I cannot agree on the favicon issue. Must be that I am old and sort of set in my ways. I learned to read over a half century ago and am still pretty good at it. However pictures to represent things and actions just don't work for me. It does not matter if they are favicons in software or the open/close doors buttons in elevators, or highway signs. Better we stay lean and fast.

I am not sure if I understand your question. If you need a "full screen view", that is available under the view menu. That gives you the entire screen for the browser window. To return to normal view use right click and full screen again. If this is not what you need, please give more information.

I have noticed the same problem with start maximized. My fix was to drag the corner of non-maximized window to almost fill the screen and then exit. Alpha 1 does remember the size of a non-maximized window and will start at that size. I am only a few pixels away from maximized when I start.

@ myopc Use EDIT PREFRENCES GENERAL and on that page you will find checkbox for remember passwords. Check or un-check as you desire. Then click OK. The change will appear the advanced preferences menu. It will still be grayed out, but the checkmark will or won't be there depending on your choice.

I have looked at both MIME editors in 1.5a1 and the one in prefrences shows a long list of types. I don't see any types listed at all in the one under edit. Is this correct? Seems like from looking at the listing that most types will be assigned to the software most recently installed or updated. I just updated from Quicktime 7.2 to 7.3 and almost everything is now assiged to Quicktime

@ dabiank I think that may be controlled by the code the web site presents. In my surfing I have found that some links open in the same window and others will start a new window. If you will give us the site that is doing the new window for you maybe I can tell by looking at their source code.

Could you explain in more detail just what you need KM to do for a quick search. I don't understand the reference to nicknames. Perhaps that is because I use Favorites and not bookmarks. Sometimes macros can be written to include a function not found in the basic install.

On my install of 1.1.2 the addblock.css is located in C:\Program Files\k-meleon\Profiles\default\ae3wngxv.slt\chrome. On my install of 1.5a1 it is not there. Remember, this is alpha code so maybe it will be there later.

It is not just a 1.5 problem. I have had trouble like Charlie describes but also on 1.1.2 version. My problem seems always to be with sourceforge. To get to this thread I had to hit reload twice. The first time I got just one puff from my little green friend and nothing else happend. The second time I got the little fella working hard and the page loaded.
