The fact is that the moment comes when every KM begins to show wrong favicons. The solution is to set (in about:config) kmeleon.favicons.cached to false and then delete iconcache.dat file in your working profile folder. This tweak will be present in the next version of my build, CommMeleon

beta only means this one isn't 'officially released'. But none KM-version now could be 'released' unless the community decides. And sure, all betas are good-working builds. I think old versions couldn't boast of being really lighter but the OS can be point of choice - old Win98 cannot work with newer KMs without modern unofficial updates, including kernelex.

One remarkable thing about KM is that if you open about 20 tabs there and it eats up about 150-200Mb of RAM, than try to leave it intact for some time - you'll see that RAM consumption decreases significantly!
