*grmpf* No, for some weird reason the new kernelex yesterday seemed to fix that "1-tab-session-if-offline" bug, but today it doesn't work anymore Hmm, or is that a KM bug? can't remember at the moment if anyone has ever tested it on another system, since hardly anyone seems to be using sessions...

LOL! I love self-healing computers, have one too Ah yes, it has been reported a few times before that reboots solve a lot of issues! I had thought that reboots weren't needed anymore after win9x-times, but meanwhile have started believing it got worse instead, just no one knows and so doesn't try that trick... It's a bit strange that your profile is in the location of the setu

Hi and welcome Sorry can't help you with your prob, no clue. But are you still on Pocket KM...? If I remember right, that's a very old version, 1.1.x or something? Or which version do you use now, and on which system? And where is your profile folder located, in your programs/k-meleon folder or your user appdata folder? (Can be found via Edit > Configuration > Open profile direc

My personal skin looks exactly the same as in KM154 + 16 The timing for this version was very cool, exactly when I needed a KM1.7 to test and play a bit with some cool new gecko1.9.2 settings, it came along First it looked a bit like a miracle, running fine as if it were a snap to just exchange the gecko version in KM16beta and all is fine, but that would have been to good to be true  Q

YES!! Just uninstalled, took the time to rebooted (I've learned that lesson ), then installed the brandnew stable version, and all works fine!! Just one little thing: over at the Kex-Forum there are AGAIN a bunch of people saying they can't update nor uninstall the old version, since the backup of their original win98 kernel32.dll has somehow vanished (kernel32.bak, in my case dat

"FINAL"...? :O Oh, they posted the new version just tonight, wow!! What a timing for you It IS a bit risky, although the recent versions are probably much improved. But just in case, better first make a backup of your system. So "All I Know About KernelEx" I've thrown together here: ;-) http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,112558

Ah, you bet me by 15min, LOL! And the content is much the same as I had just written too, so am only going to add now the link to Alain's homepage. There's a description of his old tool, but the download is broken there as well. http://jujuland.pagesperso-orange.fr/kmeleon/ And a hint that the link to the current macro syntax ends with a 2: http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/in

Funny So far I only knew that long-clicking on a toolbar button brings up the right-click menu. Tried it on links too now, but no luck, at least not on my machine. Absolutely no difference between long- and short-clicking left or right. Perhaps there's actually some setting, perhaps even by the OS?? At any rate it seems that long-clicks *can* hold different commands. By googling ar

QuoteJujuLand Dictionaries uses a pref which isn't set when default folder is used. I think it's by default in the kplugins. The default path and Dir name is set as pref in line-20 of SpellCheck.kmm  $__DictPath==""?$__DictPath=getfolder(RootFolder)."\\Dictionaries":0; Am currently playing a bit with spellchecking stuff while testing KM16beta and 17alpha,

Your profile looks like you've used KM two years ago already. So perhaps your KM1.6 is a bit mixed up now with some inherited old prefs or macros causing probs?? Layer stuff or something? Have you tried with unzipping the 7z-version into a new folder, and trying that 'clean' version...? Otherwise my guess would be some security progs of your system, firewall or life virusscanner o

Nothing strange, faking the user agent is the first default fix one usually tries if a website is too stupid to deliver the correct javascripts to lesser known browsers If a page is coded in a way to only look and say: Who's that, a Firefox surfer? Okay, send him over javascript version F. Next one: I see, a Chrome visitor. Lets give him script version C. And what's here? K-Meleon, w

Perhaps, who knows, but only you can test by disabling it. That behaviour is certainly not normal!

Quotehazelemv. 1.5.4.0 - portable - on xpsp3 on 'atom' board asked for MSVCR71.dll i copied the .dll into the k-meleon folder - to no avail. i did not have this issue on xpsp2 on an older board ! You need 2 files. The other is: MSVCP71.dll Those files are usually already installed by default in XP, from what I read, but seems that uninstalling certain programs can accidentally d

Just a note for other 9x users, something that my kexed 98se (with 256MB RAM) seems to have problems with, is opening and closing several WINDOWS, but tabs don't matter! Tabs can be nearly countless, even at the same time. But after closing just a couple windows my system starts getting very slow and eventually a bluescreen, meaning a bothersome restart with scandisk runs. Some process seems

You'll migrate anyway soon, so I doubt this makes any sense to struggle so hard, but just for fun Another test, you could open your profile folder and rename prefs.js to disable it temporarily. That file overwrites some of the default settings with those that a user has changed. A brandnew default prefs.js contains nothing, the template is in defaults/profiles/prefs.js (supposing not muc

LOL! I'm messing a bit with that thing, just for curiosity, and tried to add a word to "en-US.dic", the big dictionary - and now that word is actually NOT underlined anymore, but instead **ALL** others!! Edit: Perhaps it would be possible to use a macro for adding new words... Oh well, probably all nonsense if clueless me thinks about such stuff, hopefully some expert will c

Have tried again in my old Pocket K-Meleon 1.1.3, and works fine QuotemeloAddress of page you got is of this type : http://www.google.com/search?gfns=1&q=guenter Wait... Ah, that's not the normal Google, but "Google - Browse by name" - and that rings a little bell... Yes... I think that had caused my own prob in the past, and was fixed after switching to "normal&quo

Uhm, where are those spellchecker settings again...? (e.g. for disabling those red underlines, if not needed) Quotekplugins included in Beta2 are the same that were included in alpha4, if this have problems in Win9x you can continued using kplugins from KM 1.5.4 Still wondering, are you really sure that it's only due to win9x and not in other systems too? I mean, not all bugs that happe

Thanks dugbugoffice, but I'm wondering, how and where shall people install it?? If they unzip everything in the KM root folder, as usual for KM extensions, don't they end up with messing it? And how does that touching with UPX work? Hmm... for some reason I don't manage to read any of the files after unzipping <riddling> On a side-note, the purpose seems to be for speed, s

Tried that network pref, but pity, no chance. Browser keeps starting in online mode always, whether "offline" seems checked or not. Had a look how my hotlist was automatically changed by KM16 alpha+beta versions, without changing anything myself. Not yet after first start, but a bit later it seems. Fix: The hotlist.dll from KM154 still works fine, have it copied over into KM16b2
