It's great that macrolanguage gets actively developed and extended again, now generation3 A bunch of those newly added macro functions is listed for KM75 here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/changelog.txt and here http://kmeleonbrowser.org/wiki/index.php?id=MacroLanguage2 But am a bit lost how they work exactly... learning slowly, bit by bit as needed... Yesterday finally got around to

QuoteSlickone When I installed this, it wanted to overwrite omni.ja with a version that was half the size. Should I? No... not if it means overwrite and lose the old one completely  I'd be extremely careful with such important core-parts of the browser. But it's easy, just make a BACKUP copy of the original first, afterwards you can experiment freely without any worries.

Oops... my fault, sorry!! I do test my macros a lot before posting, but looks like after fiddling all the time and testing all the time had now forgotten to test the tiny last-minute change too! One little glitch in the kmm and the toolbar was broken. ==> Please download again, v2.1 is fixed. PS the 3 pics from version-1 can be deleted, those without a size number after the name. Than

Perhaps in macro-class. But instead you and others are in College class for this way more complicated ADDON stuff and system stuff and all that other computer science stuff, which is far beyond my own limited talents, being only able to handle this simplified macrolanguage Still find it too funny, but great we have such a diverse knowledge pool! Regarding this macro, am already working on an

Bad news... Makes me finally realize now, after having struggled a lot yesterday with new TEXT toolbars, or rather reminded me again that the old and new PrivBar are build completely different! The old skins have PrivBars that consist of painted pics ONLY, while the new 75 privbar buttons show real TEXT plus a little icon. Now your macro tries to insert a new picture button into a text toolbar -

Bug in text-toolbars? Added a little bar via toolbars.cfg, the button names starting with "!" to get a text toolbar. But it's way too long: KM calculates the toolbar length always with additional space for a 32px icon after each button. Struggled extremely long with that now, lots of trial+error tests, but no chance. When adding *narrow* icons to the buttons, the actually become

Oops - the not-so great master had the skin pics in the wrong 7z-folder, in "skins" not "skins/default"! Experienced users probably noticed, others please re-download. Have exchanged it in first post. Thank you rodocop! QuotemisterpRight now, http://www.google.com/finance causes the problem with the Ally Bank ad. Cannot help testing much, since my online machines is only Win98 with KM1.6. And understand there may be a bug that needs fixing, although some workaround might help a bit too. But anyway, just for curiosity wanted to take a look - and found this configuration shows a really beautifully simple pa

Okay, finally created this toolbar macro "priv3buttons": http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,135558 Wanted to do something like that for several years already  It's still using the old toolbar system, that means fully "painted" buttons, but if it's too much you can just use parts of it. For example replace the native commands on the privBar cook

This allows triple-toggles on some privacy & bandwidth-buttons: All blocked (red) / Site allowed (green-red) / All allowed (green) By default this macro creates an own toolbar "Priv3", but you can edit the kmm-file with a Notepad to customize everything: buttons in 3 sizes, or show less buttons, or more if you create them yourself (by copying another), or re-order them.

Hmm... the triple-toggle itself would be no prob, rather how to display it, or rather... takes some work  Actually am using a 1-2-3 toggle on my Block-Objects button since a few years, but didn't change the button display, so 1+3 look the same. Thinking about it, the little pop-menus I used lately for the permdefs macro are very handy, really like it: a left-click on a menu OR a b

Personally I much prefer to have history, bookmarks and favicons stored in different files. Not all tossed together into 1 single, big heap file like FF now does, one more reason to dislike it. The IE favorites are a completely different system anyway: every single entry consists of one independant little link file. That means they are stored in hundreds of thousands little files, not in 1 hu

Thanks!! YES it FINALLY works now too here, with the new manifest! After comparing the version, it looks like the problem was just the non-matching locales-lines inside it with the locales-folders: Old version did have a locales/de folder, but no locales-de manifest line... Ah no, nonsense, after more tests the fix was the move of the plugin from browser/extensions/...xpi/plugins to browse

Finally installed it, together with KM75.1 on Vista. But sigh - still no clue how to get that complicated extension stuff working Although about:addons says it's "enabled", redirecting a simple, local html-file to Trident just shows a BLACK page. Surely just some setting somewhere, manifest or whatever, but no idea how... And no clue either how to open an IE-tab *before* drop

