Tu otra cuenta, acabo de probar y puedes cambiarla todas las veces que quieras.

A ver, la de de Shiro Naomi, si es la cuenta que quieres utilizar, tiene actualmente la contraseña que hablamos por privado y puedes cambiarla tantas veces como quieras.
Yo, haciendo pruebas, la he cambiado varias veces, he salido del foro, borrado cookies, etc, y siempre pude volver entrar y cambiar la contraseña tantas veces quisiera.
En resumen, Shiro Naomi no tiene ningún problema de funcionalidad. Si quieres utilizarla, no deberÃas tener ningún problema.
En cuanto a la cuenta Shiro, como ya he avisado en este mismo hilo, es funcional, siempre y cuando no se cambie al contraseña nunca. Y, de hacerse, sólo podrá hacerse mediante un administrador.
Por favor, lee mi último correo, y si quieres poner una contraseña a Shiro, o no puedes entrar en Shiro Naomi, a pesar de que ya sabes qué contraseña tiene, respóndeme con la contraseña que quieres y te la pondré. Te avisaré con otro correo de respuesta que todo está OK y puedes entrar.

I have tried to register as a new user - weeks ago - but am caught in registration hell:
Try to log in and get "username is inactive or invalid"
Try to re-register and get "username is already registered..."
Try to re-register with a different username and get "email address is already in use by another user"
If there is supposed to be some kind of e-mail confirmation sent asking to verify a registration attempt I never received one.
Love using KM browser, really starting to hate the forum. Sigh...

I prefer to block accounts, in doubt, than allow by default and suffer from spam. Yours is one affected by this policy.

For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to contact anyone until today. Didn't know if it was going to work even because the Reply form for this thread was blocking requested entry of my username and/or e-mail address for the same reasons.
If I knew more about php I would offer to help with the SPAM situation. From what I understand at other boards there is a lot of "whack a mole" involved controlling SPAM when using php and little else on an automated level is offered.
Anyway, off to ask some silly newbie questions about Goanna. Thanks again.

I had to create a new user with an email-address of another domain than the previousl. I always got "The e-mail address "user@domain.tld" has been banned from use. Please use a different email address or contact the forum administrators." (btw: I won't mention the whole email address here for privacy reasons - but as much: it is from a provider in switzerland containing vtx (btw: no, it's not "vtx.ch" (that would be the provider's internal domain, not for public mail use))). WHY t.h. without any information in a PM or else why this blocking was done??? A further problem is: I first tried to creat a new account with an eMail-Address (of mine that i use for over one or two decades - longer than KM exists) of the same provider - and get the same blocking info (that the email-address has been banned). This shows that you obviously banned the entire provider (and not only the email address - as stated). It's interesting that you banned email addresses that never before were used for an account here.
But something else: for me it is obvious why you get too much spam: for registration there is no confirmation by the entered email necessary. Anone (or "anyspammer") just can create any new account and start writing - even if the email address is not belonging to him and he cannot receive any mail via that account. Without any email confirmation for activating an account before being able to write you won't be able to fight spam as it should be!
Sorry, but what happens here is a shame and does not show professional behaviour - and specially not the rude communication style inside this thread.

I can almost guarantee you that you're on the wrong track with your assumptions, and that you've not been blocked manually or knowingly or permanently. Instead it's 99.9% either 1) that fatal forum bug (as described in the first post of this thread, guess it hits when someone changes either his password or mail addy), or 2) it could be an accident with the current automatic spam blocking rules filtering too broadly. Both can be fixed, that's what this thread is here for.
At any rate if you look at your old postings and click the link to your old profile and it does not say "was deleted or blocked" or such, but still looks like a normal profile, then you are NOT blocked individually.
If the reason is 1), that stupid bug has already caused enough rude aggressions and offenses here
PS: KM may be older as you think, this forum is 18 years old ;-)

To clear things. You had to create the new account because you couldn't login with your previous account, right?
If so, did you try to change the mail address to the old one? Because is the only reason you can't login (I tested with other test account just in case). I tried to warn about it around the forum to avoid doing it. Now you'll need any administrator assistance, like me.
Your old account hasn't been banned, and the bans don't apply to login problems, so, is the above.
You'll need to send me a new password so you can log-in again with that old account. There isn't any other method. If you agree I'll send you an email so you know where to send the new password. But, remember, if it is the case, you won't be able to change the mail address or password for that account never again, or it will be blocked again. Not by me, or anyone, but by the system.

This was a side effect and I can't give details why this happened. Shouldn't happen to you or anyone else now. But we haven't banned any domain. Believe me.

SourceForge has blocked any mail system to work, internal or external. It is out of our hands to fix it. They should have kept the external and this forum script has the ability to use external servers, but, even they blocked them.

I don't get what professionalism should we offer here. We are an open source community of voluntary people helping and managing the forum voluntarily without being paid at all. There isn't any professional here. We aren't even webmasters, we just administer and moderate the forum with the tools given for it. We just use our best human efforts with the tools at hand.
And what rude communication in this thread? Can you give any example? If I have been rude in any comment, I apologize for any emotional harm anyone could they feel.

Only and admin can do. But if you have done what is told in the fist post of this thread and in the forum front page, you won't be able to change it later.
And if you already requested to reset your password to the phorum, I don't know if that would involve the same block status and you won't be able to change it later. I haven't seen that scenario yet.

Hmm, none? When clicking on the J.G. link in the other posting above, the profile looks perfectly normal and working. Perhaps a typo when logging in? Or perhaps a temporary technical bug? Whatever, am sure an admin can fix that.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I don't see well due to my disability. I have tried to enter all words slowly one by one to log in but I am unable to post nothing when successfully logged. Probablemente ha sido un bloqueo antispam.
Aunque veo que pudiste iniciar sesión, pero luego la cerraste. ¿No habrás cambiado el correo como he advertido varias veces que no se haga, no?

No has probado, precisamente, con "Shiro Naomi". Has probado con todas las combinaciones, menos con esa
.
La de shiro a secas ya no sé cómo quedó, pero la de "shiro naomi" sigue activa y sin problemas.
Prueba a meter asà el nick, porque no lo has hecho
(sin las comillas, claro)

A ver, no quiero empezar con cambios de contraseñas para hacer pruebas, pero yo te digo, que lo estoy viendo ahora mismo, que no has intentando hacer login con "Shiro Naomi", a no ser que al servidor le haya dado hipo justo cuando has intentando hacerlo con esa combinación exacta de letras de tu nombre de usuario.
No te puedo poner una captura del panel de administrador, por razones obvias, pero te digo, que no lo has hecho

EDIT: acabo de probar justo ahora y, como no sé tu contraseña, pues me ha dado el error que corresponde, y en el panel, aparece el intento de login.
