Tiny update to
version 2: added "about
:profiles"
Not sure which functions meanwhile work fully or partly in latest KM-Goanna, hence the "?". In old KM1.x most of those pages didn't work at all, but since KM74 more and more got fixed, incl. buggy translations.
Of course this tiny macro is still just a draft, to have at least *something* to open those many important functions, for users unaware they even exist. The final goal is to use the same menu structure as Firefox&Co, but am personally not familiar with it. Which line goes into which parent menu, and what are the usual names? Any volunteers?

Recently I defined a new profile. When in that profile, and when clicking for example a link to a pdf file, I am not being asked whether to open or save it, although in Preferences/File Handling both "Offer to save the file" and "Ask whether to open or save the file" are checked. The save dialog appears, without any questions.
When I reactivate my previous profile then everything is as expected again.

You can manage them better through about:preferences url.
Most of the times might works better if you just remove the file type mime definition than setting a preference (ask, download).

Wow! I was completely unaware of that. Thank you very much!
Yeah it's too bad. Age old GUI bugs never fixed, and meanwhile there are even better working alternatives, using native engine functions, but no one will find them without any GUI. Nor a bunch of other most important functions, not even about
:addons
GUI matters for browser survival very much too.
