the 1.5.3 exe version sez 1.5.2.. or it's just the same exe and only libraries have changed.. the gecko version reads correctly(.21) and 1.5.2 bugs are fixed

i hexed it so i don't get confused when testing.. now exe reads 1.5.3

The official announcement here will be probably for all languages, not only English, German, French, Polish, Russian - some translations did not make it through the spam filters in time. And must be reviewed.

p.s. pt-BR.jar is possibly already in testing. I fetched the pt-BR.jar from Your webspace. Chrome translation files are UTF8 not ANSI. After I had found the jar. I resaved as UTF8, send the chrome to kko and a mail to You. Only the pt-BR.jar is not sufficient for official Brazil version by xGrind

Windows default editor is stupid and does not show You the encoding.
Plus is too stupid to use the same format as the document is. It forgets and likes to save as ANSI not international UTF8. :mad: Many had that bug - there are anciant bug reports and discussions. My default editor, pspad, shows encoding in status line.

Do not worry about chrome I feeded it with German K-Meleon menus. Here it showed all Your pt-BR diatypical letters. Hope it works for kko too. Do send Your last chrome also and especially the other files that are more needed. weekend is amost over. We already have 23.36 h in Germany. I still download Vista SDK for building myself a GRE. Before that I downloaded and installed Windows 7.

When You send - I forward to kko, kko does inspection and fixes technical buggs. His mail program knows mine. So my mail should reach him without been eaten.

If I did not work on PC, I would be in bed and would not have found Your post.


p.s. Ansi shows all letters that English version has. So You do not see it.

The files for pt-BR have arrived just after I wrote this post. I have immidiately forwarded all mails to devs Dorian and kko. Lets hope they get through this time.

Mail to kko was lost. You can only reach some PPL when their spam software knows Your mail address. AFAIK xGrind is finished we have discussed in the old thread with alain what is needed.

I had started the chrome from his home page in my K-Meleon, noticed that letters and pages were broken. As I said it has happened before & I use an editor that shows original encoding and other things in a status bar below the edited text.

xGrind can look and send all files that are translated - he speaks pt-BR.
It does not matter from where they come. But AFAIK he was finished.

My only comment about that page :kmeleon.50webs.com. No K-Meleon should have a higher version number than the official. Else PPL go find it, have a look - if its the wrong language they go again and may be lost for K-Meleon. Because they think the official version is old.

And that is also why it is IMHO good that K-Meleon project has all translations together on one page. And additionally maybe on traditional other places.

Example: All German K-Meleon downloads on private home pages existed since 0.8.2 and the German public had not noticed.

You could find PPL writing in Forums and PC magazines that it is a nice browser but English.

And this lasted until Dorian and kko placed translations on the SF download page!

In your community in Orkut, Alex says he has stopped with the project of K-Meleon 3.2.

I sent only the translation of K-Meleon for Alex. The project and the site is only him.

Can you install this one over 1.5.2 and keep all of your settings? I seem to recall that's all I did when I installed 1.5.2 over 1.5.1, but I'm not positive about it.

Uninstall 1.5.2 but does not remove the settings and install the 1.5.3 in the same folder.

You can force another version info via preferences.

AfAIK this still works.
