Nope, that is not my problem but I couldn't test in the edit page because for some damn reason I couldn't log in to the wiki with 74g31 :-? The web asks me for login continuously, and it's not about cookies, that are allowed. Just comes again and again the login screen from bugs (by the way, confusing to log in bugs to edit the wiki) when I'm already logged. But as you

After using a couple of times, isn't even an info-zip format or I haven't used the correct options, but the first bytes aren't the file structure. Worst, even the GUI program of the FTP I posted above have warning for the first 1MB!!!.

Did you try the windows version, not the linked in mozilla's site? ftp://ftp.info-zip.org/pub/infozip/win32/wiz503xn.exe (quite prehistoric too but functional (I tried now)) What amazes me after this compression speech is why the hell they use a prehistoric tool to compress in a non-standard format. The fun of all this goes beyond, because todays tools request to have the latest of

Quotesiria omni.ja: I still can only open the omni in 74g24, but not the one in 74g31. Tried with 9.26 and 9.30. 9.34 doesn't run anymore on win98 Oh, sorry, as this was the thread for final release I thought you weren't referring to 74GRE31. You are right. I only can open omni.ja with WinRAR 4.11. And this is not compatible with Windows 98 7-zip 9.20 can't open 74GRE3

If we are talking about zip methods. WinRAR 4.11 and 7-zip 9.20. No problems at all. To compress them better, I recommend to extract omni.ja and recrompress again as zip. Is it slower?, I don't know, I just prefer to save disk space. And no problems until now.

@all, Ok, you have to restart k-meleon or won't work "find as you type" as it should. Tested this time in XP SP2 Virtual Machine too. I found here that you should restart k-meleon to make "find as you type" work. @Siria the page doesn't focus on the textarea so if you type after load the page, you aren't typing inside the textarea but on the body itself tr

QuoteJamesD QuoteJohnHell Find as you type, not working without opening the search box. Confirm, please. I was trying to find if 74gre31 has the same bug as 74 final that when you search and find text in a textarea, starts editing the textarea instead continue searching. Can you explain the test that I need to preform? Is a textarea just text or an input field? Nevermind to the first

I re-confirm that in Firefox 24 (our GRE in the final 74), the bookmarklets are fully dependant in the javascript.enabled pref. Whenever you load a page with or without JS enabled, at the time of run a bookmarklet, if JS is enabled, the bookmarklet runs. But if it is not, won't run. Toggling JS is enough. As we stated, totally different with GRE 31 FF or KM.

Before close all and go to bed I did a quick test and this is not a K-meleon issue but must be a Gecko issue, because in Firefox 31 happens the same with bookmarklets ("javascript:whatever" bookmarks). If you load a page with javascript disabled, even enable after load, bye, bye, bookmarklets functionality. The only way, the same as K-meleon. Have enabled JS before load. Securi

QuoteJamesD I did not mean the 4th test ran as siria set it up. The javascript only runs when the page was loaded with JS enabled. I did one and four only because those lines could be directly replaced. Toggling the JS after the page has loaded has no effect on my system which is Win 7(32 bit) using KM 74 g31 u1. I was testing 74g31u1 on it too after I understood it could run on Win7. O

Maybe I got lost. Did I understand correctly?, if you, JamesD, are able to run the injectJS in the 4th scenario: Load a page with javascript disabled, enable after load and run a macro with injectJS command? I'd swear that in the virtual machine with Win7 I just tested now that doesn't work... EDIT: I did with you v3 siria :-? Maybe I did it wrong. Running the VM is a pain a

No, "about:newtab", the equivalent for Gecko browsers, is not available in K-meleon.

