Re: I keep getting that too. Looks like a problem with language/translation settings. But I've stopped working with the ALPHA release because for some reason I could not get the menus File, Edit, etc.to show up on the toolbar.

Today In installed Gecko 1.8.1.8 Update to KM 1.1.2. But I was unable to find any documentation regarding the update (which BTW, probably means I should not have installed it yet.) And so far I do not notice any change in 1.1.2's behavior. Does anyone know the purpose for the Gecko 1.8.1.8 update? Thanks.

I am currently using KM 1.1.2. Can K-MeleonCCFME0.08a5.exe be installed beside or over 1.1.2. Or is it necessary to uninstall 1.1.2 before installing CCFME0.08a5? I understand that CCFME0.08a5 is stable and even faster. So figured I might go ahead and try it, even though it's an ALPHA release. Thanks. Charlie

I downloaded a .pdf file from a site on the Internet. I was expecting it to open in "Foxit" (a local .pdf reader.) But it opened as shown it the following screenshot. http://myfilestash.com/userfiles/downloads/pdfservelet.bmp Does this mean that KM has it's own .pdf reader? Thanks.

During setup select "Default" if it asks if you want Foxit to be your default PDF reader. If it doesn't ask, don't worry about it. When you open a PDF document for viewing, Foxit should automatically open it for you. It's pretty much an install-and-go application. Foxit reader is a pretty reliable app. but if it doesn't seem to be working properly, just reinstall it.

I too have Adobe 8.1, and it works fine with KM. However, I actually use and recommend Foxit Reader The paid version has some extra features. But the free version works much better than Adobe as it is very small (2.1 MB verses about 20 M and unlike Adobe it loads very fast. Hope this is helpful. Charlie

I have "CSS Ad-Blocking" selected, but I keep getting places holders where the ads and images would be. How do I prevent the place holders from appearing in pages? i.e. place holder screen shot Or at least I think it is a place holder where an ad or image would have appeared. Thanks.

user_pref("kmeleon.plugins.macros.mail.mailClient", "\"%ProgramFiles%\\Outlook Express\\msimn.exe\""); is in Prefs.js When I open the context menu and click on "Send Page As Link" nothing happens. And OE is set as defalt in Internet Options > Programs.

Don't now when or how, but the "Send Page As Link" feature in the Context menu is broken. The command is present in the Context menu, but when I click on it the email application (OE) nolonger opens. Does anyone have any idea how I may have caused this, and how I can fix it? Thanks.

Just for fun I kept at it. I had been working with menus.cfg/settings. I assume menus.cfg/settings is the global menus.cfg file. I tried coping the edited (experimental) menues.cfg from menues.cfg/settings to Preferences/Configs/User, and the Toobar menus were complete and functional with the abreviated menu names i.e. Fi = File Ed = Edit Vw = View Fav = Favorites Groups = Groups Tls
