Quoterodocop Sure, you'll need KEM http://kmext.sourceforge.net/kem.htm to use extensions free and easy but it's all about just unzipping and copying, so you can ;-) Indeed, I managed to unzip and copy the kmextman stuff to the K-Meleon folder. However, I still can't see the macro. Whatever, I do not really want to add another browser, let alone IE. As yet I can do witho

I don't know how to use the macro. browser.kmm is in the macros folder and macro extensions is enabled, but I can't find the macro anywhere (yes, after restart).

I can only agree but not ease your mind. K-Meleon is the browser I like best - perhaps since Netscape. I have just tested Midori, it is less annoying than IE and the others but still not good enough. As long as it is safe to use K-Meleon I'll stick to it. But is it safe?

Is it still safe to use good but old K-Meleon? Some people are saying it is irresponsible, because the browser has not been updated for a very long time. I would hate to part with K-Meleon, although there are problems on a number of web pages, unfortunately a growing number of pages.

Thank you. This thread should be in the bugs section. I manually deleted the files in the K-Meleon root directory, reinstalled it and the missing preferences were back. Good. Unfortunately there is another bug which started today before reinstallation and has not disappeared. When I want to go back to a previously visited page I have to click "back" twice, because all pages on

Quotedisrupted your k-meleon chrome is corrupted.. if you're using a dev or alpha release then you should use latest stable 1.5.4, in any case you need to reinstall k-meleon to replace that chrome I am using 1.5.4 and reinstalling did not change anything. Now I want to delete all K-Meleon files and reinstall it again. But is there a way to save the bookmarks?

Quotesiria Weird, no idea how you managed to get an error when clicking bookmarks > options... But frankly, if you find clicking Bookmarks > Edit > A foldername to change its name too complicated to figure out, then you'll never get happy with K-Meleon. Only frustrated and wasting time. Perhaps Firefox suits you better? Some customizing things are definitely easier there, and tha

OK, thank you, I've found it. The way is Bookmarks/Edit/Properties Besides, Bookmarks/Options is not working. There is an error message: XML Parsing Error: undefined entity Location: chrome://kmprefs/content/pref.xul?kbookmarks Line Number 4, Column 1:<dialog xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"

I can't start 1.60. There is a message about missing msvcr8.dll which is indeed missing. What can I do?
