To coincide with the new alpha release of K-Ninja v2.0.4, I've put together a new theme, this one is based on the look of the MSN Explorer browser, and I've decided to call it the Butterfly Effect.
It along with the new K-Lion theme by FlowX is of course available from the K-Ninja Themes page @
http://geocities.com/grenleef/themes.html
A real K-Ninja exclusive so grab it whilst it's hot!

K-Ninja v2.0.4 final is released...
I've just released today the gold version of K-Ninja v2.0.4, and it is now available for download from the Downloads page @
http://geocities.com/grenleef/download.html
The feature set that we have tested with the previous beta is still retained, plus there may also be some stability gains attained from this version as well. For those who are seriously interested visit the K-Ninja Talk! forums and check out the
K-Ninja v2.0.4 beta posting for a rundown of the introduced features and improvements.
I'd just like to extend my thanks to all those who have helped out yet again with the testing process, most notably those who have reported back useful information in the K-Ninja Talk! forums that has helped make this release a good one.
cheers,
Al.

-Not is possible choose instalation folder. (this is very bad)
(K-Ninja not is a silent ninja, is a big parrot sayed "I'm here!!!, I'm here!!!")
-STP MP3 Player not run!!!
Can you developed from k-meleonloc.dll to k-ninjaloc.dll and language.cfg files?

Ok in answer to your questions...
- I didn't realise that somebody would want such an option, and up until now nobody has suggested it.
- FAQ #453... The reason why it is is because of the option to have K-Ninja set as a default browser during setup. The registry settings are hardwired to prevent problems. If you would prefer I can put out a zip archive, so all you have to do is unzip it to where you want it, and that would also solve the first two problems you have.
- STP Player runs fine when I just tested it now. Here is what it should look like with the minibar showing at top. You will also get a little square tray icon as well.
http://geocities.com/grenleef/misc/minibar.png
As for translations I'll have a think about it. Also should point out to you, if you have any future support questions it's best to ask them in the K-Ninja Talk! forums, this thread is only here for announcements really.

STP MP3 Player not run for me. I'm deleted and reinstall K-Ninja now.
In instalation setting;
-Unselect any shourtcut in desktop icon and quick launch icon.
-Unselect set K-Ninja as my default browser.
-Rest of setting by deault, next, next, next,...
-Run K-Ninja.
I'm go to Compact Menu and: Tools -> Applications -> STP MP3 Player.
I'm push on this option, but anything success, any application on title bar or System tray, any error message.
I'm push key shortcut ALT + N, but anything success, any application on title bar or System tray, any error message.
I go to explorer and open path C:\Program files\K-Ninja2\Tools\STP , I run STP.exe
and next error message is showed:
Error; not found msvcp71.dll in paths; C:\Program files\K-Ninja2\Tools\STP,....and others system paths.
I copy msvcp71.dll file from C:\Program files\K-Ninja2 to C:\Program files\K-Ninja2\Tools\STP and NOW YES RUN STP MP3 Player with STP.exe from explorer.
I run K-Ninja, I try to run STP from K-Ninja;
I'm go to Compact Menu and: Tools -> Applications -> STP MP3 Player.
I'm push on this option, but anything success, any application on title bar or System tray, any error message.
I'm push key shortcut ALT + N, but anything success, any application on title bar or System tray, any error message.
It is only my problem? any people have it?
Sorry for post in K-Meleon forum and not in K-Ninja Talk!

I add more info:
Most recent version of STP MP3 Player is available in web site's. (10.0.43)
This new versión of player need gdiplus.dll (1.6 Mb) library, moreover msvcp71.dll.
Both versions have a same bug, when play a list volume down gradualy, at 4 or 5 files played you haven't any to listen because the volume are 0. You have modify volume for you can listen again and contiue with the player list. (Other 4 or 5 files more and repeat it)
All this in Win2000 SP4.
My conclusion is than STP not is a good player program, you must try with 1by1 player.
Bye.

Is K-Ninja pretty much dead now or has someone else taken over K-Ninja Development as on their homepage I see no links to download which is making me think they are not developing it anymore.

Thanks K-Fan, for the link. This version has no Favorites plugin. Can it be added?
I tried my K-Meleon Favorites plugin but it just crashes.

Use the favorites.dll of K-Meleon 1.02 since K-Ninja is an old K-Meleon 1.02.
Yahoo (beta) mail creates problems with the outdated User Agent strings of K-Ninja.
p.s. IMHO K-Ninja was never anything but a K-Meleon clone/theme. The reason to have an independent theme died with the advent of installable extensions.
It is time to pack the morsels of functionality that are different into an installable kmm and move K-Ninja to K-Meleon 1.1 code!

The IE7/Vista useragent string should work fine.

If it ain't broke, why fix it? Biggest complaint I've noticed from current K-Meleon v1.1 users is they cannot figure out how the new macro language, meaning getting old macro favourites to work is a chore at best, and at worst they still can't get them up and running. An easy to follow tutorial perhaps?
Any people still using K-Ninja are welcome to request an invite to join the True Underground Google Group. It's a friendly area where you can chat freely about whatever you like, pester me, work out problems etc. This thread is a little old, and I haven't used it personally in a while. Maybe it's time to let it retire to the K-Meleon forum archives, for reference purposes only. It'll be fairer to the K-Meleon devs too as they can focus in on the new K-Meleon v1.5, which is looking rather dapper I must say.
Links to the Google group are on my homepage:

Peace out,
Al.

The IE7/Vista useragent string will not work at all.
Yahoo will use JScript instead of JavaScript functions for any fake IE.
Example: document.all instead of document.getElementById() at
http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/launch?.rand=f7ugn59mk27b0 line: 451.
Result: K-Ninja cannot log in.
Do not pretend: K-Ninja ain't broke just fix and update it.
p. s. K-Meleon 1.1 and
"dapper" 1.5 share the same modular macro features that allow kmm.
Tutorials exist: so why complain and delay the creation of an installable k-ninja.kmm?

Does anyone know if K-Ninja still exists? At this K-Meleon forum banned K-Ninja
website it has a subscribe button but it does not function. This was not on the
site last month. I know several persons who have applied to the group from 6 months
to a year ago. None have received a reply. Is Al still out there? And does anyone
have a download source for K-Ninja?
P.S. This is really stupid. Someone has banned the above name. I guess this post
will also be removed. So a few want to make the most mature internet forums the
most childish. I would like to know what other users think of such. Now if I am
wrong I am very sorry. However I am aware of all the bickering regarding K-Ninja.
