If you're using the latest release of KM (and you don't state whether you do), it should work. However, its performance depends greatly on your system and your RAM. Have a look at this support page: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/tech-specs.html

Preferences > Browsing > Set as default browser. I didn't fully understand your question, but I hope this can help.

Quotepanzer https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/image-resizer/ Your posts are great, Panzer, but why advertise Firefox addons here, which presumably can't be used in K-Meleon?

Quotellewsrac Many thanks for commkmeleon I have been frustrated lately with the other versions of KM running the cpu up and freezing on some sites and using F9 to disable pictures. I have trialed your version and find it to works with no hitches so far and I cannot get it to freeze. The negative part of Km is once you get use to using all the little options that Km has at your finger tips

Setting Google as my default search engine is enough for me. You could create a separate Google folder in your Bookmarks that has all your Google stuff. Or setting Google as your home page.

I'll take your word for it, Rodocop. I think I will wait for your next version, though, before I try out CommMeleon. BTW: The bug in KM-16-F3628, which I described earlier in the thread: I fixed it by unchecking 'Bookmarks' toolbar and then locking all toolbars. Now the toolbars all stay in place.

Quoterodocop I'm working on next CommMeleon - user friendly custom build, which includes all the best what KM can give. Check the forum! Rodocop, my AVG 2012 antivirus finds two instances of Win32/Heur virus in your *.rar download file (which I haven't unpacked yet). Is this a false positive or is the program not safe to use? Friendly regards, Kleon

I have also been trying out Fred's new unofficial version, and I like it, except for one thing: when cookies and cache are cleared the central toolbar disappears, and some dropdown menus in the top one are minimized. I was thinking of using KM-16-F3628+ as my backup browser, but here is an annoying bug.

I recently downloaded and installed Google Chrome to use as a secondary browser (K-Meleon is still my default browser). Although I can't say I like Chrome very much -- I find it rather slow -- I would like to be able to send pages to it, that display poorly in KM. Now, I have the send-to-Internet-Explorer macro installed and active. Can I modify it to also include Google Chrome? Or, if th

Quoteguenter Currently, the timeout is determined by the system-level connection establishment timeout I have no idea how to change that "system-level connection establishment timeout". Mozilla (on which engine K-Meleon is based) may not have solved the timeout issue yet, but if you're using Windows you can increase the number of connect retries. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYS

Try this: In about:config go to network.http.connect.timeout default Your setting may be 30, so you can change it to 60 or 120, maybe even 600.

Javascript is easily turned on and off in K-Meleon as well. I thought this was a KM question. Or am I missing something?

I don't know if this is a K-Meleon issue, since it's also present in Internet Explorer, but here goes: Recently, I have been seeing red-dot placeholders instead of small images on certain websites, for instance the posting form on this forum. Is there a security tweak that has to be turned off, or has this got to do with a recent Windows update? XP Pro SP3; K-Meleon 1.6.0
