Despiste this should be talked about on its thread, just tell, to avoid any confusion, that the site won't disappear, it just wouldn't be accessible, except this forum under kmeleon.sourceforge.net

Is there a way to enable extensions icon on toolbars ala New Moon?
I have tried installing extensions (example: ublock origin) and they don't show up on toolbars and the show dashboard button on the addon page don't work, so you might think it doesn't work
but manually going to chrome://ublock0/content/dashboard.html#settings.html and you can see that it works just fine.

K-meleon interface is totally different to those browsers.

You either have to setup a button "hacking" the ublock extension to do similar things like Kris_88 did with some extension and you can find in the Extensions forum: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/list.php?9 ; or you can create a button and add that URL to bring up its dashboard with K-meleon macro language, and with the of toolbars.cfg, depending on the macro method, with its reference on the K-meleon documentation pages.

For further info search the forum (loads of info how) and if you need anything else, please open a new thread smiling smiley

ROYTAM1, please optimize the Kmeleon browser as much as possible before access to this site is no longer possible through this web address. This is because some Kmeleon users may not know the address from which the browser download can be accessed, ie the one from sourceforge. It will be necessary to cover through the last build before closing the site the problems that may appear within 1 year until this web address will be available again. thanks

I feel I repeat myself, even where there is a self explanatory thread open to the case, but the forum where roytam posts the updates, will be always accessible through kmeleon.sourceforge.net.

Will users be automatically redirected to the functional adress? This may be a good idea smiling smiley

No, is not possible, just remember that SourceForge projects default webpages url is projectname.sourceforge.net, and in case of K-meleon, kmeleon.sourceforge.net and in the case of the forum kmeleon.sourceforge.net/forum

I really appreciate all the efforts Roytam1 ad others had/have done for KM.
BUT. all I need to know, regarding KM Goanna keep getting "updated" by Roytam1, thanks to him, I CANNOT UNDERSTAND A SINGLE LINE whenever he posts a new release info.
ALL I need is:
K-Meleon Goanna is becoming a modern browser?
KMG can download from mega.co.nz?
KMG can do all things what Firefox can do? or at least some of it?

can anyonme translate Roytam1's technical words into simple English so that we can understand and be happy knowing our beloved browser is getting modernization?

Thanks

KMG can download from mega.co.nz?

Make all you a favour and use MegaTools (it has a version as far as XP SP2, I can tell) with Mega services. No more browser compatibility issues.

The other questions, just tell that the Goanna engine version built with K-meleon, this is 3.5.0 branch (and for what I understand Goanna is on 4 now), is being updated when possible with those fixes.

Technically doesn't tell much to me, but is a log of what is updated or that is updated, if you prefer.

Roytam could answer better.

you can disable Content Security Policy for login google services by changing `security.csp.enable` to `false` in about:config.
there are some preliminary CSP changes that might break pages from working.

Everything is OK with the stable KM Goanna build KM76.3.1-Goanna-20201212 , Google, YouTube and everything OK can login.
Needless to say I tried deleting this and that , replacing this and that, changing UA etc.
please tell me what I am doing wrong?

you can disable Content Security Policy for login google services by changing `security.csp.enable` to `false` in about:config.
there are some preliminary CSP changes that might break pages from working.

I don't understand why you Roytam don't make these changes without the need for users to look for so many settings and change them. And this is not the first situation like this when you ask users to change the settings. I have a headache from all of those settings....

I have a new information for you. In version KM76.4.5-Goanna-20211016 the search for images in Google dont display anything. The images is displayed only if I disable the JAVASCRIPT! In version KM76.4.5-Goanna-20211009 search for images in Google is working without disabling JavaScript.

Maybe you know why Opera, Google Chrome and possible other browsers cant access mega.io cloud storage website for many weeks. THE ERROR MESSAGE IS:

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from mega.nz (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more
NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

mega.nz normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Chrome tried to connect to mega.nz this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be mega.nz, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit mega.nz right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

WHEN THE WEBSITE WILL WORK AGAIN? Maybe you know something about this.... I have the latest versions of browsers and I am using Windows 7 Professional on 64bit Intel processor. thx

Hi, roytam1,

thx for the new update. Sorry to say but the gmail accounts seem no longer to work. The login page does not go further than the fill-in of the account name which disappears immediately. So one always stay at the beginning, no possibility to fill in the password.

Hope there is a solution for that.

Have all a nice week-end

Mala

Thanks

With each so-called update the browser works more and more faulty. Roytam.

The error message seems to be something related with failed script:
https://twitter.com/?failedScript=vendors%7Emain
Changing UA does not work for me.
