K-Meleon
Cookies allow websites to store information on your computer. Cookies have many legitimate uses but can also track your browsing history. Tracking cookies store your location, IP address, sites that you've visited, links that you've clicked, and sometimes purchase history. Advertisers use tracking cookies to serve targeted ads based on your online activities.
You can block all cookies with the privacy bar but this will cause some websites to break. You can also use the privacy bar to clear all cookies or to clear cookies automatically. To automatically clear cookies when you close the browser right-click on the privacy bar or go to Tools > Privacy > Clear Data > Clear Automatically to open the settings panel. From their you can choose to clear on startup or shutdown for several types of data including cookies.
To reduce tracking cookies, you can use K-Meleon's cookie management. To manage them go to Edit > Preferences (F2) >> Privacy & Security where you will see options for blocking and clearing. Many cookies will have reasonable expiration dates. Upon their expiration, the browser will clear the old cookies. Tracking cookies linger as long as possible, but you can set cookies to expire either at the end of session or after a certain number of days.
You can also allow cookies from the originating website only because nearly all tracking cookies are third-party cookies. This will block most tracking cookies. Unfortunately, it will also block some legitimate cookies for embedded content.
K-Meleon can create exceptions to always block or always allow cookies from certain websites. If you are blocking cookies and want to allow a site:
You can also use extensions like CookieKeeper or Cookie Monster to clear, block, and manage cookies in K-Meleon.
CookieKeeper is a xul-based extension that supports K-Meleon. You can run the extension straight from the developer's official xpi file or you can use the community's package which includes the extension and a toolbar button for K-Meleon. Check the forum thread for more information from the developer:

Cookie Monster is an external application that is called from a macro to delete all cookies. It is not applicable to the current versions of K-Meleon that support this feature natively but useful for older releases like those for Windows 9X systems. The macros to launch Cookie Monster and create custom toolbars are archived here:
