Quoterodocop may be this one - Cruz That one looked odd to me. I couldn't find any information, like is it WebKit-based, etc. It only has 7 reviews and I couldn't find a trial version. <rant>I wish I could download a regular install image without going to an App store.</rant> Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Will go through them one-by-one until I find one I l

I'm looking for something in the spirit of K-Meleon to use on a Mac OSX 10.6 (snow leopard), Core2Duo, 2GB of RAM. The RAM can't be upgraded, so Chrome/Firefox are too resource intensive when lots of programs of running. Safari on it can't be upgraded and doesn't work with many sites anymore. (I upgraded MacOSX and it was way too slow.) Anyone have suggestions?

From reading forum posts, it seems like Print Preview went away in KM 74. Is that correct?

What are you three favorite operating systems of all time? For whatever reason, these OSes captured your imagination and heart. You can list a specific version, or not. I'll start: 1) FreeBSD 2) BeOS 3) Windows 2000

@Gordon I read the Talos report. From what I can tell, this vulnerability has nothing to do with the filesystem being read from or written to. A maliciously crafted UDF image (call it FILE.UDF) fed to 7-Zip can exploit the vulnerability by running arbitrary code. 7z x FILE.UDF Note, the file extensions is arbitrary as far as 7-Zip is concerned. 7-Zip will check itself to see what typ

I misunderstood the exploit. I thought 7-Zip could be used to extract files from a UDF image. So someone could craft a malicious UDF image to trigger the exploit. In my erroneous thinking, a man-in-the-middle attack would involve MalwareBytes' update request being intercepted and fed such a malicious UDF image -- let's call it UPDATE.UDF. When MalwareBytes would execute its equiva

How about if it's not Javascript refresh? Is there any way to disable META refresh?

Gordon, thanks for the response. I want you to know that I'm not arguing, just learning. So in this scenario, you are proposing a man-in-the-middle attack, correct? If MalwareBytes signs their updates, then this attack wouldn't be possible, right? Does MalwareBytes use the UDF format for its updates? Also, how can you force CTRL-ALT-DEL for user switching/logon? Do you mean to d

Could you kindly provide an example how the vulnerability could affect average non-Admin users?

It doesn't seem like this affect regular everyday users using 7-zip to decompress archives. Is this something that could affect servers?

Quotesiria Perhaps other can help testing ... when you give more details about those addons and a test page... I actually don't trust those extensions. So the one or two times a month I need to circumvent geo-blocking, I load up JustBrowsing from a USB flash drive and search for the extensions. I can't remember the names off the top of my head, but I'll report back next time I l

UltraSurf, etc will work if you are residing in a country with restrictive Internet access, but I haven't found a way to use these sorts of proxies with geo-blocked websites. At least last time I checked, I couldn't figure a way to guarantee, e.g., a UK proxy on the other end so I could access a UK-only news site.

Apologies if this topic is banned. Thus far I have been using public proxies, but it's always a cat and mouse game, and the public proxies are often overloaded. On Firefox I use some extensions that work well most of the time. Does anyone have suggestions for K-Meleon? Maybe an extension or some other method?

Quotefoliator It turned out that someone (maybe one of her kids) had changed her system colors, making the foreground text white, while the background was already white! I was helping a friend and had a situation similar to this. Spent all day, couldn't figure it out, swapping video cards, etc. I was just sitting there, frustrated, started playing with the monitor controls for no reason

Quotesmallhagrid Thanks for your work alerting us all to this great stuff Panzer !! I would say thanks, but I think you did too good a job. The tools there are too interesting and I'm spending too much time exploring. Someone of them I didn't even know I needed (PWGen). And I used to keep notes in a big text file, but now I'm using MemPad. Others are just fascinating... spent

It was a poor attempt at humor. Things are starting to make sense slowly. Even the difference between plug-in and macro was confusing to me at first. Very interesting to see so much core functionality is itself actually implemented with macros.

Quoterodocop No mystique 'internal plugins' ;-) So there are mystique 'internal macros' then?

Thanks! So kmeleon.plugins doesn't necessarily mean it's under K-Meleon Plugins in Preferences. It could be an "internal" plugin. Got it.

When I hit CTRL+F, type something, and keep hitting ENTER, I don't get an indicator when the search has wrapped around. That would be useful for me. (Tested on KM 75.1)

Quotesiria Did a little file search for VK_return, and found it in the macro "domcomplete". Interesting. Would you know where in the Preferences you can set the domcomplete preferences? I.e., where can you set the values for kmeleon.plugins.macros.domComplete[0-2].prefix?

Thanks. Having a lot of fun trying the different techniques. How can I unassociate a shortcut? For example, I use CTRL+ENTER in hotmail to send, but KM 75.1 intercepts it and opens a new tab instead.

The freewares thread confused me some. Can we assume that at least one person has downloaded and used each of the freewares listed there?

Is there a way to list all keyboard shortcuts? Those that K-Meleon has defined and those that are custom-defined? Primarily I'm concerned with redefining a shortcut combination that already exists.

Odd behavior: title bar shows indicator, but tab bar does not. Was not like this before. Edit: Looks like can't "fix" it without InjectJS. Better (less hacky) the way it is now. I say just leave it.

I completely forgot about the comment in the README. I would prefer you just leave titleless pages as they are. Even the other thing, I was just pointing it out because you seem like a perfectionist.
