Hi disrupted ... The version I have is 1.3.7 and it only has 3 items: 1 ... Grab Video/Audio 2 ... Download mp3 3 ... Convert to mp3 ... it was some time ago that I downloaded this version. I just don't exactly remember where I got it, it was the KM Extensions forum, I'm sure. Is there some way I could upload it to you and you could check it out or maybe Matt will be

I have a question about this latest version. I just installed it with KM Ext Manager. I noticed that Grab-Video is no longer included in this newer version. I just used it the other day with the older version of YouTube easy downloader that was still on my computer. Is there a reason that it was dropped from the newer version? I've had pretty good luck using Grab-Video in the past. Seems to

The Scroogle search page still seems to be there. Home page ... not sure. This is what I go to: http://www.scroogle.org/scraper.html

JamesD ... Sorry about the power outage. I'm in PA and very high winds today. Still have power so far. Thanks for explaining about macros. I have copied everything to keep in my KM Info folder. I sort of solved my original problem. I uninstalled KM and ran all my cleaners and then reinstalled K-Meleon. Everything OK so far. I can make changes to the Search Engine. Have no idea what the probl

siria ... well I fired up the other computer and exactly the same problem. I can't make any changes to anything. So I uninstalled K-Meleon, ran CCleaner and my registry cleaners to take all KM references off the hard drive. Reinstalled K-Meleon and all is well. I can add Scroogle (have added) to Web Search, also able to delete and edit entries in Search Engines. The only thing that I have no

SoerenB ... yes, I was aware that the KM folder sits in the Windows / AppData Folder ... I just didn't add the AppData Folder ... there is a KM folder there that is empty. I am going to go to another computer with Win 98SE on it. With luck, KM didn't set up Administration Rights on that notebook. This one seems to be "locked". thanks ...

siria ... OK, tried to create a new Profile. Tried three times but no new Profile is ever created. It asks for a name in that box ... I tried duffy twice and "new" once ... I see only the default Profile. I checked the box as you said and I get asked nothing ... KM just starts up. It sure seems like KM must have Administrator Rights on my machine. Can't seem to change nothing conc

siria ... Ok I will give your suggestion a try ... add a new profile. I would like to get this thing figured out. It's bothering me why I can't make the changes to the Search Engine file as guenter posted earlier. There's something not right with my K-Meleon installation and I'd like to get it figured out and fixed. thanks for the help.

Thanks disrupted ... I spent some time at that thread and I'm not getting too much out of it. I just wanted to be able to add Scroogle to my Tools / Web Search like guenter showed me how to do in an earlier reply. However, for some reason I can't get any changes to become permanent. I have decided to just add Scroogle to my Favorites folder and I can click on it there to do my searching

guenter ... thanks again. I am completely lost on everything now. I thought this would be simple to just add Scroogle to the Tools / Web search menu. I have added Scroogle to my Links in my Favorites folder. I really don't want to uninstall K-Meleon and start everything all over. I installed it on a Thinkpad T41 with only Win 98SE installed. I did not want the KM Profiles folder in the Windo

JamesD ... Ok, I am not noticing anything. K-Meleon starts as before. I am not sure what I am supposed to see or what is supposed to happen. Was I supposed to copy "priviledge.kmm" also into the text ... I used it as the name for the Macro ... this is what I have in the text. ------------------------------------------------------------------ priviledge.kmm # K-Meleon Macros (h

guenter ... thanks again for the info. Here's my problem ... first of all, I am using Win 98SE only on my 2 computers (notebooks) and Windows 2000 PRO on the other notebook. I have done the steps that you listed ... I am in the "default" mode I guess. C:\Program Files\K-Meleon\Profiles\xztln661.default My Profiles folder is in the KM folder and not the Windows folder. Why can I not make any changes to the Search Engine? I have tried adding a new search engine, I deleted several and I edited one search engine. I can see the changes I made but when I close the Preference page and open it again the changes are gone. Nothing added, edited or deleted. I also have closed K-Meleon and opened it again and "no changes" have taken place. Using the new KM 1.5.4

guenter ... thanks for the advice on how to add Scroogle to the Finding Websites / Search Engine page. I have done it twice and the Scroogle info isn't there for later use. I can see it as being added but when I close everything and restart K-Meleon, there is no Scroogle ... I'd like it to also show up on the Tools / Web Search tab. ... but first I have to figure why it isn't save

I just found out about Scroogle today ... a lot of people seem to be not very happy with the latest changes to the Google search page. At The Un-Official Proxomitron Forum there has been a little discussion on it. ----------------------------------------------------------- May 07, 2010 RE: Google new look update! That is NOT new. I posted here months ago about it. At that time only F

However, I don't know exactly what to do with it or where to put the command. -------- minimacrosTest_killanim{ macroinfo="Kill image animation (toggles animations Off-On and reloads from cache)"; $_minianim1bak=getpref(STRING,"image.animation_mode"); $_minianim2bak=getpref(INT,&qu

slayer ... I'm using Windows 98SE (modernized 2010 style) so there is no slow down from using the Hosts File, as MVPS states, unless it's a fraction of a second. Very glad the Hosts File works with K-Meleon.