Windows 2000 as you already know - No crash with right click - No crash saving pages and images I'm not actively testing this version, just when you update something and I took the opportunity to test this too: - working certificate window in 74 GRE31u1 (didn't test without the update) (you may remember that window that didn't work the OK Cancel buttons when signing)

QuoteYogi Are you aware of a decent filtering proxy that can handle compressed headers? Nop. No idea, sorry :/

QuoteYogi That's kind but really no need to do it for Yogi. I have no clue about programming and I'm no IT expert but at least I can still handle myself pages I don't want and prefer to do so outside the browser. But who knows, maybe in future whith HTML6? Filters based on HTTP headers are already in trouble with Google's SPDY. Otherwise facebook & co might be essentia

I know it is annoying, but only want to point again that they are harmless. True is that if you "don't visit" (directly) a site is annoying seeing how they are being added; but them added has the benefit of force browser to use SSL and don't fallback to plain text or start the connection with the domain in SSL instead plain text when you don't type the https prefix.

Mozillazine is not up to date nowadays, even being a wiki. I don't know you, but when I search for an explanation for new features I end very often in the developer pages of Mozilla :/ About updates and predefined lists :-? I don't think K-meleon auto-updates it or it has a predefined one. At least in a fresh profile it only has the permission addons.mozilla.org with install type

I'll resume all in one thing: use the sqlite manager extension. Why I talk about HSTS. Have a look to the tables inside permissions.sqlite and you'll understand. I'm not mixing things with the POODLE (TLS/SSL problem). You could see this in a very easy way in the past current versions in Seamonkey with the included Data Manager. In some ways, the add-on link you provide

But this one won't avoid to set HSTS permissions. It is just a permissions.sqlite editor but more friendly than Sqlite manager. The only way to avoid is to set in the hosts file the domains you don't like to "knock knock" to.

Don't forget also scripts calls. Another method to set HSTS or cookies. When the browser requests scripts from those sites from a third party site, you are calling their servers, and in the HTTP headers also come cookies and HSTS. Not necessarily an iframe, thinking about it... We are caught with every step

If you mean the sts/subd and sts/use permissions, are automatically added and, if I recall correctly, were by http headers telling that the domain must use ever secure access and at what levels of the domain. How is it possible that they add even you "don't visit" them? Easy. Do you know those "Like", "Tweets" and other widgets you see on the sites? Mos

Probably cipher error as they are requesting a handsake with it unavailable in the client side. Does K-meleon 1.6 have these ciphers? ECDHE-RSA-RC4-SHA ---- for google.com ECDHE-RSA-AES128-SHA ---- for mobile.twitter.com I had the second in the prefs from 1.6 as false in my old installation. I couldn't find the other.

Quoteguenter IMHO there is no point in setting security.tls.version.min to 1 or higher. Because than You have no security on pages that are exploitable but where nobody currently tries with the tricks described. It has much point. From now, the responsability in how response the server is in the server admins. If SSLv3 is insecure, we shouldn't let them connect. It's true th

Guenter, the problem aren't the ciphers, it is the protocol. Please, all, leave the ciphers as default.

You are not correct. What you are posting are ciphers. The default min version for security version is SSLv3 in K-meleon. Change the preference security.tls.version.min to 1 to avoid using SSLv3. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Security.tls.version.%2A EDIT: bold text to highlight.

Google, but used as kind of proxy for privacy purposes, is StartPage.com from the same people as ixquick.com (but this one uses more search engines together in the results). But even StartPage.com is the same as Google, sometimes results are filtered (and I don't mean safe search). I don't know exactly why this happens. Maybe the proxy used.

SQlite manager Extension to open webappsstore.sqlite: http://kmext.sourceforge.net/km74/ Maybe you haven't found a site that requires it, but there are a few, starting with Google in a simple services as its search engine (to display some submenus (I don't know why they do this but it is a shit)). You'll amaze the stupid things they store there... Also, you don't nee

When I said Flash with 3D capabilities I'm not meaning a new Flash player but the actual Flash Player which with the latests versions is improving more and more its 3D capabilities if you read the beta pdf release notes it is mentioned sometimes Also I didn't say Shockwave was abandoned but quite abandoned in favor of the newest Flash 3D capilities or AIR.
