Yes, the toolbars.cfg in root\browser\defaults\settings is paired with skin.cfg in the Default skin. All skins need both, a skin.cfg and a toolbars.cfg, unless you reuse the default toolbars.cfg. But skin.cfg must be unique for every skin, at least, so it uses the images of its skin directory. @Siria, that wasn't made with an editor, but with an image editor to make the image and it wa

QuoteJamesD Has anyone converted a skin to the new system. I have been trying but seem to have a problem. I suspect that I have a few too many or less of the "[ ]" or "{ }" symbols in my cfg file. If someone could point out my error, I would be greatfull. https://copy.com/9SJ3OwA0AVyDqBhx Yes, you have some lost ], if I'm not wrong. I'll create a tre

QuoteDorian @JohnHell: forgot to ask, does transparency work with menu icons? Yes... BUT if I don't have a skin.cfg file in the skin folder yet OR skin.cfg can't be parsed correctly (comma errors for example), that it fallbacks to menuicons.cfg. Or, in other words, using the old skin without any customization. Once skin.cfg found (and correctly parsed) equals black backgrounds for

QuoteDorian QuoteJohnHell In K-meleon 74 worked for BMPs+alpha and BMPs+magenta, so my guess is that maybe something got broken in K-meleon 75b1. I didn't break it. In fact, it should work better. Add kmeleon.display.toolbars_alt and set it to true. Tell me if anything change. No change with kmeleon.display.toolbars_alt type boolean set to true. I'd blame the kernel dll wrappe

Well, afternoon lost understanding how skin.cfg and toolbar.cfg works as well as the default size, night lost testing icons and... ...no way, in Windows 2000, BMPs+alpha = black background, PNGs = black background, BMPs+magenta = black background In K-meleon 74 worked for BMPs+alpha and BMPs+magenta, so my guess is that maybe something got broken in K-meleon 75b1. I hope you can fix

Ok. Missed, yes. Or I didn't, but I thought it was in relation to the skin.cfg default size. So, in my example, the 64 x 64 defaults the size of the icons without further settings, unless icons are set like: { "name":"toolcold1.png", "width":6, "height":6 } ...but anyway or other, they are stretched or not, in relation to

I think I still don't understand the size limit. For example, why the following can't create tools of height 64 and 64x64 icons: { "version":1, "width":64, "height":64, "lists": [ { "images": [ "toolcold.png" ], "commands": [ "ID_NAV_BACK", "ID_NAV_FORWARD",

I found a drawback with the pref I said in the last page. I found a little problem with that block. The buttons that open to browse a local file now are commanded by an onclick almost on any site and you have to toggle the popup blocker because with that string the preference block the click event and the system explorer "popup" window :/ If implemented as I suggested, people must

But the popup is not related to this, just to clear it. Is just something annoying I was having this long afternoon browsing and I'm suffering since long time ago, to be fair. And today I said, no more. A quick search gave that pref, I tested and I told to the thread to implement by Dorian, if possible. But I found a little problem with that block. The buttons that open to browse a loc

I remember in some 1.6 beta version from JamesD that the locker secure icon changed and I had to use resource hacker to change it back. Now, from K-meleon 74 to K-meleon 75, happened again. And it is not inside k-meleon.exe. Where is it taking it from now? :-? You are guessing correctly, I don't like that icon, I prefer the old one

Dorian, can you default this pref and add it to main.kmm popup toogle macro? Note: I'm not actively testing 75b1 yet, because of the injectJS problem and I use it quite often (I hope it can be achieved ) but the following is applicable to 75b1 as well as 74. So... Today I got sick of event javascript popups and I had a look to preferences and this one is the culprit of it: dom.popup

QuoteJamesD QuoteJohnHell It is a threat as functions already loaded can be called and executed with the remaining active script calls after javascript disabled: the event calls. So, you can run code without knowledge of user, simple as catching mouse movements. Yes, you can reload with javascript disabled, but that "doesn't fix" the problem. If one was to clear the cach

I assume that the bug is inherited from Firefox which acts t

That, sadly, this will only happen to US users... by default, and by default means that anyone can still switch to Google, and also that Google is over a 90% of usage in EU, therefore the deal is not too much for Mozilla, but is true that they will have less money. In US they have about 75% of share. Anyway, nowadays, whatever that removes portions of power gave to Google, is great! Stats f

If we think about it, it saves resources... for the webmaster, for the server, of course. In my opinion is easier to have a mobile version of your website, ever. There is no need to change anything, just a "copy" (with DB calls there isn't waste of real space) with another CSS... but... I'm going to end not caring at all about this, but my nerves are going to explode som

You may be remember me saying that javascript was still working in some sites after disabling javascript, and it was so annoying. The other day I spent a little of time because I had a suspect and I found that this happens when the site creates even listeners (and it is getting popular as more dynamic pages are comming). Even listeners are javascript commands attached to elements "on t

QuoteYogi Hmmm, after more tests it seems that anonymouse.org isn't happy about my new search string for Google. They asked me to fill a captcha before continuing. - Shit- I said, try, not use. Proxies, even web based as that, filter to X number of queries. Further testings. Use this: https://www.google.com/search?prefdom=US&q= EDIT 2:That, and session cookies enable

Not that I'm aware of, beyond a proxy, as the base for it is more on their IP databases than on language. Try, for example, anonoymouse, and you'll see: http://anonymouse.org/cgi-bin/anon-www_de.cgi/http://www.google.com This was for @guenter: You can put, as I did, ja (japanese) and you will se .de but in japanese. Nothing else.

And we thought GMX.com was dumb for this behavior... My mobile operator updated the website and now... requires at least 1200 px of width for the viewport/screen to consider you as a desktop user!!! WTF!!! I hate mobiles trend. I hate responsive web (aka CSS based on viewport).

I don't know, but I ever matched history, even in Seamonkey where I never tweaked anything like this. If fact, you are right this is available in Firefox, and came in K-meleon 74, that is what forced me to change the behavior, because was matching everything I didn't want except history. In K-meleon 1.6 the option in preferences is the same: imag And after test, even in K-me

Removed? Was even sometime there? You have, in "Finding Websites" section of preferences window to search in history when typing, but not for bookmarks. I can't remember that. Also, don't take my advice/answer as the correct, as I tend to do these things the hard way through about:config I had to search that exact preference because in K-meleon 74, due to GRE 24, the

Looks like I didn't post the actual answer even I remember I posted to Zere3k or someone else... Anyway: browser.urlbar.matchBehavior browser.urlbar.default.behavior Those prefs control how it is matched (1) and what it is matched (2). For example I have 3 and 17(1+16), this is beginning and history.

You made me test. Looks that now isn't as "the old way", only changing body and text colors. Now changes the background of everything when set browser.display.use_document_colors to false. Thanks for that Siria. What I posted above now hasn't much sense. It was based in my previous experience. I had a macro for almost the same result from years ago xDD All images

Just to clear it. With the prefs you aren't missing anything. It just change the body background to your color. And that won't work ever as the body now is just the wall where to paint a website too. Lots of sites place a div element for the full height and div covering the whole boddy and the color you set won't do much. usercontent.css is the only way and, as Siria has s

That doesn't happen to me in 74gre24. The swf object is only loaded once you click in the arrow. I sniffed with httpmonitor to be sure. And in sites like youtube, the video doesn't download anything of the video until I click the flash block arrow replacement too.
