I'm using the Klassic skin with transparent PNG. However, I didn't change the old toolbars.cfg except for renaming BMP to PNG and for setting the new values (16,16) for my custom privacy bar. I'm afraid it's not the kind of answer you have expected but tha's how it works here. As a side note - I see you have magic pink on PNG. AFAIK magic pink doesn't work for t

Quoteguenterkmm in ./macros. Richtig.

Quoteguenter XP 3 75b1 default and custom skin tested. They work but do not switch state. But I have no proxy settings. So I do not really know. Both the Default and the Klassic skin are workink/switching state in Win7. Even the macro I'm talking about works and switches state. Only problem are the pics of the created toolbar. The pic doesn't change when I toggle. Quotegue

Quoteguenter Numbering icons inside pics starts 0, 1, 3... Not 0, 1, 2...? However, I tried it all possible ways. QuoteguenterJames found that the new code needs *.bmp[0], *.png[0] or whatever format to adress single icon pics (bmp, jpg etc.). For the old code this was AFAIR not needed. Mine is a 4x icons pic. You can look at the macro code which I have posted here.

QuoteJamesD I cannot confirm. Steps to reproduce (KM-75b1 Klassic skin): - make sure that under settings, "Display throbber" is unchecked - close KM - restart KM and see if the throbber toolbar gets displayed QuoteJamesDThrobber disappears and appears correctly using the View menu in my KM 75b1. That's correct. By using the view menu in KM 75b1, the throbber will disap

Throbber toolbar can't be deselected in KM-75b1 (Klassic skin). Under settings, "Display throbber" is unchecked but the toolbar still displays. Can please someone confirm the bug?

QuoteDorian JamesD, your macro should work without change. SetButtonImg is probably buggy. Where can I find your original version? That isn't the only macro which doesn't work anymore. The below one works fine in KM-31 but has the image issue in KM-75b1: # K-Meleon Macros (http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?id=MacroLanguage) # ---------- Custom Proxies 2 ------------

Here I am again Help please with image sequence for K-Ext15X_Proxy2 in KM-75b1. Proxy2 extension by desga2 is working in KM-75b1. (Klassic skin/toolbar button 16x16). Only thing I'm too stupid to make work is image changing. It sticks to the same image. I have tried with .bmp and .png as well. I assume I am doing something very stupid and can't find out what it is. In case som

QuotesiriaThat bug may not be "caused" by KM, but it still happens when it is "used" and it's dangerous, so of course I consider it "related". I assume that the bug is inherited from Firefox which acts the same. Probably all Firefox based browsers (maybe Chrome too?) will act the same. Opera Presto doesn't have this bug. Correct me please if I'm

Can't confirm neither with K-Meleon 74_24 nor with K-Meleon 74_31 on Win7. It must be something on your side pausing K-Meleon.

Quoteguenter 4.) To get google page use http://www.google.com/ncr (no country redirect) a. It doesn't work with cookies disabled. b. Google's home isn't exactly a convenient search string. Quoteguenter p.p.s. Can someone test whether these work only for me? https://www.google.com/search?client=kmeleon&num=100&prefdom=US&q= some more results https://www.googl

Hmmm, after more tests it seems that anonymouse.org isn't happy about my new search string for Google. They asked me to fill a captcha before continuing. - Shit- Quoteguenter p.s. at the bottom-right of the google page is link where You can change to google.com. A rather cludgy solution since it does not stick. It doesn't stick because Google wants you to subscribe if you

@ JohnHell Yes it's because of the IP address. A test with http://anonymouse.org/cgi-bin/anon-www_de.cgi/http://www.google.com confirms it. My new search string for Google: http://anonymouse.org/cgi-bin/anon-www_de.cgi/http://www.google.com/search?complete=0&num=100&q= Thanks JohnHell !

@Günter That's allready set to en-US. The assholes are redirecting because of my IP address. They are trying to force cookies on the user in order to avoid redirection.

It worked fine until lately. Although the search string specifies .com, I get redirected to .de. It's not K-Meleon specific. I get the same frigging redirection in Opera Presto and Firefox too. For whatever reason, Google doesn't respect the TLD specified in the search string anymore. Wonder if there's a decent workaround by modifying the search string for Google?

@ JohnHell 1. Many thanks for taking the time to test! 2. You are right! Sorry, I don't know what went wrong last time I tested. I did retest know and flash doesn't get load. At least not until I permit it by clicking the arrow.

Quotesiria Hm, but when I play a youtube video, it only starts *loading* when I click the arrow. Before not, or the red progress line would be much further already. Sorry Siria, my bad. I was wrong. Tested again and flash content doesn't load until I allow it.

Correct me please if I am wrong but since we are at it, there is no way in K-Meleon to effectively block flash. The FlashBlock extension merely prevents flash content to be played, while the content gets loaded in the background. Only solution I have found so far is to keep the flash plugin invisible for K-Meleon. If I want to watch some flash content I have to fire up another browser where I

QuoteJohnHell And, also, this image is a little tricky as it has 2 or more colors to make transparent. Look at this zoomed image. There are various greys to remove: If you want to preserve the quality of the image it is better to keep the grey but transparent: I don't know if IrfanView is the proper tool for doing so.

Quotesiria Converted Yogis original 25-kB bmp manually into a 16-color bmp with irfanview, and now it's just 3.2-kB bmp Just wonder which original 25-kB bmp are you referring to? As for 16-color BMPs, imagine how nice skin they would make.

@ JohnHell Hmmm, you can simply open the Aura skin transparent bitmaps in XnView and save them as PNG. For those with magic pink you can use GFIE Pro.

Yogi
@ JamesD For pixel art BMPs like those of the Klassic skin that don't have complexity in backgrounds/magenta, the easiest way is to use Greenfish Editor Pro. Save as PNG. That's it. Edit: Sorry GFIE Pro may not work on Win98! It might not work on W2K too. At the time I was on W2K I have used an older version. That worked (3.30???).

QuoteJohnHellBMP skins are actually pixel art. If that's always the case then it indeed isn't a deal. The Klassic skin, the only one I looked at, is such an example. QuoteJohnHelland haven't complexity in backgrounds/magenta. I had such images in mind. You can easily transfom a complex transparent PNG with shaded colors into a magic pink BMP, that will look perfect. Copy &

@Günter One has to decide what's more important, 100 old skins or an evolving browser. It's just my opinion so don't beat me for it. Same applies to extensions. I assume that some of them don't work out of the box already. @JamesD Maybe some of the skiners will update their skins. As for reversing a magic pink .bmp into a transparent .png, it could become a cu
