Could it be that your new profile folder is damaged in some way? You could try renaming it to "profile.old" and then create a new profile folder.

Thanks 12 times (and several times more!), Rodocop. I now have K-Meleon Twin+ up and running. And it did not disappoint me!

The problem is not with the link, but with the download file. I can't get it to open, using 7-Zip 9.20. Is there another decompressing program that I could try?

I decided to try out Rodocop's new K-Meleon Twin+. The link he provided only yields a very small 7z file, and I can't even open it. Is there a problem? K-Meleon Twin+ sounds rather exciting and I would like to try it out very soon.

You are right, it looks a little better in Windows Classic. But I think I will stick to Windows XP, though. The background bmp is the default background for AuraAlpha. It should be in your Skins folder (if you're using 1.5.4 or later).

I meant the size of the .avi file. I attach a small screenshot to show what I mean. At least this is how it looks in AuraAlpha Large. I haven't tried it in other skins. This is no big deal, however. And thanks for the .ico files. They work very well in loading tabs.

I like the picture. It could fit the skin a little better, though (using Aura Alpha large). Also it would be nice if it could be added to the tabs, when loading (am I asking too much?)

GabMat What version of K-Meleon are you using? Maybe you should try a different version (such as Rodocop's new K-Meleon Twin; see the 'General' forum for a download link). Set it up outside your Programs folder and use a local profile (copy your profile folder from the Application Data folders).

Look for an *.s file in your profile, if you're looking for the file. If you want to view its contents, you have to use either a tool or open preferences depending on your K-M version.

All macros you create yourself should be saved in 'User-created macros' in your profile folder. K-Meleon macros have the extension .kmm. Please post an example of your macros for us to analyse.

Yeah, I definitely would have preferred my glasses. Spellcheckers? A waste of time.

Hmm - is Javascript enabled? You can also try changing the User agent, to Firefox for example.

Have you tried setting Sumatra reader as the default application for .pdf files? In Win XP that is done under My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > File types. You can also try uninstalling Adobe Reader, since you now use a different application.

I don't believe there is any substitute for Flash Player, that can plug into your Web browser. Your problem seems to be with your Internet connection, firewall settings or download speed.

What is it you can't find? The download link? Scroll a bit up the message thread. jk-- has a link in his post.

Quotecaktus More and More web sites are advising users, including KM users that we are using an out dated browser and requiring IE 9, which I understand is only available to Windows Vista and Windows 7. These sites mention that they will also accept the latest version of FF, which for some reason has always been buggy on my systems, Windows XP Home and Windows ME. You probably don't ne

Hello, Michael You may have to wait longer still -- quite a bit longer, actually. But you can try some of the K-Meleon Beta versions, such as rodocop's CommMeleon (download link earlier in the thread).

Gestures.dll seems to have a bug in it, that restricts its options when 'Mouse gestures' are turned on. Try disabling them. See also: http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/bugs/viewbug.php?bugid=1159

According to the 'Development' page KM 1.6.0 Beta 3 was released on 2011-12-12. However, it has been removed from the download page. Can I get this version from someplace else? Or was it removed for a good reason?

Thanks, JohnHell. I knew it had to do with the toolbars.cfg file, but wasn't really sure where that file was. I copied the setting and the BMP file from the KM-16-F3628 skins folder on another drive, and now the toolbar button is in place. Isn't K-Meleon just wonderful, in the way you can change its appearance and configuration simply by adding some script to an already existing conf

Some recent beta versions of K-Meleon have an Address Prompt button in the middle toolbar. KM 1.6.0B, however, doesn't. Can I add this button to the toolbar by copying some setting from those other versions? I know the macro key (Ctrl+Alt+O), but I would like to have the button too.

I also have a Hotmail account, and I have experienced the very same problems that you have. I have no solution beside the one I already posted, except of course accessing Hotmail through an e-mail client. See this page: http://tinyurl.com/yzyam88

If you're on Windows, you can use Internet Explorer for Hotmail (and Hotmail only). Live Hotmail seems designed for IE, anyway.

There seems to be a problem with the iconcache.dat file in the most recent Beta versions. If a page is reloaded, sometimes the right favicon is not picked. To get your favicons back, you can try deleting (or renaming) the iconcache.dat file, and see if your missing icons are not restored one by one.

As has already been explained to you, only some FF extensions work with K-Meleon. But as a substitute for TabMixPlus you could try TabsViewer (2 versions for different Windows OS). http://kmext.sourceforge.net/ext7.htm

Quoterodocop P.S. And once again - use portable builds. No problem there. @ rodocop Is CommMeleon 1.6+ portable, or does it come with an installer?

@ 4td8s I am using Windows XP 32-bit -- that's my problem. And I prefer the K-Meleon plugin. I can use a imageviewer program to view downloaded FLV files.
