If you mean the "Windows" settings, that's exactly what I'm talking about Charlie! Unless you managed to change the main menu font in KM?? Then I'd be very curious how??

Just to avoid mistakes for future confused readers now  If your skin worked fine before, just was missing the right-click menus after updating to KM1.6, then do NOT change any of your image names (bmp) , as seen above, or you end up with messed buttons! To add the two menus, do only what desga explained in his announcement post for KM1.6beta1, that is ADD only 2 half lines with the men

My two settings (inside that little red frame) are different ones = customized. Yours are the same ones in both lines, that's default yes, and that's why we get different behavior. But we're not talking default behavior, just possibilities for settings, and a wrong note in one of the options ;-)

Well I know that it's always explained that the menu style depends from the OS settings, but now I just realized that only goes for the "inner" menus, not the main menu line! Just cannot figure out where this is set - must be some actual K-Meleon setting somewhere?? Have checked with KM1.6beta1 and KM154, and even on XP (KM153). All other programs, incl. Firefox352, adapt the

Perhaps related to your messy profile mix too, sharing a single profile with various different KM versions. Gives nothing but trouble, but thats a user mistake not browser bugs.

Not sure where this explanation comes from, either gecko built-in or KM: "Redirection Limit exceeded. Reason may be blocked cookies..." or similar. If it's KM-text, another suggested reason could perhaps be added for blocked javascript. Have this more and more often lately, on one of the 'big' pages too, that the reason for failing logins were not blocked cookies but the

Uaah, definitely unhealthy, if you're using such a mess it's no wonder!! Not only sharing one single profile with different installations (what's okay without certain more complicated macros), but even with so different KM versions for each, outch... I thought you were testing with a new default profile, at least after it became clearer that no one could reproduce, before insisting

Hey cool, even when clicking background tabs! While we're at it, if it's not too much trouble another choice for "Nothing" could be helpful for hickup mice, especially touchpads on old notebooks, or for people with nervous fingers ;-) There was this guy recently, and guess Soeren or one of those Tüftler guys found that trick to set the pref to "-1". Perhaps even a

Download again and test a new, clean portable beta1 installation, with a clean default profile, and download your own skin, perhaps the one I took as example...

Ah thanks! At last, had mentioned it before, but wasn't noticed by any devs yet

Well yes, but guess "minimizing to tray" mostly means that people don't want to really close something, just minimize it without having that big tab in the taskbar taking too much space away. If it were only for starting, the normal icon could just as well be used from the quickstart icons

Oh...! So LG means Logitech, and that's a mouse driver! Thanks desga Funny thing is, my current mouse is from MS, but a previous one was from Logi, and guess the touchpad on this notebook too, which funnily doesn't even have a wheel. And I did have some mouse probs in the past, that's definitely a hot track here! Hehe, I like the "installation" method of Marks tool

Well, nothing happened, all looks fine Tested on a KM16beta1 default profile with a bookmarks.dll from preBeta, due to a little win98 prob. Installation: Unzipped both files into the same folder, but deleted the "+" from the folder name, don't trust special characters in folder or file names.

Hmm, perhaps some macro, have you also tested with a fresh portable installation and default profile? Am going to take a look at such a skin, will see what happens (or not ;-)

Also eine Stufe höhergehen, dann Rechts

Win98: Am getting now sometimes "LGSCROLL.DLL" browser crashes, after first showing a "Visual C++ Runtime Error". It could have something to do with closing tabs and/or windows, often happens the same second... Not always of course, but rather often. Never happened with cp4/preBeta or earlier versions. Can't remember if that's also with a default profile or just

If you choose the settings below, you can double-click anywhere in the tab bar (free space or not) to open a new tab. Or you can middle-click on free space, if you've left any (my row is always 'full' :cool But frankly, I prefer to set for middle-click only the "close" function, just find it less confusing, for my nervous fingers ;-)

What's those 2 buttons left of your URL bar....? Am not sure anymore, but guess it wasn't possible to have the same buttons twice, but that was already with KM1.5... unless I'm mistaken, is well possible, have not tested yet ;-)

If you have some free space on the tab bar, just double-click there. (Attention, this *default* settings also closes a tab if you click on it instead of free space. If that happens, click "Sessions/Undo Last Closed") Or right-click on a tab and use the context menu. Or move the tab icons from the top toolbar to the side of your tabs row at bottom, there's a setting in preferences

It's the "directory" pref that Soeren posted. Believe me, I did check first that external source code box And always had the vague impression, that sometimes the "browse" buttons in prefs tabs worked and sometimes not, but never quite sure, perhaps it was just for different prefs ;-)

QuoteJamesD (not logged_ Major problem here. All my running copies of KM on my primay desktop are having a problem. They start, seem to show loading my homepage in statusbar, and then they just go to a white screen in the page display area. Is there a chance the page itself may be the culprit? Perhaps some ad with js or flash or such.. And it sounds like you couldn't access the error co

There's one really huge problem for me: Just no way to stop scripts from loading, or going in circles endlessly! Neither stop button nor ESC key get in between, nor offline-button, and not even killing the connection. Must kill the browser if one is too heavy and nearly or completely freezes the browser One of my forums uses some scripts from ajax.googleapis.com, that's absolutely d

Since he didn't know anything yet about changing User Agent (=browser identification to webpages), it's probably easier to first try the usual one: Tools > User Agent > Firefox PS: I like that "K-Meleon not Firefox" line, brilliant idea, LOL!

Settings Favorites Folders works fine for me, also checked it with a default profile again. Not 100% sure but guess it worked also in earlier versions. As meanwhile known I'm using 98SE ;-) I just don't manage to "browse" for an external source code editor  Didn't work in KM154 either. (F2 > Page Display) Back to favorites, no idea if perhaps it has somethi
