15, Male, USA, I just switched from Firefox. I need speed because I am forced to use dialup, and this browser seems so much faster it is laughable.

I don't like penguins too much, they all seem to think that being a penguin is the only way and hate humans totally (and yes, there is a underlying message there )

I'm 45, Argentina. My wife prefers Firefox but sometimes uses K-M. My daughter (12) uses K-M. And I use K-M for known-safe sites and Firefox for searching 'cause with Siteadvisor, Netcraft and NoScript extensions is more secure. I'd like to see these extensions availables for K-M!

I see no point in how a browser can boost your dialup's maximium speed. Like you can't boos highway's car capasity just by building better ramps... What you need is more lanes. >
K-meleon is more like for the computers with limited RAM & calculation power. Or for people who like to twinkle i.e. "optimize" their software.

Oh... Almost forgot; Male, 18, Finland. Have tested K-M over several weeks. Before that, opera.
K-M is bit more stable, otherwise they're quite equal.

I'm 18 here, in United States. I just started using K-M a few days ago, but it's speed is unmatched (512MB RAM, 1.7Ghz Pentium M). I usually (well used to) use Firefox, but it has gotten slower on the new releases and I dont need a fancy browser, just something that is light and fast. I've also got Opera, Mozilla Suite, Seamonkey, Netscape, AOL Explorer, IE7, and Flock (for Windows) and Firefox, Opera, Mozilla Suite, Galeon, and Kame-something or another for Linux.

Yes, I get bored a lot, and love to play with software :-)

Hmm. There was a similar post last year. Looking @ the post makes me feel like an old foggy. That too at 35.
I have been using k-meleon since .8.2. Except for some https sites Kmeleon is my browser. I don't recollect how I came across it (must be my age) but just like others in the forum I like it because it's simple and just a browser and it's fast. I never liked firefox for it's bloat and IE well let's not even go there. BTW I am right now in Bangalore India.

I switched to K-M becuase it uses less resources compared with Firefox. though it's a little tricky to use becuase some things are different from what i was accustomed to.
example:
1.press down in the URL bar to go through the different links instead of pressing TAB.
2.in connection to #1, when i scroll the past web sites in the URL tab, i was used to having the title of the site displayed as i scroll down the links.
3. some add-ons/extensions that i use with firefox.

and some more things i was used to with my previous browser.

i'm 20 btw.

I am a 43 years old woman from TURKEY(Ä°zmir).I have got 2 PCs.On one of them I use win XP and Firefox.The other one is an old PC win 98 with only 64 mb RAM. But on this computer K-meleon runs like a lightning,I am on DSL.
