In the KM74 thread, I don't know in which one exactly, it's said that doesn't work. But for me, worked at the first time without any troubles . Maybe all here with problems should show the preferences related (about:config) to put all them together and find where is the problem. My setting were carried from 1.6b2.4 to 74bx and working.

There are 2 more updates to beta 3 in the thread. But as the test, still have such problem. Should be edited the first post of this thread to avoid confusions adding the new updates. From a JamesD post: Beta 3: http://kmeleon.sf.net/files/K-Meleon74.0Beta3.exe (at the beginning of the thread) Update one: http://kmeleon.sf.net/files/K-Meleon74.0Beta3up1.7z Update two: http://

LOL, changes, changes and changes. Finally I started doing things with another virtual machine and tested on XP SP2. It happens the same behavior as in Windows 2000. It's strange it doesn't happen to you the same. Also a file is created in the K-meleon Root without extension with the letter of the drive where it should load the boorkmarks from. The file is empty.

Quoteguenter p.s. JohnHell You bet me. But I could not find anthing in my user.js that reset the path to offer first %APPDATA% folder or anything. Mmm, right now, if others can test (CAUTION make boorkmarks backup first as it is quite frustrating to test) I won't to on an XP SP2 virtual machine, yet. My test was on Windows 2000 and could make something strange too I didn't thought on

Congratulations, torbetron, you found a new weird bug!! Looks like, when you change the path, the preference kmeleon.plugins.bookmarks.bookmarkFile is "hardcoded" in user.js file instead prefs.js. In user.js is wrote correctly, with full path, but when is passed to prefs.js, on restart of K-meleon, only the drive, not the full path, is written to kmeleon.plugins.bookmarks.bookmark

Quoteguenter There used to be more moderators. All American and Spanish are gone. Maybe Dorian could chose 2-3 new ones/replacements. JamesD is AFAIK from the US time Zones, JohnHell speaks Spanish and maybe panzer who haunts the OFF Topic Forum. That would make that SPAM is found easier and deleted earlier. You missed today the dev subforum (already reported) and the other day was the bugs

Quoteguenter Hola ravendown - You only need to edit permissions once. You can exclude web pages permanently here.

It is already available. Go to Tools menu > Privacy > Permissions > Javascript > Permissions button There you can set the server you allow or disallow for javascript. But if javascript is disabled globally, even if you set to allow, you won't have javascript enabled. Another note: pay attention to where the javascript script is. Sometimes www.aaa.com is running a java

What Windows version? Because it sounds pretty similar to the problem it has in Windows 2000 I already reported. But that behavior only happened on Windows 2000, not XP or above, until you reported now and therefore it isn't/wasn't a problem of K-meleon itself. Can you check if it does happen in these 2 different ways?: 1.- click on a download link and save where is prompted. 2.

Quoteguenter c-sanchez is on the way translating it. Maybe ask him first where he got stuck at the moment. If he gave a correct mail address we can perhaps contact him by mail. Oh, I didn't know someone was doing it. If he/she requests help, here I'm so. Quoteguenter Possibly he did not understand well that he can mine most Chrome strings from the Spanish FirefoxESR and much of th

You know that from time to time people come to the General subforum asking what the red url bar means in a secured site. I had in mind a macro to show what unsecure elements were causing it and I adapted the ones from list images and and links to this one. I use the old definition macro (used back in K-meleon 0.82), so I post here as a reference to be adapted to the current versions (the fu

QuoteDorian Oh, and i'm still waiting for spanish and russian translation You would consider it bullshit but, being spanish as I I'm, I prefer english version (yes, quite egocentric). Anyway, as I think I must do (no one would), I'll give it a try. How are dlls to be translated?, with Resource Hacker maybe? I'm so sorry, but I never translated K-meleon so I'll

Could be achieved the performance (smoothness actually) of Firefox 24.0 ESR** by K-meleon 74 in this nasa site (and, therefore, similar sites in the future)? https://earthdata.nasa.gov/labs/worldview/ Drag the map around in one and another browser and you'll see what I mean. Probably in powerful system can't be seen the difference. It's a question, not a mandatory feature

It can be already moved. Not deteached from the "window bars zone" but the postition/size can be changed. Check if in the View menu > Toolbars isn't checked the option "Lock Toolbars".

About the console performance issues, I found that all are related to CSS entries. You can have loads of errors of any kind (actually javascript, the others are rare to fire up) and the console doesn't slow down the browser so much and open the console with that bunch of entries doesn't lock K-meleon for a minute or so to show the errors. Once you enable to show CSS errors... there y

QuoteJamesD Since Dorian put it an update with the note that it could increase performance, I decided that I would make use of the pref("consoleservice.enabled"). I often work on macros and for testing them, I seldom need to know of XML or CSS errors. Now, I know that I can turn off their display in the error console, but the service is still running so there is not a performance gain

QuoteDorian QuoteJohnHell If you block cookies no crash of K-meleon. If you enable with warn preferences and accept session cookies, it crashes. I've tried your preferences, and it's working fine for me. Cookie dialog show up correctly. With the example sites? :-? Indeed the "thing" is strange. For example, sites like MediaFire (which I use to post flash dll files

Uhhmmmmm, not only CSS, it doesn't show any errors. This is my error console after visiting sites like YouTube where usually fills the error console: If I have to debug I'll have to replace k-meleon.exe for a while. I found the problem comes from the prefs added to browser\defaults\preferenceskmeleon.js No clue which one Blinded me... The last line: pref("

It happens with Firefox 27 too. Not a K-meleon bug. Looks like a GRE bug. In Opera doesn't happen, I guess the other browser where doesn't happen could be Chrome (as now share the same Webkit engine, even the Opera I'm using still uses Presto).

Thanks for the update In the test, maybe to see if for any reason something has broken (don't ask me why I really did) I went back to filestube.to and d-h.st/v9o (the hosting that Zero3k uses for upload files) and, even if the sites weren't giving problems after your "here.com hack" I found that they came again... Not the here.com. Here.com and any site using heavy javascr

Another new issue with bookmarks.dll plugin I haven't seen yet. When you edit a bookmark the "http:" portion is replaced to some unknown characters. EDIT1: Maybe is because I used the K-meleon 1.6 bookmarks.dll to edit it but now doesn't happen :-? When happened I was editing this url: http://forum.emule-project.net/index.php?showtopic=32709&st=90000 EDIT2: no
