No, Adblock plus completely remove all those "stitched" ads/videos on youtube. I have been using it since a long time with my own custom filters/rules. I don't use the built-in Adblock dll, didn't spend time to understand its blocking way so I am not sure whether it will accept Adblock plus filters.

You can do it with KMeleon Goanna 76.2.1 (and also I think with other versions too). however it's some kind of rude way: > menu, tools, privacy, disable images. Obviously you will see no images at all, anyway videos can be played just clicking over them. This is what I do in several low speed free WiFi spots to gain some speed, also I reduce video quality to 144 for music videos. Otherwise 240/360 and sometimes 480 are good values for old computers.
