Gmail Setup in K-meleon (half working)

I have just started to use K-meleon and think that it is wonderful. Thanks to the developers for all their hard work so far.

I have been trying to get my gmail account to work with the mail button that comes with K-meleon. I have searched for the past hour and have come up with:
Read Mail = works.
I use "http://mail.google.com/mail/"; as my link in "configure email". This takes me to my inbox and works fine.
New Message = nearly works.
I have gone into the registry (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command) and changed the (Default) to
<"C:\\PROGRA~1\\K-MELEON\\K-MELEON.EXE" h t t p ://mail.google.com/mail/?fs=1&tf=1&source=ig&view=cm&to=%1> (all on one line minus the enclosing symbols <> I also had to put extra spaces in http to get it to display correctly)
This opens a gmail compose message but has "mailto:<emailaddress>" in the to field when all that is needed is <emailaddress>.

Does anybody know how to get rid of the "mailto" part?

Also, one major thing that I miss from firefox is the google browser sync (the ability to sync bookmarks, cookies and passwords accross multiple PC's). Is there any plans to have something similar in K-meleon? managing muliple PC's can become a nightmare.

I look forward to any help.