Davep ... thanks for the info on HostsMan. I downloaded the latest version and will check it out. Not familiar with it. I have since learned for sure that the MVPS Hosts File does work with K-Meleon through Proxomitron. There may be a lag time since the Hosts File is very large but I don't seem to notice it much. I guess there has to be some small wait using the Hosts File.

Thanks guys ... chrismt, siria and disrupted. siria ... I will investigate hostperm.1 and how it works. I did not know anything about it. disrupted ... thanks for the heads up on SpywareBlaster : I should have explored the Javacool site more. I have used it for years with only IE 6, never thought it worked with other browsers. I always liked the fact that it doesn't have to be

I have been wondering about this since I started using K-Meleon last year. Does the Hosts file (Windows Folder) and SpywareBlaster also work with K-Meleon? I'm thinking they probably don't ... but don't know for sure. If not, would there be something similar that would be like a Hosts file or the program SpywareBlaster for added protection with K-Meleon? Hosts File: http://ww

siria, thanks so much for the "Copy" function fix ... this is the one thing that has driven me crazy since I started using K-Meleon late last year. In the last 2 weeks I just discovered (by accident) that you could copy a link for text by just going a little more to the right or left ... but what you supplied was what I was looking for. I like the 2nd fix with the added "loc

siria ... I just did an edit to my earlier post when your post showed up. OK, I have some idea of what to do. Just a quick question ... not sure I understand about aviary.com ... are you saying that I decide to save a web page and then go to aviary.com to find it and then download it to a folder on my computer. I already have PrintKey on my computer which I have been using to save a screen p

Matt I downloaded Screen Capture and installed it into the K-Meleon folder. However, I don't see anything relating to Screen Capture in the KM Tools folder. I am not sure how I go about using Screen Capture with K-Meleon. I see this "path" in your original post: menu entry: page context > Extra Services > Screen Capture Not sure where to find that "menu entry&qu

I have four notebook computers set up pretty much identical. Just started using K-Meleon in the latter part of 2009. I had installed NoScript on two of the notebooks before I realized yesterday I had made a mistake. I discovered that yesterday morning when reading some older posts dealing with NoScript. I thought NoScript had been installed on all four computers but it turned out to only be on tw

Hey thanks guys for the good info ... I found a NoScript item in every language folder in "locales" and took them all out. Wow, what a lot of "extra" work to get rid of that thing. Wish I had done more research before I had installed NoScript in the first place. I have four laptops to fix. Thanks again for the info, I would have never figured everything out ... probably would

I just found out today that I should have installed Policies Manager and not NoScript. In the Policies Manager download there is a ReadMe text file that says the following. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- policy manager will not work properly if you have noscript installed. make sure to uninstall noscript first. if you have previously installed noscript

I have been searching for something like Ghostery (FireFox) that would work with K-Meleon. Something to alert a person about "web bugs" and the like if they are on a web page. This is a description for Ghostery ... --------------------------------- Announcing Ghostery Ghostery is a FireFox Add-on that analyzes the page you’re on and shows you if it contains any web bugs. ----

I have two notebook computers set up almost identical. On the 1st notebook computer I am able to use either Cookie Monster or Mozilla Cookies View (also have Cookie Culler installed on both.) to see the cookies that are in the cookies text file. I use Cookie Culler to save the cookies I want. No problem on that computer. However, on the other computer ... Cookie Culler will see all the cookies bu

Hi siria ... Just got done working with the Klassic Skin. I do like that skin better since it has a little color on the buttons, as you mentioned. It also has a few extra buttons set up, ready to go ... plus it has been updated and the Default Explorer Skin hasn't for some time. I did go into the toolbar.cfg and make some adjustments on things I didn't want or need. Really like t

I copied just the "Go" info from the Klassic Skin program and deleted the Default Explorer "Go" button info and replaced it with the Klassic Skin "Go" button info. The "Go" button is there and it actually works. Now, what I am not sure of ... is it OK for me to do this, I tri
