@Yogi, I don't see that degradation. First of all, that BMP alpha channel is fully black, therefore, "all" should be transparent and it isn't. In other words, the alpha channel in that file is doing nothing. Said different, for the grey around each icon, there isn't a grey equivalent in the alpha channel, so it hasn't half transparency. So I went the easy wa

Quoteadodupan Test mp4 file Does anyone have any idea what's going on here? I don't know, but happens on more sites. With HTML5 video and flash sites. If you don't let load the object first, it won't play. Another example is the IMDB trailers, and that is flash, not HTML5. Not option even. Or maybe javascript api controlling flash.... Dorian sure knows.

But, did you add the magenta, because it isn't transparent. And, also, this image is a little tricky as it has 2 or more colors to make transparent. Look at this zoomed image. There are various greys to remove: This should be the result (zoom it to see the difference): (note: I used magic wand and photoshop, but could be make in irfanvew in serveral steps (as PNG is lossles

Mmmmm, is it me or BMPs+magenta become greenish with IrfanView convert? :-? Might be that greys are converted to alpha too... Curious.

@JamesD, I already was going to recommend yesterday, as Siria's said, IrfanView. The batch convert to PNG selecting a transparent color for every image is a child's game. I just did now with the Aura that comes with K-meleon 74 that has both BMPs, with magenta and alpha. No pain at all to do. Not need to convert to GIF or other deep tasks. Here are the results: hosting

QuoteJamesD QuoteYogi As for reversing a magic pink .bmp into a transparent .png, it could become a cumbersome task for some images. Suddenly, I get the feeling that there is something I should know, but I don't. Does magic pink work in a PNG or do I need to convert that to alpha channel? AFAIK, the magenta gives transparency ONLY to BMP files. I guess this started because the l

Today I made a step back, as I couldn't install the OCX for IE when they switched to 15.x in Windows 2000. So, the latest ESR (Extended Support Release): NPSWF32_13_0_0_252.7z

Type about:config in the url bar, press enter. In the search field at the top of the presented window, type smooth. It will filter smooth related browser preferences. In K-meleon 74, aren't only 2 but a few more: You'll need to search at kb.mozillazine.com and other sites the exact meaning of them to know what to touch. I know it isn't the answer you were searching

1.6 works without any magic, except for flash requirements. I don't have installed the Rollup (shit by MS), but what K-meleon 74 needs are kernel extenders, not the latest Rollup Hotfix, believe me. You maybe have installed the kernel extenders, sometimes called rollup by guys like BlackWingCat, but his releases aren't the actual Rollup by Microsoft. I'll go beyond, VC++10

QuoteDorian QuoteJohnHell But also have a look to icons.cfg again and you'll see that for some icons there are various commands per line (for home and bookmarks) between "[ ]". Now that I look at it I can agree that it lacks readability if you're not used to it. I don't like XML and it's cumbersome to use but maybe this could be better. I'm with JamesD, XM

QuoteJamesD It appears that each column of buttons is identified by the "command" assigned to it in icons.cfg. The command is then matched to "action" in the file toolbars.cfg. What we would lose is the ability to use a button for anything other than its intended command or action. In the case of Klassic skin the tool.bmp[7] is reused for bookmarks(Edit), favorites(Edit),

Isn't redundant the size definitions in the icons.cfg (what I guess is the equivalent of menuicons.cfg)? Where/How in toolbars.cfg will be called to the image used? With a new "images":[{}] section? @JamesD, I guess is for a new K-meleon.exe file as I don't expect the current to parse it. P.S.: json, finally face to face

Quotesiria Crazy! So I take this as confirmation, KM supports transparent macro-buttons on old systems (win98+win2000), but newer systems fail, incl. win7! And it probably depends on the windows theme :O Your multi-system test may very well be a key to solving that mystery. Just for curiosity: What does your virtual win7 do with a multicolor-transparency button like those on Auras mainbarDEAD

Weird, in Windows 2000 it is transparent, in XP SP2 (virtual machine) it's black  I'll blame XP SP2 as it is a virtual machine and might not be playing fair, but RGBA BMPs in the toolbars work when aren't build with a macro. EDIT: He, in Windows 7 (virtual machine) is white (custom theme involved, I guess)

I can't test as I can't create a toolbar :-? even using the JamesD code in the first page (because I didn't trust in my own try). No way. But... this helped to find and amazingly stupid bug with the toolbars and the K-meleon 74 window: kmeleonmovewindowbug.7z Click and hold in the empty space left by a toolbar (can be even in the tiny space between 2 toolbars) at its right

Quotesiria @John, ah that could very well be the reason too of course! This awful RGBA/ARGB prob, have come across it in other tools already. Not sure what you mean with "documentation"? A wiki or something? It sure is there described in detail, but if you only want to change something, look in menu Edit>Config>Toolbars and MenuIcons. I thought you were talking about creating

Usually RGBA BMPs aren't well understood, even for Windows, so not a big thing to worry. Probably not loading in-time makes it to display without transparency :-? I understood you Siria, because RGBA BMPs, is also forgotten by image viewers. Is not very well known. Even Photoshop CS (CS 1) doesn't understand the background and makes it black, totally different as it does with APNG, e

What size are we talking about? I use a custom skin (the Netscape one with a few modifications). For all custom toolbars I have/made, I created icons in 16x16. As some of this icons are taken from others maybe I have to remake them. My own were made with a vector program, so won't be a big deal. Do you plan smaller than 16x16?, bigger? Anyway, I'm not fan of bigger icons...

I tested before reply because I wasn't sure after your post, but yeah, only the default is changed. In other words, only the default is changed, so when you choose the default it depends in the compat pref.

In the end, he wasn't asking about Firefox extensions but macros. It was a misconception between extensions and add-ons as we call extensions to macros. Anyway, the translation could be for: ¿como se instalan las extensiones de Firefox en K-meleon? = How to install Firefox extensions/add-ons in K-meleon? OR (what he was actually asking) ¿cómo se instalan las extensiones de mac

The compatmode only replaces the default with the default+plus firefox. If you are using another UA, compatmode is not enabled and/or the UA is not changed then. Only if it is the default.

Yes, the PK header is telling you is a zip compressed file, but it's true that the file structure is at the beginning instead at the end, as guenter already said. In a "normal" zi
