I had a look to the xul main window of each extension: Console2 : <window xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul" id="Console2Window" title="&console.title;" windowtype="global:console" width="640" height="480" persist="width height screenX screenY sizemode zleve

Well, I'll have look for console2.xul, but i think that rvjmimeedit has also size hardcoded, and also quicknote. I'll verify ... For tabs, its not possible to resize, and the first window is extended to the tab size, after, next opened window (for mimetype creation) isn't maximized. A+

I have tried your solution with injectJS() but I failed. Here is what I have put in the kmm (it's about mtypes editor, but same problem). Where do I miss ? I have tried with resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight) and with values # K-Meleon Macros (http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?id=MacroLanguage) # ---------- rvjmimeedit Extension (MIME Type Editor) -------

I prefer to put it in a separate folder, as I give the source with the tool, to allow someone who wants to modify or improve it to do it. I remember, there is a long time, I created a subfolder of Kmroot named Tools and not kmtools. But in fact, as I said the folder is not important, only the good path in mimetypes.rdf is important. A+

ok, perhaps, I don't remember ... I'm modifying it to allow to choose the way iy opens new tab and new windows (new tab by default) For mtypes, it doesn't works as tested by guenter, the content of mimetypes isn't kept and presented in the box. But it's possible to add a new type, and its a good thing. We can now add with mtypes, and modify or delete with kmpr

Just a little error in the folder page, kmtools isn't located under the profile, but under Program Files For now, I located it in c:\Program Files, but I think it's better, when using E: for K-Meleon, to install kmtools also under E:\Program Files The only change will be the content of mimetypes.rdf which must be updated to replace C:\ with E:\ A+

Siria, ok, changing : $ExecMacros="OpenURL_InNewWindow"; &ExecMacros_Frames; by $ExecMacros="OpenURL_InNew"; &ExecMacros_Frames; opens in a new tab, instead of a new window, but the way to open in a new window is also nice when the size of the window is set as asked in the xul file. Under Firefox, it works ok in a small window, and I remember that it wa

Quotegordon451Do you do portable installs under Wine? It must be possible. I don't try it, but I think it's not possible like it's intended not to write to disk. For a simple reason: Linux only run programs, or script which have 'execution right' set (chmod +x), and USB sticks are formated using FAT32 to allow to use it on all the systems, as Microsoft don't wa

Well, I finally make it work using kmeleon.install_firefox_extension pref. I put {C0CB8BA3-6C1B-47e8-A6AB-1FAB889562D9}.xpi in kmroot\browser\extensions folder I set the prefs, and remove the pref xpinstall.enabled (perhaps it's used in another way of xpi install) Quicknote opens ok and works, but some features don't work as it worked with previous K-Meleon versions. 1) it'

QuoteGordon451/home/opt/Program Files/K-Meleon/ No, if you have a better look of the files, home is just at the same level as opt By default : /home/alain/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/K-Meleon/k-meleon.exe is equal to c\Program Files\K-Meleon\k-meleon.exe and, with the way I use to install: /opt/Program Files/K-Meleon\k-meleon.exe is equal to e:\Program Files\K-Meleon\k-meleon.e

I don't know exactly why, but wine installs the drive C:\ under the user folder. That's a fact. When you run a setup, the default path is often C:\Program Files (make abstract of W7 and W8, where the folder is different, but the philosophy is equal) So, this is here that a windows program will be installed, by default. The big problem is that this program can't be use by anot

Yes, it's really a pain when throbber changes of line ... I finally set it manually ,and make a skin.js that I put in all the skins folders. I put it here. You can replace the one in you skin folder, and adapt it to your need. I think it's also necessary also to remove all the lines concerning the skin (kmeleon.toolband...) in prefs.js. Do it k-meleon not running. A+

These problems are listed here, and for each, I give the way to remove it : Extension or wine version. 1) Running K-meleon on a wine version under 1.6 fails => Install of the needed dlls to upgrade a 1.4 wine version to 1.6. Have a look to this thread 2) mailto links aren't working => tuxhelper is now included in K-Meleon 74.0 setup. Just use right-click instead of left-click
