sometime KM refuses to 'Open in new tab' (context-menu) in the first time. Try to do it again - and it works! This is one of the glitches of KM74, connected with the known page focus problem. So try to upgrade to KM RCupdate2 and may be it helps.

Quoteadodupan 3. Browsing > Window Diversion > Open diverted windows in background It doesn't work with new windows which are open by user. It deals only with automatically diverted windows (usually by javascript). It was a glitch of 1.6-1.7 versions where this checkbox didn't work. (You can read about this and the solution in my old message) Now in 74, as I see, wrong

Dorian, here the installer.nsh russified goes! I'll use this thread for some small fixes and additions made by me.

ja- and jar-files are simply renamed zip-archives so you can manage them by any zip-compatible archiver. I use Total Commander where I can treat archives almost like directories, so any editing of jars or omni.ja becomes very easy and convenient.

The same behaviour in RCC (and in all the 74 betas). I second this report as bug with one addition: KM74 when getting link from third-parties - opens new tab, but only AFTER it loads external link in current tab.

Dorian, thank you for your job! Here was a stupid question but I solved the 'puzzle'. So just add to the first update (and for new releases) correct chrome.manifest from rootfolder. It must contain 2 lines not only first one: binary-component k-meleon.exe manifest extensions/extensions.manifest

Quote4td8s weird. I don't have spelltest installed at all and I am using KM74 b4. I looked in K-meleon Plugins section and I dont see a spelltest plugin. Nothing weird. KM74 has no any spelltest by itself but uses Gecko's one (built-in from engine). And KM 1.7 depends on spelltest kplugin - so that case IS weird, yes.

Great, Dorian! Does it include u2-update or I need to unpack them one after another?

in new KM74 spelltest isn't driven by spelltest kplugin but derives from the engine package.

QuoteDorian You could use forum attachment. Yes, but they are available for me only in Extensions subforum. QuoteDorian EDIT: installer.nsh is missing in your translation. I need some instructions on what is to be made (and where) with installer.nsh as I had not previously dealt with installer l10n (neither my precursors).

Dorian, if things came to session behaviour fixing, may I remember one old glitch from 1.6 and still here in 74? It's about session saving time or 'event' (i don't know technically): if you close some tabs (windows) right before KM exit than after restart all them reappear. To 'delete' them from saved session you need to open new empty tab and close it before

You don't need right-click to copy from context menu. Right-click (on any linked content or simply link) is needed only to get focus back on page. Try this. I have it working now.

Great news, Dorian! You're right: let's do it step by step. Your job - our reports and feedback - and again! No one stable release is ideal in the reality!

JohnHell, popup blocking DO work, but exceptions DON'T. I've seen this icon but when I add an exception nothing changes for the site. General popup blocking still blocks windows added to exceptions.

Popup exceptions do not work in KM till 1.6 (may be earlier). If this isn't marked as bug already - I want to report this so.

kiopkpokjp, we speak about K-Meleon users - not all users in the world. K-Meleon doesn't purport to be real competitor to the Big Four (or Five if Safari is taken in account). It's small niche browser mostly for old-schoolers who like to control every part of their work and their tools. It can get more popular but it doesn't have enough human resources now. So all devs

I'm working (though in the background mode) on the brand new skin for KM TWin, so I decide to create some versions of it (like in AuraAlpha case) - full, compact and 'chromed' - last using techniques from this thread. Thank you, comrades!

'Based on firefox' - isn't correct thesis. K-Meleon is based on the same BROWSING ENGINE like firefox. Engine is the back-end entity, the part that takes webpages from server and renders the code to display them in graphic view. But the 'shell' (window with its borders, toolbars, buttons, menus etc.) is the separate part of browser. So FF and KM share the same engi

Thank you guenter and JohnHell. secretman, you behave like a troll now. Well, you're a good troll as you help us to know something new about kmeleon but all the same it isn't good way to communicate. We told you more than once that KM is just one of the browsers available and isn't The Magic Box for all possible wishes. Some things could be made, some couldn't - bu

most pages with active scripts get focus correct. But simple pages without active content (for example, mobile versions) are not focused in general. You need interact with some active content on the page (I usually use right-click on any linked content) or with urlbar to 'activate'. And this one is new problem of KM74 only. No such a glitch in 1.6. The second one is the old

Quoteguenter The newer browsers hog resources and are slower on machines with limited resources. That's why next Twin will contain KM 1.6 too. 74 will replace 1.7

Quotesecretman I have many problems with gmail on some browsers: Gmail has two different GUIs - standard (modern) and simple (light, for old browsers). Modern GUI eats lots of RAM and CPU. So, the old stable K-Meleon automatically is switched to light interface, that isn't so automated and script-rich like modern one. That's why stable KM performs good there. But you can sw

Also you can move existing profile with some manual workaround. In Profiles folder you should see the file profiles.ini. Want to move current profile folder? Well. 1) Close Kmeleon. 2) Move profile folder where you need. Copy full path. 3) Open profile.ini (which should remain in Profiles folder) with text editor (loke notepad) and make changes for your profile. You'll see smth lik
