According to Wikipedia (maybe not the most accurate info lol) KM 1.5.4 is due out November. Will I be able to update automatically?

I have noticed that on many Yahoo! pages I have to reload the page 2 or 3 times to induce KM's adblocker to work. My ISP is BT Yahoo! & I have the Yahoo! toolbar on Internet Explorer (8). I don't use IE 8 very often (hardly ever) so I can't see that the Yahoo! tooolbar has anything to do with this. This can happen on other sites like IMDb & others. Although it is not as bad

Well, my knowledge of computers is quite limited, but that sounds like a good explanation. I have mentioned this on MozillaZine but no one claims to have noticed it. It is very probably something to do with the Ajax java scripting of some sort because the sites that seem to suffer are ones that you can personalise & interact with, like Gmail & a 'My Yahoo!' page. If I re

At least I have learned that I have to delete AbiWord from the C-Drive first now if I want to upgrade. The files should be OK in 'documents' & totally deleting AbiWord then running the installer of the upgrade should have been the way to do it. It's all a learning curve right! This was the problem with the last upgrade but I hadn't figured it all out then. AbiWord i

I find that everything actually works fine with K-Meleon, except for Bing Maps, which tells me it doesn't support KM but lets me use it anyway. It all seems to work fine. Firefox is over-rated if you ask me. I wish K-Meleon would have worked on my computer when I first downloaded it in December 2008. 1.5.1 wouldn't bookmark properly. It's fine now. It's just a happy accident t

I have noticed that if I spoof Firefox 3.5.5 more adverts & banners seem to get through K-Meleon's adblocker. So it is probably best to surf on default as a whole.

I just wondered if anyone uses Firefox at all. I have it on my computer & I thought the Fx #2 series was OK, that was before I discovered K-Meleon of course! Anyway, I have noticed that sometimes Firefox (3.5.5) won't load properly in my 'My Yahoo!' page & sometimes in Gmail. The page loads OK but the throbber will still be active & the green ribbon indicator above

That's all very interesting. You are right, Firefox 2 is good enough to get into Bing Maps!

That's a really interesting site. I think I will leave my user agent as Firefox 3.5.5. for a while as it seems to be less of a problem getting into certain sites with K-Meleon then.

How often do you have to spoof your user agent when using K-Meleon? I have found that I have to spoof Firefox 3.5 for certain sites like Bing Maps. Even SeaMonkey 2.0 has problems with Bing Maps! Visit this site to check your user agent. I visit it in other browsers & copy & paste the agent into a word processor. Then I can use the custom user agent in K-Meleon.

OK, thanks for the replies. I will try to answer all of them. I am using the default user agent. I use Yahoo Classic Mail in K-Meleon. I find I can't use the drop-down menu in Gmail either. However, I forgot about Ctrl-V which works fine, Plus I forgot about Menu bar-Edit! I can copy normally (with the drop-down menu) or with Ctrl-C outside of the mail text box, but it won't work if

I have just noticed that I can't copy & paste text from a webpage into either of my email text boxes (Gmail & Yahoo!). When I right click in the text field I get the 'Back/Forward/Stop/Reload' dialogue box instead. Other browsers work fine. It is only a minor glitch but I have no idea why this is happening.

OK, The files couldn't be opened from documents & could only be opened in Abiword. I decided to totally uninstall 2.6 from the C-drive. I thought it could be uninstalled from the start-menu. I have downloaded 2.8.1 & it is running perfectly. The icons have come back (in Abiword) & I can open abw files from documents or Abiword now. You are quite right, I had no need to up

OK thanks. I'm OK with 2.6.8 now. Apart from the icon change it seems to be working fine. Actually I have a feeling that you are correct, I may have forgotten to close it down when I tried to upgrade. When I clicked 'check for upgrades' my browser opened at the Abiword Webpage. Although, I am fairly sure I had everything closed when I ran the installation wizard. I may have just ha

Does anyone use Abiword (word processor) & if so have you had any problems with upgrading it? I tried to upgrade to 2.8 & downloaded the installer, when I ran it, it claimed it could remove the old 2.6. Instead I ended up with both word processors on the computer. Eventually, as I couldn't get the spellchecker to work I uninstalled 2.8 & have stayed with 2.6. It seems

I'm curious about Aspell & ieSpell. I have both of these on my C-Drive. I believe I originally downloaded Aspell for the Opera 9# series spellchecker. ieSpell is for Internet Explorer of course. I just wondered if anyone has experimented with copying any of the files from these into K-Meleon?

OK thanks. I have copied SeaMonkey's (Mozilla.org) en-GB.aff & en-GB.dic into my K-Meleon dictionaries folder & I now have a choice of US & UK spellcheck.

OK, that's interesting, thanks. It would be nice if someone designed a UK English spellchecker for K-Meleon that had right-click prompts, an 'add to dictionary' & 'ignore' function which was easy to download though LOL! Maybe for my future Christmas wish list!

Yes, I can select English UK or English US now. Before I only had US English. I copied en-GB.aff & en-GB.dic from Mozilla.org (SeaMonkey) into K-Meleon's Dictionaries folder. There is another file in SeaMonkey ~ README_en_GB, but I am not sure what it does.

I copied the UK English dictionary files from SeaMonkey & I now have a choice of UK & US English. It would be nice to have a right-click prompt selection though. I will have to work on this!

OK thanks. I thought as much. I thought I might be able to copy a dictionary from Abiword (or some other dictionary I have) into the K-Meleon dictionaries folder.

OK, thanks for the information. Is that extensions folder underneath the 'Dictionaries' folder & above 'greprefs' with the file un_SpellCheck in it?
