Is there a User Agent entry that will allow K-Meleon to display every internet page adequately? I have looked through the User Agent suggestions to improve facebook and myspace functionality with the User Agent switcher extension but even with that option, there are still many websites that will not display their contents correctly. From what I understand this is due to the slightly older Geck

Quotendebord Another reason why I like K-Meleon is how it handles plugins. For Flash I just use the flash dll in the plugins folder and do not have flash installed in a windows folder. Together with FlashBlock, it means I don't have to see a flash video unless I click on it, a distinct plus to my mind. Additional perk? Just using the dll means absolutely no flash cookies hiding deep within t

I had a look at the results so far for the poll of the 'Big Boys' too I'm so glad to see Chrome pick up a similar number of votes as IE8 I don't know how popular these Reader's Choice awards are but I think Google should scrap that browser project altogether From the choice of independent browsers it's a no-brainer really

K-Meleon is the best browser solution for the Windows platform When you use Chrome, FireFox, Opera and lets not forget Internet Explorer, most of the time you aren't aware what else it's doing in the background and it definitely makes the browsing experience a lot less enjoyable when things suddenly go wrong for no reason. K-Meleon appears to simply do what you ask it to withou

To my surprise I have noticed that the problem with MIME Type helper applications in this build of K-Meleon with the Gecko 1.9.1 engine isn't just limited to the mms: protocol. Other links that require helper applications such as links that correspond to peer to peer programs eg. TVAnts, Sopcast or StreamTorrent, aren't handled properly either with this K-Meleon build whereas the same v

Hi again Fred and Guenter, I can confirm it's not a problem with the plugins because I visited the Windows Media Player plugin test page on this link Mozilla Plugin Test and the video plays correctly. I also created the Mediaplayers.kmm file according to your instructions Fred and the option to play in Windows Media Player works when I right click on the mms: link. I was just wondering

Hi disrupted, I thought about that as well and tried a moment ago but unfortunately it didn't make any difference. I had a look at the about : plugins page too and it displays the correct information for the windows media player plugins it has detected. The strange thing is that it's choosing not to use them even though I have manually added the relevant entries in the MIME types men

Fred and Guenter thank you for your help and suggestions The MIME Types Preferences menu is now working but I'm having some trouble getting the MMS protocol to launch properly with Windows Media Player. With K-Meleon-1.5.3-Gecko1.8 all mms media links launch normally with the relevant message box indicating that it will handle mms with the correct application (wmplayer.exe) Any hel

Is there a way to enable the MIME Types settings in this edition ? MIME Types configuration via the Edit menu seems to be disabled so I'm wondering if there's a different way around this. Very nice build and the efforts to introduce Gecko 1.9 are greatly appreciated
