Bookmark tab (+all bookmarks) and history missing from browser

When I opened my K-Meleon browser about an hour ago, all my bookmarks, the Bookmark tab and URL history were completely absent from the toolbar.

What has happened??? More importantly, can I get them back?

Click on Edit-Preferences-K-Meleon Plugins and make sure that Netscape Bookmarks has a check in it. If not, place a checkmark in it and close down then reopen the browser.

AND IF THIS DOES NOT WORK ...... IS THIS AN UNREGONISED PROBLEM BY THE DEVELOPERS
