookmarks bar, so i create a link manually. clicking on the link takes me to the wrong page on f

ok, but this still does not explain where k-m keeps it own bookmarks, and how i copy bookmarks from the netscape plugin to k-m directly. i only use k-m, and i use ie for web design checks only... so i don't need the "transparency" that the plugin provides (though it is impressive). where is the actual k-m bookmarks menu/toolbar? thanks all

i'm really confused here. i don't know what the programers of k-meleon were thinking when they designed the bookmarks system, but it's a mess. i know that i can "import" my bookmarks from ie, opera, and netscape (also firefox, but that's yet another level of consusion!). but there doesn't seem to be any set of bookmarks for k-meleon itself. where are those stor

i did this, and it worked, but the bookmarks it imported are from about a year ago, and are not my current ff bookmarks. this is a new computer and i just moved my ff profile over from my old computer, so i don't know where it's getting these bookmarks. isn't there a way to actually import my bookmarks, instead of a ff bookmarks plugin?

xp pro sp 3 1.5.1 every page does this. my start page is blank, so it shows "about:blank" in the address bar and ?????? in the title (but only for half a second!) and then simply "a". each page after that shows the first character of the title and nothing else.
