The OP's question and problem reminds me of a previous post quite a while ago with the same "apparent" problem (but I can't find it as I can't remember the exact terms of that post) - maybe someone else can ?

Quotekingsparrow K-mel is unique in a way, the browser have a personality of it's own that differentiates itself from the others I had tried to use..............guessed it's the browser for me. I agree with kingsparrow +++ 1 ... but snuz you do make some good points that I agree with.

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year to all and thanks again for this so-friendly forum and for all the work done on KM (though I must admit (re : panzer's message to Disrupted) that I am sometimes unfaithful and use SRWare Iron sometimes !).

Don't know if anyone here is interested (i.e. not too jaded or blasé) but there's a petition running currently on Avaaz : "Right now, the US Congress is debating a law that would give them the power to censor the world's internet -- creating a blacklist that could target Youtube, WikiLeaks and even groups like Avaaz! Under the new law, the US could force internet provid

Hi snuz and thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure that I agree with everything you say (though that doesn't mean I'm right either). KM builds two caches : a memory cache device and a disk cache device, however they do not stock entirely the same data. In my case the disk cache is held on a ramdisk and I can say that I have noticed speedier loading when using it and not a HDD d

Thanks James for the accelerator key - it is much quicker than going round the houses : perfect. And it's given me an idea for something else to make life easier. @snuz2 : I should have mentioned that I do use a ramdisk for the cache as this explains the phenomena and why I want to check on its status. Have a good weekend.

What do you think? A progress bar showing the used space of the cache in the statusbar. This would be useful for me as after loading lots of images or videos KM begins to slow as the cache is nearly full - the progress bar could even have a context menu allowing to empty the cache (disk and/or memory).

Thanks km2 - but it's not much clearer for me : JS is enabled in the global preferences (first thing I checked) and I can't find any references to PM in the Preferential window. Could you expand please ? Thanks.

So, with all settings set to ON, PolicyManager removed, ADP switched off etc. etc. I still can't use many sites because I get the dreaded "Javascript off in your browser" message. I've tried different Useragents in fact I've tried everything I can think of but to no avail - any ideas ? Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.24pre) Gecko/20100228 K-M

Quotemookbark mhf, as you type in the bookmarks editor you can see the word forming in the title bar, the backspace key works normally here. If you type "k-mel" it jumps to the first link with k-meleon in the title, you can then press F3 or TAB to move forward (but not backward as far as I know) through other links with k-mel in the title, or you can keep typing. No url search unfortuna

I've done a search here about this and there are a few posts going from 2 or 3 years back to 8 years old. I know you can just open bookmarks > edit and start typing but that only works once - I would really like a search window in the bookmarks editor...

I was wondering if it wouldn't be useful to add a sticky explaining to everyone how to migrate up to 1.6 from a previous version : importing profiles, plugins, macros, skins and so on. What to do and not do. This may seem simple to some but I'm sure not to all ... wadyathink ?

QuoteJamesD @ mhf Don't forget to change your copy from 6 to 10 in two places. James : yes I did. Thanks again. 1.2 works - no more errors, and I'm beginning to understand a little ... Martin.

Found a bug : I increased the number of placeholders to 10 (as per James' reply above) but now when I try to delete a link I get a message with Number entered is out of range - any ideas ?

Quotendebord Excellent little macro... put it in macros in profile. Easier to use than Hotlinks and just a very useful addition that I find addictive. Thanks. Glad you like it ... No seriously, all thanks to James.
