QuoteYogiI did test with a HTTP/HTTPS local proxy and a SOCKS local proxy. On/off, switching between them - everything works fine as expected. Sorry for not testing with system wide proxy. I never set up a proxy system wide (hate it). However I did test at least the system wide proxy setting empiric. I simply set up some bogus server & port number and K-Meleon complained that the system wi

At any rate it is the age old gecko string that causes your prob - whatever creates it? QuoteKM2005siria, I'm meaning the FF UA is the one chosen from the UA selection tool in KM KM74 does not have any UA macro included by default. If you have copied over the version from KM1.6, could it be you have that string not native but stored in your fake list? If you check in about:config, is it

So the question is, is that wrong gecko version caused by your proxy, or by KM itself? And why add FF at all - is there any way you can persuade your proxy NOT to add a FF string to native KM, or is it your KM pref? Or does the proxy let you use a fake UA at all? Sorry, have no clue about proxies either. If yes, set the "custom" UA to the real gecko version used in KM, as found in

Quoteguenterhttp://www.mybrowserinfo.com/ shows also: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:24.0) Gecko/20140105 Firefox/24.0 K-Meleon/24.6.0 GMX is one of the pages that naggs me with "update to the newest version of Firefox". I had to add an exception to BluHell Firewall, a popup blocker, on the logout page. Funny thing is that I get such messages only extremely rarely - with native

Good idea with the proxy! Learned another possible reason for probs, just hope will not forget it so soon again. And good idea to check the UA again, James! And unless this was copied false, THIS most likely explains the mystery: QuoteKM2005 JamesD: With proxy enabled, whatsmyuseragent shows Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:24.3) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.3 (with UA of FF 24 ESR provided b

In KM1.7 the login page pops up too, with native string. Only in KM1.6 no change, except killing CSS (Allheilwundermittel so often ), that unhides two hidden input fields and login form button - on the entry page itself! If they would work, no idea, have no account. But the whole page is badly twisted in 1.6, with two partly overlapping halfs left and right. This is the view where nothing else

You're right that this is probably not the best subforum, because this is the offtopic part, so hardly anyone ever reading it => far less answers. And I am not even online with KM74 Anyway, just in theory, my first suspicion would be that your browser is by default adding a FF string to your UA string. I'd visit mybrowsersinfo.com to verify if that's the case. If yes, open a

I can only test it with KM1.6 on my online machine, but here it definitely is just a matter of UserAgents again, as so often. Just the server delivering different code to different browser, decided by their sent ID! Funnily in KM1.6 it does work fine with a clean and (in KM1.6) fake "KM74" name! As well as with a fake mobile browser string, or even fake IE7. But not with some olde

Is there an automatic voting function now in improvements section?? testing... Ha YES! Great, kinda cool, love it! Noticed there's none in General. Are there other sections too, extensions and graphics perhaps? And of course, immediately think more choice options would be nice too ;-)

The possiblities are rather endless, depending on what you need exactly? If you didn't say "selectively" I would have recommed to simply hide ALL toolbar lines. But since that's nearly unknown, I'd like to advertise it a bit anyway, it's just too great for photos as background  There is a checkbox in F2 > Toolbars: "Hide toolbars line" Unfort

QuoteJamesDQuotesiriaAbout tabs multi-line, dimly remember it was announced as experimental/for testing? Does it fully work now? It works quite well. I have changed the minimum width from 6 to 36 mm and I can see enough of the tab to determine the site. When my tabs fill one line at 36 each, the next tab shows on a second line. Fantastic! As a 50-tabs-surfer I've been wishing for that

QuoteJamesDQuotesiria James, if you don't mind, I'd like to play with it and add checked button states? I consider it abandoned. You can do anything you wish to it. Thank you And am afraid I got a bit carried away, when finding there are actually 5 different types of networks in Mozilla. Then wanted to make the button toggle the "Last used" type, which turned into a lon

The new version is announced on many software sites now. But most sites claim KM74 would still run on Win2000 (Aside from showing old version screenshots and sounding like it were developed by Firefox) We really could use a few basic details on the news/download/forum pages. Perhaps something like that? (Download KM74....) Much improved display of modern websites. New settings for hid

The mimetypes are in menu Edit > Mimetypes > (Tab) By Type And Help > About plugins has some lists, but personally I'm just a normal user and not familiar with that type stuff. Others can respond better.

