Thank you for the links, Fred. I'm following heise news but had not read this particular article. As far as I've understood it, these iframes are injected into search results in a way that the user, when clicking a link, is directed to a different site than he actually wanted to visit. On this site, the user is then offered to download software which is actually malware. This malware

Quotea-dAs for the frames question, can anyone tell me if disabling frame support through K-M's "UI" preferences would prevent a malicious iframe from loading and doing it's damage? Sorry, I thought I had already answered that: QuotekkoQuotea-dLike I-Frames, I am curious if disabling frame support in K-M would protect the browser from a malicious I-Frame exploit within a

Quotea-dIs the "Frames Support" option in K-M's preferences the same as a frame in a web page? Yes. Quotea-dLike I-Frames, I am curious if disabling frame support in K-M would protect the browser from a malicious I-Frame exploit within a web page. Yes, an iframe is just a special sort of a frame. But disabling frame support is more a theoretical option since also several ext

Well, shooting from the hip I can't provide you with any way to automatically click a button on a page through JavaScript. I don't know any. Principally you only need to figure out what data the page is sending to the server when you press the button. Then you can use an appropriate program or HTML+JavaScript+browser to send this data automatically. But when you can't figure out

Macros can interact with web pages to a certain degree. For instance, they can dynamically generate JavaScript code and inject it into a page. Here is a good point to start at. The default macros demonstrate the usage (Edit > Configuration > Macros).

Jonny, thanks for the clarification. It would have been easier for us if you had mentioned your tweaking right at the beginning. OK, what I can tell is that when you set browser.display.use_focus_colors to true, then this will also affect dropdown lists. I think that's correct since the focus colors are meant to help you finding the currently active input element. However, when you se

Jonny, What you describe is not normal. Your km installation may be broken. Try to uninstall and reinstall it. If that doesn't help, redownload the installation package - it might be corrupt. PS: Are you sure it's not your profile? Have you tweaked any user styles?

Vielleicht erklärst du mal, was du mit '

QuoteEugen MezeiExcuse me, I am the one who uses 256 colors. ;-) Congrats! I don't remember having met anybody else in the three years I'm around here. QuoteEugen MezeiMy understanding of KM is -correct me if I am wrong- that it was written to be a lightweight browser for older hardware. I fear, you misunderstood something. QuoteEugen MezeiSo it hit me that KM uses for all his icons more than 256 colors. The number of used colors depends on the particular skin (as Fred mentioned). You may find fitting skins in the K-Meleon Themes Wiki. QuoteEugen MezeiWho needs this? Is it really necessary that every tiny button has thousands of colours? 256 would be more than enough, I would say 16 colors is exactly right, b

QuoteJujuLandSend me your modified version ... What modified version? As you can see the file was last modified (i.e. compiled) on May 16, 2007. The application displays K-Meleon 1.1 Setup Assistant. So, what the hell should I have modified? QuoteJujuLandBug 966 (2007-12-20) updated. Please add that 'Ask at Startup' is related to the profile manager. How should Dorian understan

QuoteJujuLandSome little problems with SetDefault: It seems you use 1.3.1.2 SetDefault version. ... :p Mon Dieu, this is an alpha release! Better do something useful and find us a solution for Windows Vista. QuoteJujuLandJust a little problem with kmprefs in proxy page (New configuration): would it be possible to put the sample on the same line not to have to scroll to have the end of

Hmm, yet, I've no clue what's causing this. But I can offer a workaround: Open Edit > Configuration > Macros. Open main.kmm with a text editor. Search for the string '$_JS_urlencode="function urlencode'. This will match the following line: $_JS_urlencode="function urlencode(s){return encodeURIComponent(s).replace(/%25({2})/g,'%$1').replace(/%23/

@ra: Just enable/disable tabs in Preferences. That should fix it. Another possibility is enabling the 'compat' macro module and restarting km.

Quotewho knowsI noticed the copyright on K-Meleon is listed as 2000-2007. It is now 2008. Does the date no longer matter? The year mentioned in a copyright notice for a work is the year in which the work was made. K-Meleon 1.1.4 uses the same K-Meleon code than earlier 1.1.x versions and K-Meleon 1.1 was made in 2007. K-Meleon 1.1.4 only uses newer (2008) Mozilla (Gecko) code. So the copyright

QuoteTerryWould it be possible to move the Menu bar from being a tool bar and attach the menu on the top line, lets say next to where the minimize, resize window and close buttons are? I don't know whether it's possible but it would be uncommon - the title bar is an OS element, it's always the same in all applications. Did you know that we've a compact menu? All default tool

QuoteRapidoHow do you mean kko? Copy & Paste, Rapido! Copy & Paste! QuoteRapidoI'm not sure I understand exactly. Errm, well, as I can see you managed to copy the code for the "&Zoom Buttons" toolbar from your custom toolbars.cfg and to paste it into your browser. Copying this code from a default (Phoenity) toolbars.cfg into your custom toolbars.cfg works exactly

There are no "Zoom In" and "Zoom Out" plugins and you are calling non-existent macros. Copy the zoom buttons from one of the default skins and adapt the bitmap names/indexes.

Quotedesga2Why 'Options...' menu item is showed in this case without called it? It's added by a macro if you mean that. Quotedesga2Why in menu View -> Tabs the tabs showed are correctly refreshed

QuoteEugen MezeiI still would like to have the Netscape approach as I find that one as the most nothinking method, pretty reflex movement. It's not a question of thinking or reflex movement, it's just a question of what you're used to.
