Quotecaktus Yep. Did all of the above but still no images at will load. Try the Spasche.net "parallel connections" site: http://www.spasche.net/files/parallel_connections/ If you get "0" simultaneous connections on that one, then I think you need to use a new K-meleon user profile since it may be corrupted. since you're using XP, did you install "Multi-use

um, i don't think IE7 supports TLS 1.2. but IE8 only in Win7/Server2008 R2 DOES support TLS 1.2. IE7/IE8 only in Vista/Server2008 support TLS 1.1.

Quotefoobarly I felt a strong urge to chime in on this, so here: I am still, among other things, a Windows XP user -- no Vista or 7 for me, as what could be viewed as a mere OS upgrade gets to be to the best of my knowledge a dramatic hardware downgrade, not to mention in usability (why relearn everything you amassed through years as an user?). That being said hmm, what kind of computer

Quoteslayer What about network.http.pipelining is anybody using that? Does it work? it might. I set network.http.pipelining to "true" and network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true" AND network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to either "8" or "10" slayer and caktus: I hope you're NOT ignoring network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy and netw

Quotedesga2 Interesant test: K-Meleon 1.5.4 => Page load time: 13840 ms. All images showed. Firefox 2.0.0.22pre => Page load time: 14361 ms. 5 images not showed. Both with the same config in prefs: network.http.max-connections => 24 network.http.max-connections-per-server => 8 you may want to bump the numbers up to the following: network.http.max-connections => 64 ne

QuoteDaveski17 What is it with webpage widgets? Firefox/SeaMonkey has problems in My Yahoo! but not in My MSN & K-Meleon has problems with the mail widget in My MSN. It's unusual for KM to have problems like this in my experience. It works OK in Hotmail now. Maybe the Gecko 1.8.1.24 is having some conflict with some MSN gadgets/widgets? It seems fine in normal MSN pages however.

QuoteJamesD I have never used Opera but I do use undo last closed in KM. Did you know you can set the max number of undo operations. Mine is set at 5, but I seldom do more than 2. SESSIONS - OPTIONS is where you can set your max number. well I have used Opera for several years now (and using latest release - v10.51) the "real" RAM hog for all browsers is "adobe flash"

It's fine in Opera 10.50. & SRWare Iron (Vista Home Premium). thanks Fred. for the next release of K-Meleon-SM, you may want to change the predefined "user agent" strings for Firefox, Seamonkey, IE and Opera to more "modern" versions. I found out how to do this. Find the I10n.js file (I think it's in the \defaults\pref\ folder and edit it in Notepad. I changed the following section: ---------------------------------- // Priv

Quotesnuz2 Another even simpler reason is the size of the memory cache. FF default may be higher. Although I would expect more of a constant difference with multiple tabs rather than the ratio he seems to report. Still, a tab doesn't necessarily eat a lot of resources and memory. Also, how customized is that FF? Any extensions? Extensions aren't under mozilla control and could be real m

Quote4td8s I think the User Agent strings in KM 1.6.0a should be changed since KM 1.6.0a is based on Gecko 1.9.1.x. Instead of "Firefox 2.0", it should say either Firefox 3.5 or Firefox 3.6. And for the Seamonkey UA string, it should say "Seamonkey 2.0" instead of "Seamonkey 1.1". Some modern web sites (like youtube) may still work but will complain that you'

perhaps that bozo will change his opinion about K-meleon when version 1.6 gets released later this year, which will use a gecko 1.9.1.x engine similar to Firefox 3.5.x.

Quotecaktus I tried with both KM1.6a4 and IE 6 and all of the links seemed to work but the game (if that's what it is) did not seem work at all. Maybe the problem is with the website. KM 1.6a4 does NOT exist, caktus. if it does, WTH did you get it?

Quotepanzer Old news. And it is not short list since there are 12 browsers involved. totally agree with panzer. no need for Booty to make a big deal out of KM being on Euro's browser list. already figured that out a week ago.

that's the good news ndebord. bad news - once Seamonkey 1.1.19 is released, that will be it...for good. I've just confirmed from KaiRo that he'll EOL the Seamonkey 1.x browser series right after SM 1.1.19 comes out. no more new SM 1.x (mozilla-1.8) nightly builds will be produced after that. yup, end of the road for the SM 1.x browser. oh and the release date of Thunderbir

Quoteguenter Quote4td8s FTP sites still fail to work in KM 0.096.5pre, Hao. typing an FTP site in the address bar shows an Open/Save/Cancel dialog box. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,103184,103654#msg-103654 Probably missing dll. yeah i guess. and if that "missing" DLL file is present in KM-CCF ME, an XUL error appears as you said in another forum thread.

attention folks. I've just read on the following page that Thunderbird 2.0.0.24 could be released on 3/12/2010: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases/Thunderbird_2.0.0.24 once that gets done, a Seamonkey 1.1.19 release may follow. maybe there should be another RC release of KM 1.5.4 (like RC2) before finalizing it.

thanks Fred. and Ctrl+T hotkey is implemented into KM-SM2.03. nice! also, FTP sites also work in it, unlike the KM 1.6.0a and KM-CCF ME 0.096.5pre versions I've recently tested.

Quotedisrupted in the furute don't use the ff useragent unless it's necessary unless of course, you can change the FF useragent to FF 3.0 or higher. but I'm much better off using the default KM useragent on Youtube as they're abandoning old versions of FF/IE/Opera/Safari

like with Hao Jiang's recent K-meleonCCF ME builds, K-meleon 1.6.0a does NOT work with FTP based sites with the ftp:// protocol. Reproducable - ALWAYS! type in an FTP site like ftp.microsoft.com or ftp.mozilla.org in KM 1.6a's address bar. expected result: A list of files and folders should be displayed in the KM browser actual result: KM 1.6.0a shows an Open/Save/Cancel dia

the Browser Choice option will NOT just be limited to only Win7. it will also be available (as the upcoming KB976002 update) to WinXP and Vista users who also use those OSes in Europe; I read something about this in MS KB article 894199.