QuoteguenterQuotesiriaJames, if you don't mind, I'd like to play with it and add checked button states? RFD. You could create a macro based skin button while You play with it. What in the world means RFD...?? Ah, good thing there's acronymfinder in my search engines list But I have no idea what you mean - this whole kmm that Yogi posted is ALL only about creating a macro butt

For the curious, have found the draft for KM74 Release Notes in the wiki http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/ReleaseNotes74 (The 50MB are unzipped 63, but I understand it's just a draft so far) And I had meanwhile forgotten again some improvements, aside from newer engine and bugfixes, but there really are - quite some goodies here! - better support when title bar is hidden (kmeleo

If only all probs were solved so easily! QuoteguenterIn that location before the bar - the numbers pre-define all buttons in the bar. Inside the bar a button can be defined differently from the rest. That would be new, but perhaps was meanwhile fixed? Last time I tested was when building classiria skin, that's been a "little" while, and it was definitely not possible to get

Have started translating the wiki download page, and suprised again to find "ghost" edits without history In the news chapter again. The prob is, translators tend to overlook it that way, and if someone messes it, intentionally or by accident, the previous version can't be restored, only the pre-previous...

IMO correct syntaxwise. Of course the exact names of command and bmp are flexible, and I don't know which macro that PBProxyTog belongs to or which shall be used instead.

Thanks for moving One little misunderstanding is clear: the width (52) is always meant for 1 button, not all three. The sum of all buttons is not given and flexible, that's the system. My prob is, I have nothing to examine: no kmm, no bmp, no toolbars.cfg... Could you attach here? Do you perhaps have other proxy extensions installed except native and this one, that could get in the

QuoteYogiThanks to Dorian, all the contributors and all of you who didn't gave up the hope! Welcome back, Yogi, great to have you in the boat again! As for those who didn't give up hope, I'm afraid that were about zero people Those proxy things are quite complicated macrowise, a bit too high for me, except building a basic button, that I've done before. But probably turn

QuoteJamesDI think my e-mail to you of two weeks ago did not make it all the way to you. I may have gotten a new ISP since we last exchanged e-mails. Probably not your ISP. Several mails of mine some time ago were lost too but without changing any services. Overzealous spam filter or who knows what filter.

The macros "places" and "tux-helper" are listed as "user-defined" in F2/macros And finally took a closer look again at native favorites on my KM74 offline notebook. Took so long due to first spending endless time again struggling with my own faves macro (how to get the ori link name, and then how to get workarounds for transferring the JS-var back into macro-var i

Thanks George! Something else: if anyone is bored and has a modern machine with cool looks: the screenshots-page (<== menu bar left) could use a few new KM74 screenshots Please include also one that shows that the skin background can easily be changed with user photos etc. Then again - that photo shot I could do myself, have a nice sunset, and for variety demonstration with classiria sk

More nitpicking, sorry ;-) Somehow I think it was mentioned, but the english readme-page (Help>Welcome) does not work, until the language was first toggled to another one and back again. Otherwise the pref general.useragent.locale is not existent and the command does nothing. Weird: getpref() returns some "chrome://global...." URL for this locale if it doesn't exist :O And

QuoteguenterBetter late than never. Mozilla esr 24 is at 24.8.1 maybe K-Meleon will be updated also? Speaking of gecko, the platform.ini says KM74 uses 24.7, while the UA says it's 24.0?

Oh... just notice, KM74 has the tab history working again *without* needing the menu extra defined on the button! The tooltip doesn't mention that though, only says "Go back/forward one page"
