siria OK, I have made these changes. Main.kmm ## test of OnSwitchTab $OnSwitchTab=""; # test of OnSwitchTab OnSwitchTab{ # When the active view moves from one tab to another. macros($OnSwitchTab); } It does work! The alerts show. I had not saved the last change to main.kmm when I tested before. Oh, heck, now I must add to documentation. Should I ask Dorian if t

If $OnSwitchTab was planned, then it was not included in the KM76RC2 that I use. _Snippet_Cnt_Tab_chg{ $_Snippet_tabCount = $_Snippet_tabCount + 1; alert($_Snippet_tabCount, "Switched Tabs #", INFO); } _Snippet_Start { $_Snippet_tabCount = 1; } ##--------------------- $OnInit=$OnInit."_Snippet_Start;"; $OnSwitchTab=$OnSwitchTab."_Snippet_Cnt_Tab_chg;&q

I have Win 10 on all of my machines now. Microsoft has win 10 done such that I cannot place programs into "program files" or "program files x86" unless I use an "installer". I got around that by creating a folder at c: root named "km pgms". I have my K-Meleon programs loaded there. Since I created "km pgms", I have all access there.

Can you provide the url of a site to which you wish to paste a sniped image? Most of the time, websites require that you save the image somewhere and insert a link to the image.

It does not happen to me with KM76 on Win 10. I will see if I have a 75 loaded and try. I have no machine with Win 7. Edit: Control + t opens a new tab for me in KM 75. I think the problem must be unique to your setup.

QuoteDibya if KM moves to 52ESR Code it will be awesome Yes, it would. Having said that, when one compares 38ESR to 52ESR, I suspect that the number of connection points and methods to connect KM to ESR is enormous. Now, I am not a programmer in C++, so I don't speak from experience. I think that the code for Gecko is moving to JavaScript. That must complicate the problem of matching K

Actually there are quite a few. One such way is Sessions > Previous Session. It can be used to show every window/tab that was open when KM was last closed. Another way is Sessions > Undo Last Closed. This will open the most recently closed tab in your current session. Also there are two macros which I wrote that allow the user to see a list of all tabs closed previously in the cu

1. Just too be sure, open preferences and check in Privacy & Security that the check is still in the box for "Remember login data". 2. Which version of KM are you using? 3. Can you post the URL of the site that is giving you a problem? The newest KMs uses old Gecko engines. - 75.1(31) 76RC2(38) - I think Firefox is up to the 50's in versions now. It might become necess

When you deleted the old data, how did you do that? I ask only because that might direct the method to use to make site available to save password now. Under TOOLS > PRIVACY > VIEW_DATA > VIEW_PASSWORDS, see if the site displays in the list. If not there change the view to "Rejected Sites" and see if the site appears in that list. If the site appears in the list of re

A lot of the popups which cause crashes will only run if JavaScript is enabled. JavaScript can be switched between enabled and disabled by pressing the F7 key. You can see the current state of JavaScript by viewing the privacy bar. I sometimes disable js when loading an index page an change to enable only when I reach a site that I wish to see. Some of the js is written to run only upon the

There are options with the KM preferences which may help. You can get to them by pressing F2 and going the section named "Content filters" within Page Display. These are not perfect because there are so many ways to produce popups. We may be able to supply more detailed help if you could tell us the KM version that you are using and supply the URL for a page which causes your probl

K-Meleon supports Win 7. Support for various operating systems is dependent upon the support for that operating system in the Mozilla Gecko engine.

siria I don't know. Perhaps flipping again might restore, but I give that only a small chance. Can you PM me the make and model? Sometimes the specs can be found online even for old stuff. My wife's cousin worked at IBM until he retired and now does a lot of computer maint and repair work. He helped me build all of my desktop units and gave me the laptop which I now use when tr

siria Can you acquire some canned air? Sometimes that will get bits out of places you would not expect. If you have fans, try to keep them steady by holding the eraser end of a pencil so it just touches a blade when you blow out stuff near them. Over-spinning a fan can damage it. Edit: Is the battery still in the unit? If it is dead, can you remove it? Does the unit have an optical dr

Quotelepicsaintloup Whenever I print, it always adds the header and footer info, even if I remove it in the page setup dialog. It always reverts to the same settings too. My printer has no settings for changing this. The page setup problem might be specific to a KM version. Which version of KM are you running and on what operating system? I am away from home and have no printer available,

I don't think putting the address bar at the bottom is possible, but that is only my interpretation of the preferences. You can use the F2 key to open preferences. Near the top are the ones for GUI Appearance and Toolbars. Perhaps you can find something that I have missed.

The 75.1 version had small bug with the preferences. The fix for your friend's problem is probably this. Open KM and and press the F2 key to get preferences. In the GUI Appearance section, general tab there is a checkbox for "Hide K-Meleon app title bar. Check the box, close, and restart KM. The bug was that the preference panel did not always show the current value for the che

The menu item "Continuous Reload" comes from the macro "reload.kmm" and it includes a prompt for the number of seconds between reloads. This is line 31 in the macro. $__sec=prompt(_("Enter number of seconds between reloads:"),_("Continuous Reload"),$__pre); Note that I have not used this function myself.

Well this post is coming from a copy of my KM running on a ram disk. I would not normally do something real from the ram disk, but I wanted to show myself that it work work. My KM is portable with the profile included. I got a free ram disk program from Miray, installed a "E" drive of 262 MB size and copied the KM folder there. The KM folder is only 118 MB so I have 143 MB free. I

QuoteJohnHell No. If I understood when this was created, that won't make a difference. K-meleon needs to be closed and re-opened to reload macros changes. IMPORTANT Restart is faster and does the reread/reload of macros. Plus there are options to 'open previous session' and 'open the Error Console' automatically.

I did some little work on $ARG in macros in the macrolibrary here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/wiki/KmmTraining I always meant to go further with training(x) series, but never found the time. Yes, Siria is correct. Always assign the value in $ARG to a variable as soon as possible. Have you considered this for your menu which is to go away later? $RETURN = popupmenu( MENU NAME, VA
