Don't have win7/64, so can't tell much. The only instances that I can remember where people had trouble with messed titles, were in some earlier KM1.6/1.7 development versions, and there it could be fixed by exchanging the bookmarks.dll with the version from KM1.5.4 Not sure anymore, but guess that had to do with how the source of that dll was compiled, which VS/VisualC/vcredist-version

Just tried it and tested a little... Supposing you can't or don't want to simply use the mouse? In that case you can alternatively use the cursor keys to select an a-e-o folder, then arrow to the right will open that folder. Another alternative is to first type e, which opens the editor, and there you can use a-e-o again to jump to folders/bookmarks directly. That's just one sing

Or lets say, on that wiki list are about 10% of the macros. More can be found on kmext, geckozone or the forum here

QuotexpsWhat scenarios would you use it for? Suppose you are opening a lot of links but probably won't bookmark them you can save a snapshot of the open windows and tabs and then come back whenever you need to? Yep, that's exactly how I use it, and I do that a LOT  Just to reduce confusion, that doesn't store the page *contents*, only a list of the currently open URLs. Impo

There are already certain functions included... Please described a bit more in detail what you mean exactly. For example if you highlight some text, you can already click on the search globe to search for that text in google, or you can click the go-button to go to the highlighted web adress if it is one, or you can right-click on selected text and look at the options in the menu... Or to get a

Have seen it only now, so perhaps you know already a solution, or never notice this reply anymore... Anyway, here's something that seems to help at least on your example page * a, a, a * { color: blue !important; } * a:visited, a:visited * { color: maroon !important; } * a:hover, a:hover * { background-color: #505050 !important; color: beige !important;} * a:active, a:active * { bac

They stay open for about 5 seconds for me. Win98, KM 1.6beta Haven't tried yet with KM154. Perhaps it's javascript related, some 'modern' timing command that needs the newer engine in KM1.6? (@KM folks: I'd support a forum section "Troubleshooting", so that not tons of little questions wrongly land in "Bugs" :cool

Just my impression, but to me it looks very much like nearly all askers on the last pages would rather think "K-Mellwhat??" And many tips are all there long since multiple times in this thread, but they don't even bother to read a bit of the already existing replies. No they just hit the first hit in google and don't care at all where they land, or perhaps some even think that

3796. Re: e-mail
On which windows version...? By the way, if anyone knows how to get this working in 98se I'd like to know too  Guess I've played too much with it (and IE stuff) over the years and somehow broke that function, it's been a long time already. Not sure it can be restored at all.

Doesn't happen on my 98se here. Can you give an example site? It could be server related... Have you tried the same download with other browsers? Have you tried right-clicking that "icon" and opening/editing in notepad to read its contents?

Good find I don't know much about "bookmarks", just remember there was a really old thread that said that the number was limited :-/ No idea if that's still the case. Just a little general tip for changing prefs.js: Almost all that stuff can also be toggled 'live', by going to the page about:config. The effect is the same, this changes automatically the prefs.js

Quotevasa1The result is that I have black text on a brownish background. (A White background hurts my eyes.) With the 1.6 beta, I find that if I click to open a link in the current (active) tab, the screen turns white (for a variable time) before my userContent.css has effect. If I remember correctly, this didn't happen with 1.5.4 Uah, I understand about eye probs, but your settings are r

Am not quite sure anymore, but guess on newer OS there's a real "installation" required for the vcredist. Unlike win98 which works already with just the dll's lying in the folder

Actually I've never gotten to see a page complaining about an "outdated OS" so far, too odd! That's the first time now, when reluctantly switching for a testing moment to "all new yahoo mail". One reason for this may be because I prefer clear, clean, old-fashioned page versions anyway, if I have a choice, like yahoo "classic" Don't need all that g

I was wondering whether it would take perhaps 2 weeks or perhaps 2 months until someone could fix the old kplugin for KM 1.6 - and it took just 2-3 hours... WHOW! What a timing ;-) So in case someone hasn't noticed yet, Mark fixed the dll himself There's only a harmless little bug yet, but for now it's really usable: --> http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?3,112322,1

QuoteKleon Are you using the K-Meleon loader? You could try disabling the loader before you make any changes or additions to the toolbars, as it always loads the previous configuration. Not sure if that sounds a bit misleading... If the loader is running, it makes that the browser isn't closed completely, as long as the loader isn't closed too. That's to keep some core portions

Uah... it's bothersome, but not THAT bothersome ;-) Closing that one page is enough, and then restoring it with "Undo Last Closed" (in view menu? or sessions menu? or in tab context menu by right-click? Not sure where I added it to my own profile) Alternatively press Ctrl and scroll the mousewheel in the other direction, until you like the zoom again.

Hmm, took a look on kmext, and there are two macros for this. The second (non-XUL) has that path in the beginning of the kmm-file, so that looks as if you can customize it if you like... I'd just try and see ;-) (open and edit the kmm with notepad, but make sure to copy that line first and put a comment # sign at the original, to keep it as backup)

Yep, and make sure that value is "3". Same result also by clicking on Edit > Preferences (F2) > Browsing > Window diversion (right side, see disrupted's first screenshot) > click little arrow next to "Links meant to open a new window" > "click URLs passed from external applications" > check "new tab" That is exactly the

So far I haven't noticed any difference iconcache-wise between KM15 and 16, but neither have done any new experimenting ;-) What I did notice sometime last year, when struggling endlessly and without success with my customize-favicon-macro, is that tabs with "page load error" have a strong tendency to wrongly assign icons of neighbor tabs. Even when force-reloading (single or all t

Just double-checked which pref is responsible for opening favorites that are clicked in a file explorer window. It's definitely the one from disrupteds screenshot ("URLs passed from external applications"), and on my machine it works instantly, no restart needed. (KM16b2)
