Thank you, dear FAQ. However I had seen this answer before and it's not the thing I asked for. I don't wish to change the behavior of the all 8 accelerators, but only to assign this alone action/accelerator for opening links in background. Does it mean, that tuning of such type is not possible in K-Meleon? Thanks!

Thank you JohnHell! You advice works. But could you give a hint, where from one can find the correct language codes (abbreviations) for different languages? Thank you nickk too,but at the moment I use the previous 1.5.4. version and there is no such GUI option there.

Hi, I could not find neither in the Preferences dialog nor among extended configuration keys the setting, which assign a preferred language for sites with multilanguage support. For instance when I enter google.com, I'd like it to open not the English page, but, say, in German one. Thanks!

Quotesiria Anyway, haven't tested but guess your mistake is here: location </b></i> + '<br> should be location + ' </b></i><br> Yes, you are right. Thanks again!

siria JamesD QuoteMaybe you could post your code for savepagewithorigin.kmm in this thread. Perhaps in editing the code, some unexpected change has happened. Thank you, guys! I could now find my mistake and it was very stupid: I tried to use the macro with a slightly different code in K-Meleon 1.5.3. and 1.5.4, that's why it did not work there :s When I copied it in K-Meleon 1.6 inst

QuoteJamesD Just tried on KM 1.5.4 and it worked just fine. But at my system this macro does not work with K-Meleon 1.5.3 and 1.5.4 versions, although I've tried it tens of time. When I choose the command File -> Save page w/origin... and get the OS' File Save as... dialog on the screen, the whole content of the current page is gone immediately (even before I press some other butt

QuoteJamesD Try this code: I think both the w and the e will then work. Yes, now the both the menu accelerator and the hotkey work. So simple they things are - but only if you know exactly, what to do Thanks again!

QuoteJamesD This was my fault. I don't make much use of accelerator keys, so I did not include one for the macro. setaccel( "CTRL E" , "macros(_savepagewithorigin_RunCode) "); Thank you, but this way is not just exactly the thing I meant (although this way is good too). Please take a look at this screenshot to understand, what I thougt under the accelerators keys

Quotesiria Two possibilities, not sure which is better. There is a third option too: to add accelerator to the new menu item "Save page w/orgin", as almost all other items in the menu have. For instance the command has an accelerator letter , the command has an accelerator [] and so on. Is it possible to assign the accelerator symbol to the new command "Save page w/orgin&quo

Thank you, Siria! Once more request: how I can re-assign the hotkey Ctrl+S from the standard to this new command in the menu ? I'm quite sure, that it is possible, but as a novice I am not not able to do it myself.

Some questions for cutomizing this plugin. What should I change in this code in order to change for the text being added to the original page: - the inserted text itself, eg to add words: "This page is saved from the following original URL" - the font of the inserted text (face, color, bold etc) used for the inserted text - the alignment: put the inserted text in the centre of the

QuoteJamesD I have something. I hope it helps. It does not seem to put anything in the source code and if the top of the page is black or dark color you might not see the text. The macro adds a new item under the file menu. See the last post in this thread for the code. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,117802 Thank you very much JamesD! Your code works fine!

QuoteJamesD Where do the other browsers put the URL when they save the page local? I just tried my IE and I don't see the original URL. It depends of your browser. For instance Opera add the line <!-- saved from ...... --> with the original URL as the very last line of an output file, while Internet Explorer and Google Chrome put this line in the beginning of an output file (as a ru

AFAIK K-Meleon is one of the very few browsers, which can not store the original page URL when saving the current page into local file. Internet Explorer, Opera, Google Chrome, Maxthone and many others do it by default, Mozilla FireFox even has several add-ons to do this task in many different ways. Is there any option to save URL to the file under K-Meleon? May be via some extension? Thanks!

QuotesiriaTo get the menu with the word suggestions, one must install (for BETA) the extension "Spell Check 2" from kmext.sf.net. Basically the engine only needs 2 of the additional files, the other included files are there to get a translated menu entry instead of "Spell Check", or contain information and source codes. Could you specify, which 2 files from the package are n

Quotesiria Quoteleopolduswhere I can get this file spellchk.dll? actually in KM1.6beta does not include this file, but there a file \components\spellchk.dll with other parameters: modification date is 2010/10/12 and size is 141 312 byte. Odd, why do you get another date? Mine is 2010-12-11, and I even checked again and downloaded from your beta2-link. Again it contains the file dated 2010-12-

Spellchecking works now! Thank you all, siria, guenter and all other people! Just to know the next time: where I can get this file spellchk.dll? This time I have used the copy kindly attached by guenter to him last post, but where he has taken it from? Sira has referred to his post of from 9:21h, but actually in KM1.6beta does not include this file, but there a file \components\spellchk.dll w

Quotesiria What we say all the time, you have it disabled in your settings: plugin is "false"! Yes, I agree. However I've just toggled the meaning of this string to "True" and restarted K-Meleon. But there is no any effect Quotesiria And your "components/spellchk.dll" seems missing? I've found in my backup copy the file components/spellchk.dll, but

Well, I'm quite confused, because you guys give me partly contradictory advises :O. Semms, that my problem is really complicated. May be this additional information causes some new ideas? Thanks! My version hasn't been updated, and it's perhaps the reason why it doesn't work (not compatible with 1.6.0b and 1.7.0a) ... After, install Disrupted version. Sorry, what do you mean under "Disrupted version"? Thanks! BTW, let's look at

Quotesiriaor you need to open the kmm-file (macros folder) and change the dictionaries path from "...Dictionaries" to "...dictionaries", as the actual folder name is. Sorry, but what shoud be the name of this .kmm file the folder K-Meleon\macros? The only file there, which could be connected in any way to the spellchecking, is the KMEShelper.kmm, but there is no any paths at

Quoteguenter There are two spellchecker plugins that are for different versions of K-Meleon. /.../ Some of the links You posted are referring to the original version, Spell Check, that is made for & only works with K-Meleon versions up to K-Meleon 1.5.4 that use the Gecko Rendering Engine 1.8.x. Well, I see it. However those unneeded files I've copied into folders by mistake should not