@guenter, regarding flash.kmm There's a comma too much near the end of line-35 (the addbutton line), marked in red here, should be deleted. Haven't tested myself yet though: ....Flash.bmp[0],",""); If it helps, then the old toolbar-plugin is just more forgiving. That said, I usually just crop that whole mysterious suffix after the last image number. It is correct

Am in a hurry at the moment, so just a quick note: What happens when you drag-drop into a normal KM tab? The key question is whether it would trigger $OnLoad or not, because then we could use it for an automatic redirect. Otherwise we could still create a menu entry in File>Open MHT file

Okay, since I do remember Dorian explained it, finally did a forum search what he posted about new favicon system: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?8,135103,135173#msg-135173 QuoteDorian Aug-31QuoteSlickone After my update, all my favicons (for the ones that ever showed up) are gone. Any way to prevent that next time? Also I know it's been discussed before, but most pages/bookm

Glad it works now! Frankly to my own surprise - even without any dialog for dragdropping mht now?! WOW... a mystery to me how KM now knows to send it automatically to IE, and why changing the kmm fixed it, considering it contains no OnLoad-commands... But sorry the kmm-code itself is now even messier than before, ouch ouch ouch... (who wrote that?! You not I know, just copied) For this

Just read via google-translate the other thread, that explains something about opening mht-files by first typing "file://" and then navigating to the mht then right-clicking and sendTo? Hmm, sounds awfully complicated to me, wondered if we couldn't make that at least a bit easier... Now checked ietab.kmm, and as suspected it's just a matter of passing on the URL = easy

No clue about icons, except that Dorian mentioned they must be enabled in F2>Cache But the rest sounds like one of those evil stunts Vista would play on me... What happens if you do NOT rename any folders, instead just unzip new ones to a name that includes their version, like K-Meleon75.1? Or what if you create a NEW profile in the new KM version, and then copy over only the CONTENTS of

Great, looks like you're getting the hang of it But if some priv-buttons are not red/green, that is intentionally, because those buttons have no allow/block setting! Like the UserAgent, the "Clear" buttons and the "Kill" buttons. A little misunderstanding? For a Reload-All-Tabs button (in current window), use command "macros(_Reload_ReloadAll)", and I thi

The prob is that all buttons inside one toolbar must have the same width. That is a fix width for "image buttons", but for "text buttons" like PrivBar it depends from their names. So what helps is to shorten the names of the longest ones. Click Edit>Configuration>Toolbars and search for "privacy". Example: !Clear Cache{ !C.Cache{ privacy(ClearCache)|&

There's a native gecko pref for this setting and some other of the sort. No log, sorry. Try macro "permdefs" and for site exceptions the extension "ExExPermissions", they give you a menu for those "permission" prefs (both are here in extensions subforum). And for people who want to toggle multiple of those prefs at once the Blockeria-macro might be handy

Welcome to KM No additional macro is needed for this one, it exists already. All commands that exist in a menu somewhere and/or have a shortcut are ready to be used on buttons as they are. An almost complete list can be found in commands.html. And also all existing menus can be used on buttons. Have you already noticed that the Clear button has the Clear-Menu on right-click, with several opt

Ouch... looks like a fundamental misunderstanding of the "menugrayed" function ;-) It has no use in any BuildMenu modules! Instead it belongs into single macros (e.g. _Adblockplugin_clear_rules). And in MENUs rebuilding of any sort is not necessary for graying or ungraying. The menugrayed-line in the single macros works fully automatic, exactly like the checkmarks. My guess: per

Only noticed that too because both lines inside the buildmenu-module were disabled as comments. The old Scite-Editor for kmm's has very obvious syntax-highlighting for comments

In general yes, but the lines inside my places_BuildMenu in 75.1 are disabled anyway, because it's build via menus.cfg, so doesn't matter in this special case. Considering that the shortcut is also defined double in accels.cfg, it would probably be less confusing for users to disable that one too out-of-box.

No it has nothing to do with write-protection or anything. The "secure" in the name is quite misleading, no idea why it was named such. The difference is simply that one uses the program you defined for your system as the "open" command, and the other what you defined as "edit" command for that filetype. For most filetypes exists only an "open" command a
